  1. well, i've never had it happen... i've made like 10-15 characters and have invested 1100 hours in playing cyberpunk, and quite a few used mantas blades, was never really a fan of the wrist rocket or gorilla hands, though the mono-filament wire is all kinds of fun.
  2. i've been a fan of the elder scrolls for going on 20 years now, started with morrowind back in the day, i recall that orcish armor was extremely sophisticated, using small overlapping armored scales to create a flexible & hardy armor reminiscent of high-end 16-17th century japanese samurai armor (not to be confused with the junk armor the rank and file troops were stuck with). the imagery is very specific, it's not the poorly crafted, primitively forged garbage we see in the lord of the rings, and it pisses me off that the morons making the meshes and textures for skyrim decided to make LotR the basis of their orcish armor designs, it burns me every time i see orcish armor in this game, and it surprises me that i've never found a proper classic orcish inspired replacement set. or have i just been missing them all these years? anyone know of any good classic orcish armor sets for skyrim se/ae?
  3. So just the setrelationship command by itself then? Figured there'd be more to it. Well, thanx for the reply.
  4. i'd say there shouldn't be a set time per say, instead maybe a series of small quests that either open her up emotionally or if you play your cards poorly close it off for good, and use timers to space them out over time. ---edit so in a slightly related note... (i hope people don't mind me bringing my question into this discussion, if too many do i can remove it later i suppose) i'm playing one of the serana dialogue overhauls and it's one where she kind of informally does a marriage like thing with your character but it's just a nice cozy scene, now the issue is it's not an actual marriage as far as the game is concerned so my other custom followers will eventually start taking an interest in my character, now normally if my character was actually married by this point they would no longer take an interest and mostly respect the growing relationship, i'd like to see that with my toon & serana's relationship... is there a console command that can tell the game engine my character and serana are already married without going through the whole marriage/wedding/etc thing? just type this in and bingo the condition is set, and as far as skyrim cares death doesn't even sever this bond?
  5. looks like nobody uses the proper file structure then, this is going to be a pain... well, thanx anyway.
  6. so, i'm new to vortex, until just today had been using NMM, so, i downloaded the cyberpunk extension, and had to specify the file path as vortex couldn't automatically find it. so, i gave it the file path, and it decided to use the games base folder, which is wrong... as it needs to go into the bin/x64 folder with the executable and everything . so, i tried to correct it manually, but it wont let me, it keeps stopping at the base cyberpunk directory. so my mods never go into the correct spot.
  7. The synths don't sleep much and have 10 energy defense in VATS. actually, the no sleep thing isn't conclusive... and the +10 energy defense in VATS isn't attached to being a synth at all, at least as far as i know. ---edit watched one of those myths of fallout 4 vids about identifying synths, not all of em carry the +10 energy resistance, most likely some gear some of them carry. and besides, plenty of other things can grant 10 energy resistance.
  8. i've noticed with most game studios that over time most IPs seem to miss the details that give their titles that signature feel. in some cases it's just an overall drop in quality, in others it's simply the fact that dev teams tend to go through a metamorphosis over time, and often times the team that made the first title in a series isn't the same team that builds the next one, as key people move on, project leads get replaced, etc... now, with fallout 4... there are a few things that bug me in regards to FO4. first, the settlement system does bug me, a lot. however, it's the fact that it doesn't work all that well. if it could manage to accurately track the amount of beds, crops, water, settlers, as well as keeping track of what beds are covered and protected from the elements... if my settlements didn't randomly start dropping their happiness rating for no reason. if there was a way to uncover & track synth infiltrators, & or figure some way to deal with them besides waiting for an institute raid, and killing them when they betray the settlement during the firefight. if it wasn't for all that bs, i think i'd actually like the settlement building aspect of FO4, but as it stands it's more annoying than fun. second, the fact that several walls, structures, etc. have open spaces between planks of wood, metal, windows, & whatnot... that shouldn't count as solid objects, but do. it pisses me off when i waste a few rounds of .50 BMG firing through an opening that isn't actually truly there. you can't do that bs in a shooter. third, if you're making a game involving primarily, well firearms... you should probably do a bit of research, if you're not all that familiar with that subject. the iron sights on most weapons are off, and by a noticeable amount. the sights on most sniper scopes also suffer this problem, several firearms are left handed, and you're firing them right handed, which is an issue, unless you like shell-casings being spit into you're face, which i've seen happen many a time to my characters in my game, lucky that doesn't burn or blind them. there are other issues too, but for me those are the biggest ones. now, you might be surprised... however, i still love fallout 4, even with all it's flaws. ---edit typo
  9. lately i've been annoyed by the fact that i can't distinguish my auto-saves from my hard-saves in the save menu, as the geniuses over at bethesda didn't think to include this function... *sigh* unless i've somehow missed something basic, as this is a stupid thing to not include, especially as bethesda has this function in other games. does anyone know of some interface mod that adds this functionality, assuming i am not actually missing something? it would save my sanity.
  10. i didn't see any flickering/pulsing/flashing either. visuals look fine from what i can see.
  11. for me at this point... the best companion is anybody but deacon. i had my head explode when deacon shot me in the back of the head with a silenced .50 sniper rifle that i made for him. once was enough. i suppose i don't really have a specific preference...
  12. if bethesda could make a profit from killing free mods without backlash or a way to mitigate it from a total cost/profit prospective they will do it... however, while keeping that in mind i also feel if they attempted to do so, they would ensure their own destruction, and they are fairly well aware of that given the current state of affairs. however, if the modding community does get to complacent, or bethesda gamer fans become to indifferent... the whole situation will change, and when in bethesda's eyes the cost of killing free mods is outweighed by the potential profits therein free modding in bethesda games will die. and, frankly... i can see that happening, not today, mind you. but a tomorrow not too far away.
  13. i've got a lot of hours into this character, can't recall how many, but have completed the main questline, far harbor, and she's level 119. so everything is fine, till i head to lynn woods, and now whenever i try to fast travel i get a ctd, doesn't matter where i fast travel from or to (as far as i can tell) ctd during loading screen. i've gone back to earlier saves and they work fine, till i head to lynn woods again. the 3 times i've tried playing through this, i returned the egg in the quest devil's due, then cleared the initial raiders from the little village, then ran up the tower, flipped the switch, and helped 2-3 deathclaws kill the second wave of raiders, then i shot the deathclaws too. i plan to do a bit more testing to see if i can narrow the cause of this issue to a specific act or trigger. ---edit it seems the ctds aren't tied to the location specifically, as i seem to be able to fast travel to, around and from lynn woods if i don't do anything. ---edit again so , i've tried just returning the deathclaw egg... seems to work fine, i've also ignored returning the egg and just killed and looted the initial wave of 3 raiders that show up in that little town... that doesn't seem to be an issue. and i've bypassed the village and went right into the tower and set off the alarm and after killing the deathclaws and raiders without looting anything... still works fine. however, when i cleared the town, entered the tower, set off the alarm, killed everything, shut off the alarm then looted everything... then the fast travel ctd creeps in there. right now my guess is that looting something is what causes this issue, either a specific item, or searching a specific creature. ---edit yet again so, a lot of testing... and, i can't even be certain this actually has anything to do with lynn woods at all. it looks like this is tied to several locations that i was just unlucky enough to fast travel to while testing. areas such as... the slog, a few of those farms, sanctuary hills, the boat house. i don't even know where to go from this point. *sigh* ---another edit i'm about to reach the hair pulling level of frustration right now. so, i've managed to find a location i can fast travel too without incident, and now the areas that seemed to initially cause a ctd seem to be fast travelable again... for the moment. so, gift horse and all... i'm going back to playing the game, instead of beta testing it.
  14. The reddit post mentioned above definitely works and is very easy to do, someone else even posted the code you need to enter. just go to the steam dB console link, and enter the code, it tells you where the file was downloaded to, and you drag and drop the .exe think i tried reverting skyrim a few times way back in the day, didn't work at all, and i usually found myself reinstalling skyrim and my entire mods list too. so, since then i always seem to side with patience, and simply sit tight & wait.
  15. and there goes any thoughts of me getting sleep anytime soon, that is one terrifying idea.
