  1. I found a workaround by renaming the nodes. Whatever files is moving the dials can no longer make it's changes. There does not seem to be any negative side effects. Everything is working fine so far, so I'm happy with it.
  2. I'm trying to make a 21:9 version of the Power armor hud. So I'm editing the PADashDials01.nif mesh. I cut it up and moved the health all the way to the left and the AP all the way to the right and keep the compass in the middle. Problem is the dials. In the 3D model they are not positioned where they go.There all piled up in the middle of the model. So I guessed the offsets for them are in the nif file. In the nif the dials are at there original locations. Now I go to move them, I find the dial for health HPNeedle_root. I edit the Translation info to match the new models position and it looks good in nifskope. Now I go in game and the dial is still at it's original position. What gives the dials there offset if its not the Translation setting in the nif? Are there other files that can effect the position of parts of a model in a nif. Should I be looking at PowerArmorHUDMenu.swf to see if the dials have some settings in there for there offset. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I'm having lots of fun with the game, and I can't hardly even play it, my computer sucks and I get drops to 10 - 15 fps for 30 seconds or more when it needs to load lots of stuff or when the BOS is in the air. I only have one complaint about the game, THE GOD DAMN HARD CODED KEYS!!!! I use an extensively modified control setup.I think the only 2 keys that are the same as default are the reload key and use key. I can't aim with a scope because the key I use for that is hard coded to then hold breath and I can't get out of the scope, had to use autohotkey as a workaround. I cant use the build mode to make settlements at all.The only key that works to move around is my strafe right key. The hard coded keys are so troublesome It almost makes me want to stop playing the game. There is too much stuff wrong with the keys and UI to list it all. It's a constant pain in the ass.But the game its self is good. Its like a funny, smart and hot girl that's bad at sex, If its wasn't for that one thing it would be perfect.
  4. WOW this really pisses me off. DAMN IT game developers stop dumbing down game so fools and idiots on consoles can play without getting mad that they cant win because its too hard. That's what easy settings are for, but you have this in every difficulty mode. This should only be in one game mode called baby mode, and it should only be for people that don't know how to play games and don't want to learn how to or get any better but just want to be lead by the hand through the game and told it'll be ok you cant die or get hurt just have "fun".How can you have fun when there is no challenge. It would be fine if the game was made for 10 year olds, but this game should not be made to cater to 10 year olds. Its not a game a 10 year old should be playing at all so don't make it as easy as one that would be. If this game was not moddable I would really be mad about this, and will be irritated until the GECK comes out.
  5. Anyone coming here needs to post a complaint in this thread on bethsoft.com http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1535320-please-bethesda-no-hard-coded-keybindings/ So we can make enough noise about this to get them to fix it in up coming patches.
  6. Then why has skywind or Tale of Two Wastelands not been shut down?
  7. I really would like to Redo New Vegas on fallout 4 and plan on looking into this when I can get the GECK. I was thinking about joining the people that are doing Skywind, but I have never really played morrow wind and so did not have a lot of enthusiasm to spend time on that project.Though I do look forward to its completion. So yes there is at least one person who wants too see if Fallout NV can be remade on the new Creation Engine.I hope others will come along and help make it a reality.I'll probably only be able to add the map and maybe the NPC's and if I learn how, the quests.I don't even know if I could do all that, I've done a bit of modding in the past but nothing of this scope.Mostly personal stuff that never gets published. But I will try . I cant do much in the way of programming though, so that's where I'll need help. Ohh and to actually answer you question as best I could guess. My guess would be that no the people behind skywind will probably not be doing this. I would guess that the people with the dedication to remake morrow wind are more into medieval swords and sorcery type games, and probably not interested in post apocalyptic games that much(or they would be to busy playing them to remake morrow wind). But I could be wrong.
  8. I'll bet that the textures are blown up versions of 1024 x 1024 textures used on the consoles. But I could be wrong I just like to blame consoles for everything wrong with PC games in the last 10 years. I wonder if the game would play better if one where to half the size of all the textures, and it would not even make the game look much different considering the low quality to start with. Though I can't say much about the quality. I have not had a chance to play the game yet (Damn limited DATA plan) . But I might have to try this if my game plays slow on my old ass PC I built in 2009.
  9. Don't you just F'ing Hate them data limits, I have dish network and a 20 GB month data plan.I HATE it! My data was already up before I got the game so I have not even been able to get any of it. But I plan to just download it on my laptop at the library and move it to my gaming PC. Just have not had a chance to do that yet. I would suggest doing that or if you have a friend that has better internet go to his house with your computer and finish it there. Ether way its a lot of crap to go through to get some damn date. And you bought a physical copy of it and still have to download stuff that's such Bull s***. I read about that when I was thinking about getting a copy of GTA V its the same you don't get the full game on the DVD's, you have to download a patch to finish the install. I had my nephew bring a steam backup over for me on a external HD (still have not bought the game yet but its there when I do, might need to get a patch or two but not the full 50 GBs).
  10. It worked fine for me. Are you actually extracting the files from "NPC Essential v6-8495.rar" to the Fallout 3 dir. I would guess you are, but one can never know unless asked. If not then that's why it cant find the all.txt
  11. Excellent!! Turning off auto sanitize worked, the proper texture is now showing in first person. I don't know if it might cause me other problems by not using. But I'll get to that problem when or if there is one.
  12. I'm making this mod for Fallout 3. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/19949/? I Am having trouble saving Fallout 3 weapons with nifskope. If I open the 32snubnose.nif and don't edit it at all, and save it the texture for the first person view is messed up. You can see what I'm talking about in the last image on the mods page. I don't know what I could be doing wrong, I'm not even editing the file, because I can't even save it without the edits and have it save.
  13. I think your missing some RH_Ironsight files. I don't see RH_IronSights_Basic_VanillaPlugin.esp or any of the DLC .eps files like RH_IronSights_Basic_BrokenSteelPlugin.esp in your load order. Unless some other mod you have tells you not to use them, then I think that might be your problem.
  14. I found the answer I was looking for. This post is no longer needed, so I have remove my questions. I have found for what i'm doing, it is best to use NifSkope.
