  1. In response to post #82787568. #82799968, #82808553 are all replies on the same post. That is interesting, anyway I have learned something new, thank you. Done this before and have not noticed an issue, maybe I got lucky. Regardless, I have shut off my automatic updates since roll back can apparently do some damage. Pretty sure Vortex will tell me when I am a bad boy, plus I will watch the change logs on the dashboard. Will bring in updates after they have been out for a couple of days. Thank you for the fix. Have a great day.
  2. In response to post #82787568. The new version of Vortex required me to manage dozens of mod file conflicts for readme.txt and .ini files. I reinstalled the previous version and turned off the auto update and I am back to playing again. Previous versions can be found at https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1?tab=files I still plan on using Vortex, it has been a very good manager for me with my 550 mods. Every once in a while they put out an update that makes me go.....hmmmmm
  3. I like the idea of the tool bar frozen to the top, I don't have to scroll back up to access another area of the site. Thank you for bringing back the color scheme. As stated by many others notifications is kinda clunky. If I open a notification up in the first screen it will not automatically mark it as read. If I go to View All and open it there then it marks it as read. Or I can click on Mark All Read in the first screen, but for my own personal taste I don't like doing that. There are some notifications I want to read, but later. Thank you for all your team has done.
  4. I have used Vortex since version 0.17.1 and never thought of going back. Sure there was a learning curve, and some frustrations at first. But after reading tutorials, comments, and google searches this period of time was only for a weekend. Thank you for all your hard work. :)
  5. I have many FrankFamily mods, and I see another has been introduced. Thank you for all your work. Yes, YouTube can take you places you never expected...lol
  6. I am surprised at the negativity still floating around about this change. I started using Vortex while still in the alpha stage. Had a few hiccups, but got over them. How did I get past them? I researched answers to my questions. Nexus and GamerPoets has some great videos. Plus, I Googled for other answers. I am running 417 mods and my game is stable. NMM was never this stable. BUT....if you want to stay with NMM there are updated versions on GitHub, I used to go there before I took the leap of faith with Vortex. If nobody can change the API in NMM for downloading then you will have to download and install manually. It is not hard. Remember, everything on Nexus is free, quit acting like you took out a loan to use this service. I imagine at least 50% of those complaining have never donated to mod development, or paid to use this site. I put you folks in the same category with those who don't vote and yet *censored* about how things are ran. Again, I thank Nexus and the Vortex team for moving forward towards better stability.
  7. I enjoy these interviews with those who have helped not just the gaming community, but individuals as well. Thank you expired6978
  8. In response to post #64264046. #64265726, #64266996 are all replies on the same post. @hgrunt I really like the auto sort, but I had times I needed to manually move plugins in the load order. I just drag the dependencies icon from one plugin and drop it on the one next to it. This opens up a dialog box with drop down list allow you to make whatever load changes you need. The day I discovered this I was sold on Vortex. I am running 400 plus mods, Batch Patch, Merged Patch, and some esl files. My game has been running smooth. Vortex has allowed me to really look how my mods work together. I have been using Vortex for a couple of months. During the learning faze I wondered why I moved from NMM. Now I wonder why I stayed with NMM so long...lol
  9. I moved over to Vortex 2 or 3 months ago from NMM. There was a bit of a learning curve, but I have not regretted the move. Read the documentation and watch the videos. Those will help so much.
  10. First, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. I work 10 to 14 hours a day, so when I get to play I don't want to dink with the mods to make everything work. I moved from NMM to Vortex a month ago. I am running 250 mods, and everything seems to be humming right along. For the most part I like how Vortex works, there is a couple of things I wish were changed, but they are not deal breakers for me. I have never used MO2. It seemed like it would take more time to learn than I was willing to put into it. I know how to clean files, make a batch and merged patches, plus check for old forms and change them in CK. That is about it, but I think I do understand a little about the data folder issue, and I feel I understand why the route they took.
