So first off I'm curious (as this is my first request) how many good modders actually read these? Reason being is there seem to be a good amount of significantly good modders out there yet there still seems to be a highly lacking field of mods that nobody really touches despite numerous requests. This is the reason for this particular request which at this point I'm no longer sure whether it's based off frustration or desperation. A bit of both I suppose.... So I've noticed there seems to be excessive love given to all female aspects of the game but not much to the male. In particular the lack of authentic changes to males. Which brings me to my request (beg)....for the love of Talos can SOMEBODY with the relevant knowledge and/or channels please, PLEASE put together something for the nords which focuses on making them feel more like true nords? Applying some of the points I'm about to mention to the females would also be a plus but mainly the focus here is the males. So my idea is this: Firstly there is a very very serious lack of hair and beard love for the males in general but specifically the nords. They are supposed to be akin to vikings yet the vanilla options are pathetic and the mods that have been done so far, although really really good in some instances, just don't cut it. I must say there have been one or two like the khord, ynggvar, hasedoki, valfar follower beards as well as the dwemer beard mods though the dwemer beards still don't quite meet up to what I'm looking for and the other's mentioned are not exactly player friendly to just use ingame. Not without editing and scratching around in programs I have absolutely 0 understanding or experience of. And thats basically what's expected as the mod authors also arent always forthcoming in helping with this issue and basically have an attitude of "you want it, figure it out yourself". Secondly there is a significant lack of authentic, traditional, historically accurate viking (nord) tattoos available. Most of the mods are either modern tattoos, cartoony tattoos or just a horrible mess of un-immersive rubbish. Third, unless I'm just not aware, there is also a significant lack of realistic male bodies the likes of which CBBE and UNP did for the females. Most I've seen came close to my idea but essentially ended up being too much. Too hard and complicated to get working, to complex to understand or fiddle with and too excessive in terms of realism. Johnny Bravo type muscle bodies etc. So here is the request, something like a "True Nords", "Majestic Nords" or "True Sons of Skyrim" type mod (ultimately call it what you will) that consists of a collection of things available for custom races (personally love the ningheim race) or other races other than nord, should players be so inclined. Certain aspects available to females too such as tattoos and hairstyles. Consisting of the following: ⢠A collection of authentic, realistic looking hairstyles and long beards the likes of what you'd expect a viking to wear. Long straight beards, long bushy beards, beards with braids, beards braided into a long single braid, beards with rune inscribed beads etc. And hairstyles with beads, braids and half shaved heads. The series Vikings is a perfect reference. ⢠Tattoos authentic, traditional and historically accurate to the viking era. Runes, symbols, knotwork and pictures. A variation ranging from minimalist (one or two) to die hard (something like "baldur I think it is" from the last God of War and what I've seen from some artwork from the game Valhall). With a variety of realistic colours to choose from as well as locations such as back, chest, legs, arms, hands, face and head. Some Skyrim style tattoos included would also be perfect, such as the stormcloak bear symbol as well as the imperial dragon (being the dragonborn and descended from that line gifted with the dragon blood from Akatosh, surely there should be something to pay homage to the dragon god?) ⢠Realistic male muscular bodies like you'd expect from a viking berserker (or World of Warcraft Orc for that matter). Think Arnold in Conan. Just a big, beefy, "oh hell no I'm out" type body with options of realistic heights, weights and muscle masses. Something that has the options for a monster of a viking, tall, ripped and built. But also caters for the more regular size to small male body. Even utilising an existing mod I might not be aware of with permissions and links to said mod would suffice. All the above, as I said, appears to be something I have seen popping up over the years constantly due to a significant lack thereof yet it always appears to be the guys with no clue requesting and the modders with the greatest talents turning a blind eye. There really is a significant amount of attention on un-immersive borderline anime female mods going around and has been for a long time. But the male characters don't get the love and attention they deserve. I'm begging somebody/somebodies to make this mod. You know it's the mod we've all been waiting for....please guys. I will be eternally grateful as I'm sure many others will be too. Anyway, this is the one mod Skyrim desperately needs. Other than a few outfits, armors and weapons which are seriously lacking in the gold and royalty departmets. As I feel the true "engame" dragonborn should be outfitted according to his/her status. But that's a discussion for another day (unless somebody feels so inclined to address a "dragon king" type gear mod.....nudge nudge wink wink ð) Thanks in advance.
