  1. Deadliest Warrior has been one of my all time favorite shows. To be able see the weapons, the armor, and the warriors brought back to fight to the death was the most enjoyable aspects about the show. The idea that this modding website was established for one of the best fantasy RPGs of all time has a lot of skimpy outfits, anime based races, and enough silk dresses to put any fashion magazine to shame. I enjoy the occasional elven race from time to time but I would like to see more weapons and armor based off history. Like to use african tribal weaponry or see actual celtic style armor and weapons. The Russian Bardiche, the Maori Taiaha, the Zande Makrigga, the Aztec Maquahuitl. etc. To me when it comes to weapons and armor... FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION. Histories best weapons were designed to kill. The manor of killing varied on how the culture wanted that job done. The Makrigga was a spear designed to thrust into thy foe and pull out any internal organs. What do you think?
  2. When Bram Stroker wrote the book, Dracula, he created a whole new world of creatures called vampires. It wasn't until Bela Lugosi came along and established the classic vampires. When Steve Niles wrote 30 Days of Night, he rewrote the entire vampire concept. Steve Niles described his view points of the vampires of today by saying "We've got 'Twilight,' which 16-year-old girls are going bat-s*** over. One of my big motivators for '30 Days of Night' was that vampires had gotten annoying and silly by being romantic. So I strip it back to where they look at you like cattle. They don't like humans. They don't spend time worrying about us. ... It's a direct confrontation with death. And they're metaphors for fear of invasion and disease and more. Vampires have the potential to be really scary. How can they be scary if cheerleaders are dating them?" After the Deadliest Warrior Season 3 finale, pitting Zombies versus Vampires, I have been hoping to see true justice towards the Vampire Genre. The vampires used in Deadliest Warrior are the same vampires that I find the most frightening. The Modern Vampire has six times the strength and speed of an olympic athlete. Instead of having two fangs, these vampires have mouth full of razor sharp fangs and claws at the end of each finger for tearing their foe limb from limb. This is my request. To recreate the Steve Niles' 30 Days of Night vampire and estabolish them as the true Apex Predator.
