  1. Attempting to actually mod Skyrim successfully for once
  2. Whatever happened to that talk about Vortex supporting author-friendly modpacks so that users with limited time can actually play Bethesda games instead of spending absurd amounts of time configuring files they barely understand (and basically have to become modders themselves to do)?
  3. I was trying to run a Lootification SkyProc Patch when I get an error complaining that PerkusMaximus.esp has an invalid keyword reference for ClothesThalmorBoots It calls the .esp 3125B0PerkusMaximus_Master.esp and gives the message: java.lang.Exception: ClothesThalmorBoots has an invalid keyword reference: 3125B0PerkusMaximus_Master.esp The patch will fail. Clean it in tes5editand rerun the patcher. I even blocked PerkusMaximus_Master.esp in the BlockList but it still does this regardless if I include the prefix it gave the .esp or not. Any help?
  4. Noted: I did add mods to Enderal but only mods that other users have claimed to use without issue. If more information about this is required, I can provide my short list of mods. - I turned on OS Allocators in Crash Fixes while I lightly modded my load order through Mod Organizer. - I use the Injector Version of ENBoost because the Wrapper Version doesn't play nice with my laptop and broke one of my Skyrim Installations some months ago when I began modding. (That, and ENB Host used to pop up a million of itself) - I ran the game and all was fine until I began walking up the first hill and the game crashed. - Crash Fixes claims it could be a corrupted Nif but I have no idea where that could possibly be coming from. (Not to mention that I've used Crash Fixes in the past and I have had very bad experiences with it in that I can seemingly NEVER get Skyrim to stop crashing every time I try to mod it. Incredibly bad luck.) So, I repeated the process again but without DynDOLOD and but forgot that I left the Tree Billboards on in MO and got a different crash code. So, I went back and disable the Tree Billboards that DynDOLOD depended upon and didn't use ENBoost and got the SAME crash code as the very first time. Also note, the crash logs claimed they were all because of corrupted Nifs. I have no experience with models/nifs/textures in the way of creating them, but I tried getting to the bottom of the crash logs by finding my way to a Crash Fixes forum that tried to teach users to be able to read and understand them by going through the Dump files they create. I'll link to it here. So, I tracked them down in TES5Edit through Mod Organizer and found that the code led to Skyrim.esm Considering that the Skyrim worldspace doesn't exist with Enderal installed, I take it that the location it took me to was an Enderal cell within Skyrim.esm The second crash log code doesn't take me to a place in TES5Edit. However, what I was looking at didn't seem to have an inherently obvious name for the start of the game so I have no idea why TES5Edit even led me to that location. All I learned from this, is that I can't find where the corrupt Nif is and I can't even fix it for myself with Nif Healer (I'll also link this) if I can't find it. The Nexus Forums' file system prevents me from uploading the Dumps, even if I archive it with 7zip but, if that helps, I can upload it to a safe file share location. Since I used the method suggested from that Crash Fixes forum, I can copy and paste the results of the dump files into a text document. Here are the screenshots that show my mods in MO and where the error code shows up in TES5Edit. The mods I'm using are some from this list.
  5. Yes, I use that crash fix in your first link; it's what tells me what's going on with CTDs. As for STEP, I tried to follow it as closely as possible but I admittedly have a very long load order. However, I've been over that load order a ridiculous amount of times. Aside from that, I just remembered that I think I recall LOOT mentioning ITMs, but I have to double check. Not sure if it's the root cause or if it's a lucrative incompatibility that I overlooked. Thanks though, I still appreciate your effort. If anyone can identify what this code means or what codes like this mean, I'd still appreciate that knowledge.
  6. Hey, I've been moding Skyrim for the last few months and I'm fairly convinced that I've elimated memory allocation CTDs. I have a "CrashFixPlugin" log that tells me when and why stuff crashes and it gave me an error this time that I just don't understand. This is what the log says: 22 Apr 18:35:02 Game has crashed with exception address 0x6CDDA480! Any help you can give for this would be appreciated!
  7. Okay, I've increased the value and removed Verdant and retextures that were present at the time of the CTD. This significantly increased the performance but after reaching the wolves on the way to Riverwood and attacking them, I CTD'd on the first hit that I landed.
  8. Here's the SKSE.ini settings: [Memory]DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=1024 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 [Debug]WriteMiniDumps=1 [General]ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 EnableDiagnostics=1 I am running Windows 10 and I have compatibility patches for SoS and COT. I thought ETaC was just an exterior overhaul and didn't know for sure if SoS was incompatible with it. Though, I would add that I did run google searches for patches and didn't turn up one for SoS + ETaC.
  9. Here's my memory settings: [MEMORY] ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true DisableDriverMemoryManager=false DisablePreloadToVRAM=false EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false ReservedMemorySizeMb=512 VideoMemorySizeMb=2000 EnableCompression=true AutodetectVideoMemorySize=true Also, the link you tried to set didn't link to anywhere for some reason. I was able to highlight it but clicking didn't do anything.
  10. First off, if you've come here to help, three things: 1) Thank you. I've lost track of how long I've been trying to solve this. I'm a bit of a semi-noob. 2) Yes, I have the memory patch. 3) My crashing problem involves memory running out but for different "sources." (Feel free to skip this. This is a timeline of odd-happenings and how I got to where I am now.) The Timeline: ------------------ I've installed many mods wished to play Skyrim, like many-a-player. To then be disrupted and introduced to the realm of CTDs. I've only recently started modding (about a month ago) and found this extremely disturbing. So, I did everything I could to try to make the game as stable as possible. However, I did add many new textures, and I will tell of that afterwards. After I re-modded Skyrim and attempted to optimize it, I deleted all of my old saves to get a clean slate and start anew. Upon starting anew, I encounter a bug where the carriage at the beginning of the game flipped wildly out of control. I was able to bypass this by just re-attempting a new save until it was normal. (Didn't take too long.) After I got to the character edit screen, I recall crashing after pressing F12. After this, I started a new save again and avoided F12. I proceeded the game until when you first enter an interior and used XPMSE to use Dual Sheath Redux to eventually find that I could no longer find the Styles menu, within MCM. (I actually had a moment where I couldn't access any of the MCM menus but I reloaded and then it was just XPMSE. I then re-patched everything to see if it would work, and got access to it again. I did, but only until after I extited the cave with the bear at the end. The Problem: ------------------ Every time I leave this area (the first cave of the game), on the way to Riverwood, the game crashes due to a failed allocation due to memory. I know this, because I have CrashFixPlugin that attempts to help with issues with loading cells (yes, I know, the memory patch is for that). However, it also tells me why I crashed. I was getting so irritated with the CTDs at one point because I didn't know why they were occurring so I got this so that I can. It provides me with logs when these things happen. I also have ENBoost, to try to prevent these things. Now, arguably, this was a while ago when I got it. Before I re-moded the game. I called myself a semi-noob because, when I started, I knew nearly nothing. After all of this, I've come to learn many terminologies and supposedly proper methods of doing things. And nearly memorized my long load order in the process, while unmedicatted for ADD. :psyduck: (Lol Don't worry about that, just expressing my level of focus. I have a reason for why this is.) In short, I've come a long way from being a simple noob. I have made some .ini edits but tried to keep them as immersive and performance friendly as possible. Now that I'm talking about .ini edits, I also enabled Papyrus logs to see if it has anything to do with scripts, just in case. After re-crashing, I did not find any such log. This leads me to believe that my mods that involve scripts are not the cause of the issue. Leaving me with six possibilities: - It's a texture problem - I have too much grass (I used Verdant, which requires it's own ini settings. I've adjusted them to no avail.) - I have too many trees that are too tall - I did something I shouldn't have in my .ini(s) [However, unlikely, but I wouldn't say impossible] - SMIM - Or all or a mix of the above After all, with the logs telling me nothing about scripts and only about memory allocation, I find it difficult that the culprit is because the pack of wolves I'm immediately confronted with were originally trying to kill a elk and said elk tried to run away when I walked not 2 minutes away from the cave entrance. I have attached my load order, ini edits, and the most recent crash log for review. If you believe you have a solution or can find one (or will try to find one), your help would be greatly appreciated. Also.... "May your journey lead you to warm sands..." Also forgot to mention that: - I have 16GB of RAM - 6,144MB of VRAM (According to Skyrim Performance Monitor) (It didn't do anything for me, by the way < _ > Means that I can't get any data about what's going on aside from crash logs.) - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M - IntelĀ® Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz - x8 (According to Skyrim Performance Monitor)
