  1. Years ago I couldn't speak English, when I came to Nexus, I always downloaded mods without checking comment section. (I even ignored comment and discussion sections.) What I noticed at most were endorsements and downloads in each mod page. Nexus in my first impression was a very awesome place like a heaven because you could always download tons of free masterpieces, most mod authors were willing to give you their permission to modify even upload their works, and most people looked nice. In addition, if you decided to become a mod author, you would get an absolute reverence from almost ALL people in the community (even if what you made was not technically profund, even if your mod was not for them), after all all you offered were FREE. Since I uploaded some mods and then attracted those who considered themselves as "elder modders" "elder players" to directed me the right and wrong and also many weird people who just left a short and rage scolding, I started to think this site a place gathered tons of dumb asses who would force many enthusiastic mod authors away. A very basic question in my mind: Have you paid? What makes you criticize me? Because you're a mod author, too? We all notice that recently there are a lot of new sites like Patreon (despite I don't like its paid feature) and indeed more and more people set these sites as their new base. Let's see who the next winner is.
  2. That is one of the reasons why I almost give up using ENB...... It is good but usually harms fps and make CPU GPU fans sound loud. Also many years after I don't think I've found a really realistic ENB preset (of course most of the presets are at least better than the vanilla game.) Perhaps just to retexture and remesh the Skyrim, then adjust default light by those famous light mods is a better way.
  3. In response to post #72689263. #72725933 is also a reply to the same post. You described what might happen on Nexus. Yes, there are still a lot of very nice people here and I believe most of them are modders. We all know this is a free place where could not avoid those un-polite people. I will not use "perfect" to describe this place.
  4. Recently many people in Skyrim community seems to be picky (on the other hand, that is because a lot of interesting players who ever endorsed very old mods like Dovahkiin Hideout, have left Skyrim, after all it's about 8 years). They use very horrible attitude to make uploaders wrong, or simply ignore your work. Some modders got a big honor, because they truly deserved it, including you, Mathy. However, I'd rather agree with the banned user, LH's viewpoint about the community. He doesn't think this is a good place to deal with people, but merely a big place to download most of mods. Finally, I think I should appreciate you, Mathy, and else other modellers who shared how they learned modelling. You make many people have more clear vision to start an owned 3D model.
  5. I think users in nexus image viewing page of Skyrim only want to see things that are colored by ENBs or sexual stuffs. Except the two kind of things no one is interested in anything like tips, a part of a new mod, or other contents without a ENB. You perhaps would miss some new mods because the authors think the downloaders are subjective to ignore the mods they spent countless days and nights to make, so they decided not to upload anything. Yes, when I upload images I want endoresments, I believe that most of uploaders think so, too. Most of nexus users are VERY VISUAL-CUSTOMARY, so things that "look beautiful" always catch their eyes, and nothing else.
  6. Hello, Does anyone has a Kynareth statue for downloading? We know that Bethesda didn't make all 9 divines' statues in Skyrim. However, it would be helpful to many mods! I'm temporarily using https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28732?tab=files to replace the true Kynareth statue.
  7. Hello, I'm trying to place some torches which ID is 0001d4ec, the standard torch. But I found that it would be burning if I just dragged it and placed it, unlike the situation that I dropped a torch in game. I want to place some torches which look like merchandises, so the torches can't be burning on the table. Thanks to your answer!
  8. I'm a modder who modify things complex. Sometimes fix simple bugs, most of time modify others' mods for what I think the contents should be. Because I think getting permissions from all of the authors for uploading is annoying, I usually only modify things for myself. Most of my skills about modding is about CK, BSA browser, SSEEdit, and a bit Nifskope, which actually don't need to build models. The time I have spent on modding Skyrim is far more than playing Skyrim, so I actually don't understand much about the branch quests in Skyrim. I think the most important thing in gaming is "fun". Gaming shouldn't look like you are working drivenly or doing something effort(actually I think being completely free is the most important thing in my life). That is why I modify Skyrim, if I still feel fun. Another similar thing is Minecraft which became popular at a time close to Skyrim's released time. But I actually like detailed meshes and textures more, so I play Skyrim more.
  9. 1. Fully open world. No loading screens. 2. More followers than one at the same time by default. 3. Better Navmesh system design or something new. 4. NPCs have true realistic face expression. 5. VERY REALISTIC AND FREE action system, whatever you do including combating. It will be VERY IMPORTANT for a REALISTIC game. 6. All NPCs have basic needs. Super creatures could be exceptions. 7. Corpse cleaners. Let things appear and disappear logically. 8. True accurate physics system, you will not see a cabbage bounces like a football. Any stuff will be broken if it suffers a deep bump. 9. I personally like player being the chosen one, I'll suggest TES VI to do the same thing. 10. Alternate start as default can be another thing. Just like what Alternate Start do. Player is a Dragonborn, but his talent can be hide. 11. Drugs simultaneously cause negative results. Although this kind of effect can be offered by mods, it is basic. Alcohol cause drunk. Everything should be physically and chemically realistic! 12. Abundant magic system, let magic be a true subject. 13. If they could make a whole Tamriel, just like what Beyond Skyrim is doing, that would be a big surprise! 14. Animals which actually run faster than human should run faster than human. 15. No UI, everything works naturally and realistically. 16. Basically, there have been a bunch of mods show how realistic a game can be. I merely mentioned some ideas of them. Bethesda knows these mods, if they spent time on exploring them. 17. Player can command followers not to attack anything. Like Age of Empires. 18. At least 4k resolution textures. Or there may be some new ways to run the models. 19. Detailed interactions with NPCs, and among NPCs. 20. Let players know they don't need to improve TES VI much, because Bethesda does most of what should be done.
  10. Hello, recently I'm making some guards for my player house. I made two guards on both sides of a throne, letting them guard by XMarkerHeading (I also tried PatrollIdleMarker) on both sides of the throne. However, perhaps because the distance of the two guards is a bit close, they always watch each other. I notice that other vanilla NPCs who guard in other places could not watch other NPCs, whatever their distance is, how can I achieve the result? Thank you very much for your answer.
  11. Thank you, it is good. I had considered to use it, but it would be a bit unrealistic because no one cleans the bodies but the bodies vanish. Actually I think there should be a mod to add some NPCs as corpse cleaner (perhaps similar to Lantern Caretakers). It is just like how people keep their environment clean in real life.
  12. Hello Is there any mod to make a result that after player loots a dragon, the dragon's corpse will be removed immediately? I think player loots the dragon bones, so the dragon skeleton should disappear. On the other hand, it will prevent roads from dragon skeletons' blocking, if Dead Body Collision Fix (or Fixed body collision) is used. Thank you very much.
  13. Found this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/Images/658678 But there's just a screenshot, there's nothing uploaded yet.
  14. In some mod rooms like Dovahkiin Hideout, some NPCs enter it because its path is more near to the NPCs's destination than the NPCs's normal way. It happens on some other mod rooms, too, if it has a two-side entrance. I've checked that the keyword of location type "Inn" has been cancelled, and set it as player house and dwelling. Should I do something other than changing keywords? Thank you very much.
