  1. I've uploaded the file here. You can take a look at it if you want too. :) -Za1
  2. Many thanks Thandal. That was exactly what I meant, and thought myself. I just needed to be sure. I was 99% sure, but needed to be 100%. Because I want to try to follow the rules the best I can. I was just trying to find my way through the Nexus jungle of rules and regulations. Because I've never made a mod that needed another to work. Thanks. ; ) I guess I can upload my file now, without being afraid to get banned. Again, thank you.
  3. But I actually think it doesn't: - My file doesn't containe anyting from his file at all, in anyway. And is created purely by me. My mod does only link to the ammo from his mod. But does NOT use it or contain it directly itself. So if I read this rule set, I can upload it, because it is me who have created it. (Sorry to keep digging. Just want to set tings straight)
  4. Hey, thanks for replying. Yeah, I know it's the best thing to do, which is why I have already done it. But what I'm asking is, if I need to do it? And do I need his permission? Just in case he never comes online. Just so I have something to hold on too. So I know, if I ever can release it, if he doesn't. Thanks -Za1
  5. Hey guys, I'm in the process of porting some of my mods from FO3 to NV. And I want to port my Railway Sniper Rifle. I can see that Trueform already have made a awesome Railway Rifle mod in NV. Which i want my mod to be compatible with. So I have made it so my weapon uses the ammo from hs mod. And therefore his mod will be required for my mod to work. It's the first time I've made is so one of my own mods needs another mod to work. My mod will not use any of the assets in his mod. But simply needs them to work. My understanding is that I only need permission if I use assets from the mod itself, but not if I just make it so you need his mod to could use mine. Is that true? Also. I've been forced to make a "copy as overwrite into" tweak in my mod to make it fully compatible. It won't change anything in the game itself. I'll try to explain: In FNVEdit, the projectile is defined under the ammunition tab. Which means that that all weapons that uses the same ammo is forced to use his projectile definition. And in my mod I've used my own projectile, - there's faster. What I've done is to remove the projectile definition from the ammunition tab. And instead defined it in his weapon. So it's only the weapon there will use his projectile. And not all the weapons that uses the same ammo. It's a bit hairy I know, but I hope you get the idea. It's a technicality, and won't change anything in the game itself. But if I read the rules black and white I need his permission to do this. Because I've technically tweaked his mod, in mine. I have already asked for permission. But it's a bit time since he was online last, so I don't know if, or when he will answer. So this is just to be safe if he don't. So what I ask after all I've written: Do I need his permission to do this? Thanks in advance. And thanks for bearing over with me. I just try to avoid a big fat ban in my face. -Za1
  6. Okay, so I guess I have to give people directions to how to copy the files themselves, if I provide the .esp? And then it's suddenly okay? xD I'm guessing that's to avoid an illegal upload of files to the Nexus servers. Anyway, if that's the way to do it, I know which way, I have to go. Thanks for the help, -Za1
  7. Hey, thanks for replying. I just stumbled on this mod. As I can see the author has portet many of the weapons from NV. I don't how he did it, or if he got permission, but since the mod had been available on Nexus since 29/11/2012 I guess it's legit. : D My question is, to make easier for myself: Can't I just take the assets I want to use (the anti-material rifle mesh and texture in this case) from him. He have written under permission, that it's okay to use his assets, so I guess it's a way to do it...
  8. A guy on this forum said something about, that you can't just rip meshes and texture from a vanilla weapon from NV, and then port it to FO3, and then release it as a mod. Can someone please clarify the rules on this subject. Or the proper procedure to do it right. I'm currently working on a mod, there adds a weapon from NV to FO3. Thanks, -Za1
  9. Yeah, but I can't really get in contact with Peekaboom. I get this error message when I try to PM him: The following errors were foundThe member Peekaboom cannot receive any new messages This personal message has not been sent I not know, if that means that his inbox is full, or he just don't want any to contact him, or something...
  10. I've just finished a mod that modify the Bozar weapon from fallout 2, so it could be used as an Anti-material riflel in fallout 3. The only problem is that I took the mash from FWE's version of the Bozar, and they say that you may not copy their stuff in anyway, and use for a public mod. My question is that if the weapon is original from Bethesda Soft's fallout 2. And then got modified by FWE, who got the rights for it? Is it FWE, because the modify it, or is it still Bethesda Soft? With other word can I still use it in a distributed mod, or do i need to keep it personally? Thanks. -Za1
  11. Sorry for the late feedback. I was busy following the development of the new Skyrim Memory Patch. Anyway, yeah, I found out the curse of the problem was Project Reality, - I just uninstalled it, made a save and installed it again. (I know you shouldn't do that sort of tings to often because the game can do all sort of funny things, because it can't find data, etc. But it seem to work fine this time.) :) Anyway thanks for the response! :P - Za1
  12. Yeh, I hear those sirens sometimes when I enter Megatron. I can't find anything related to it on the net, so I guess it's a bug, - does anyone know/ or know how to get rid of it? Btw, I'm way past the quest where you choose, if you wanna blow up Megaton, or defuse the bomb, I chose the last,I don't know if any sirens will occur if you choose the first, or something... Ty -Za1
  13. - LOL, I mean, if anyone know anything that could help with, what I requested before. Not just you. : ) Anyway, I don't think there have been any new updates recently. I guess it's just one of these things I have to live with. - It's not a critical bug. It's just a pretty annoying, and immersive breaking experience that almost all the mean NPC in the city's just stands and staring at each other...
  14. Yes I'm using BOSS all the time. And I've tryed to disable/enable, kill/resurrect, it don't work. I've tred to dig a bit in commands for dialog related commands in console. I couldnt find anyting, I found a command named "PlayScene", but I couldnt find the dialog references for the bugi dialogues anyway. I don't know if anyone knows commands, or a way to get NPC's to say things or play digalog, (everything that could make them do more than just standing there), if you do, please share them. : ) I've also tried to get the NPC's to play some FNIS Idles, but as soon as the animation stops, they just go back and look at each other. Nothing seems to help...
