  1. That makes sense, thanks a lot :) It's been gnawing on me for a long time now ^^
  2. Pretty much all ENB presets on Nexus use enb and reshade in combinations and I have been hunting all over the forums and google and I really can't find an answer to what ReShade can do that ENB can't and vice versa. Maybe I'm daft and everyone else understands the purpose perfectly, but to me it seems to just make it a hassle to tune two different injectors parameters if they do basically the same thing. I loved making presets for skyrim and I wanna get into fallout too, but I wanna know if I'm missing out on something amazing if I don't use reshade too ^^ I hope this is the right place to ask!
  3. I have a very weird problem that has followed me through a complete reinstall. I first thought it had something to do with my substantial mod list, so I posted first in the Mod Troubleshooting. The thread is here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3501390-enemies-have-extra-weapons-andor-armor-in-inventory/ Randomly generated NPCs like soldiers and the forsworn got two or more sets of weapons and/or armor. I have found Stormcloaks with three different helmets and two shields. Those with 2h weapons often have at least two of those too, or a 2h and a 1h and shield. Imperials almost always have at least two swords and a shield. I have found forsworn with two bows and guards with an extra cuirass. This doesn't seem to happen with static NPCs. The Imperial soldiers in the camps around the map got a normal amount of equipment. The only exception to this that I have found is one guard guarding the gate of Whiterun. I have also been unable to make it happen if I spawn random soldiers through the console. The equipment seems to all come from the leveled items list that the NPCs are supposed to pull their equipment from. Stormcloaks can, as far as I can tell from tes5edit, spawn with Stormcloak equipment, hide equipment or scaled equipment. NPCs are supposed to pull one item from each category when they spawn, but in my game, for whatever reason, they spawn with several, randomly pulled from that list. Sometimes they are several of the same weapon/armor, sometimes they are different. The stormcloak with 3 helmets had one of each. I have done the standard things, rebuilt my patches several times with different mods activated. With TES5edit I have been checking and trying different alterations of my bashed patch, the skyproccer patches and checking the other mods that altered the leveled list or the NPCs I have noticed the problem with. I have ran the game without patches and with different combinations of deactivating mods. I started several new saves while checking. I ran with and without SKSE. You can see my mod list and more about some of the things I tried to get to the bottom of the problem in the Mod Troubleshooting thread linked to at the top of the post. Then I tried it vanilla and the bug was still there. I checked the vanilla and cleaned DLC .esm files. No luck. I use MO for my mods, so the Skyrim/Data folder should be vanilla. The weirdest thing, as I mentioned here and in the other thread, is that I had this problem before a recent reinstall too. Back then I assumed it was my chaos of mods and the wreck that was my save file. I have also searched the forums and the net for others with this problem. I seem to be alone. Is this just vanilla behavior and I am the only one to not understand that? I am close to the point where I am ready to ascribe it to a witches curse.
  4. I admit I only vaguely know what I am doing, but I have done some more testing and scrolled thru a lot of the mods in tes5edit looking for suspicious entries that might fit. I have cleaned the bashed patch of extra weapons in the entries I could find that seemed relevant like "CWSoldierImperialGear" that had several entries for cuirasses and swords, but the problem persists. I thought it could be Warzones armory, but after disabling it in the MCM I still get the extra weapons. I have found that the regular Skyrim.esm, as you said, mostly have one weapon in every weapon class for every level (except level 1 where it got 3) or in many cases one weapon per several levels in, for example, LItemWeaponSword that I was looking at yesterday. LItemBanditSword got 8 entries for level 1 tho, so I assume that it is alright to have several weapons per level in these lists? I would have thought the game was supposed to pull one weapon from the list, but for some reason my game pulls two. PatchusMaximus.esp got what must approach a million weapons at every level, and the list also contains the extra weapons that I have found. Why it would distribute only two of them is beyond my understanding of how the leveled list works tho. I also looked at some of the entries for what I assumed were the affected actors under "Leveled NPC" in PatchusMaximus.esp too, and from what I could find the item count for the weapons were 1. During my testing I also found that the corpses sometimes had both of the weapons equipped and a shield. I don't know if that means anything or is just an engine quirk when there are too many weapons on an NPC. The weirdest thing perhaps is that I have searched far and wide over the forums and the rest of the net for days and can't find anyone who has the same problem. Am I missing something obvious? Edit: For posterity, if anyone else runs into this problem that I so far seem to be alone with in the entire world as a cruel joke from the divines, and that has followed me through a reinstall: Through what I can only assume is wicked witchcraft, I also have this bug in vanilla. The hunt continues.
  5. Thanks, figured it could be something like that! Now that I'm looking thru it I notice PatchusMaximus got something close to a billion entries under for example "Leveled Items>LItemBanditSword" but I assumed that was expected. However! While writing I found ArmorStormcloakSet got several entries for different cuirasses from vanilla, Cutting Room Floor, Cloaks AND Complete Crafting Overhaul. I think I found the culprit. I'll try culling and see if the problem persists, thanks a thousand times!
  6. After absolutely ruining my old save and entire game install after years of swapping mods, I have started over and worked really hard to make a substantial but reasonably stable and conflict free mod list. I've even gone to such lengths as to make my own compatibility patches for most mods that DO clash and don't have patches otherwise. My problem now is that enemies, when looted, often got two sets of weapons and/or armor in their inventories. I have noticed it mostly for bandits, guards and soldiers, which are also the ones I fight the most so it may also be a problem with others. I had the same problem during my last install that broke, where I used a whole different set of mods. I suspect it has something to do with the Bashed Patch or Patchus Maximus, but I really am at a loss here. I don't seem to be able to upload my plugins and their order to modwatch, so here they are: I use Mod Organizer. The list is sorted by LOOT and then rearranged slightly where I disagreed with it's choices of what should overwrite what. If anyone got any ideas I would be forever grateful!
  7. I actually experienced a valid yield at one point; I was fighting a troll and a Nord woman came running and helped me. Afterwards, she insulted me, I insulted her and we started fighting. I was winning, and she was almost dead, and yielded, so I sheated my weapon. Amazingly, she stood up, sheated her weapon and went on her way. I am not sure what the trick is, but yields appearantly does work if the stars align properly.
