  1. I personally use the G.E.C.K and it's a REAL PAIN to use, but it is genuinely something you get used to. When I started I just spammed used tutorials and made small mods like basic weapon alteration. I made my first companion mod which required mild scripting and ever since that mod I have been pretty strong with my mods, I try to stick to my ground and only make NPC mods with friends voice acting them (since it's a real pain to find a basic mod that has a voiced NPC) At the time of this reply, I'm making a huge NPC "gang" mod that uses the reputation system NV has, with new things that I never tried like enabling and disabling NPCs, a friendly creature, sadly making one of the NPCs play that awful minigame and more. I never heard or seen any other tool that is used for Fallout 3 and NV mods besides the GECK and FNVEdit, but FNVEdit isn't really something you can make a whole clean mod with. I use FNVEdit to fix bugs that the GECK causes. Like turning your ESP into a ESM so NPCs with a different race actually uses that race. There's a bug with custom headwear, where the headwear item will just appear lop-sided on your character's head. You're pretty much cursed with the GECK. I suggest a lot of tutorials to get a good feel for your first step.
  2. yeah you're gonna learn real quick that the geck is gonna need a lot of file changes
  3. Hello everyone, in this post I'm pretty much linking a video that helps fix the lip syncing bug you find in Fallout 3's and New Vegas's GECKs. Apparently the GECK is missing ONE file pretty much, and after downloading the file the lip syncing works amazingly. The previous method I used made me use The Elder Scrolls construction set, which was A PAIN and time consuming task EVERY TIME I tried making a simple mod with a NPC. Here's the video, I hope it helps.
  4. Errrrrrrrrrrrm hi So I made a bounty mod for Fallout: New Vegas which can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/78442 There's a lot with the mod that could be way better, and since Fallout 3 was my first fallout I played over a decade ago, I should make the best bounty mod that I can possibly make on it. I want lore, personality and character with the NPCs added. (quest giver, and bounties) Sadly I absolutely suck with meshing and textureing stuff so I won't do anything gun-altering related... besides changing stats of already created fallout 3 guns and making them unique. This whole post is pretty much trying to get info and feedback off people to see what you think, and if you have any ideas to request them here.
  5. Alright so I been working on a vendor mod of mine and I wanted to add a quest. A simple talk to NPC, they give you a object to pick up, after picking up the misc item you return to the NPC then the quest completes. Issue is the quest marker doesn't work when I need to get the item. If I spawn it in my INV or pick it up the marker works when the game wants me to return to the NPC, but not when getting the item. If you need help knowing how I ended up here I followed this tutorial multiple times: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW4TvzKjPV4 Now I done pretty much exactly what the YouTuber did, the only difference was the NPC was different, and the MISC item I used was a buttercup toy. I tried setting the marker on a xmarker instead of the container, I tried making the container not be initially disabled. It just seems the first quest stage doesn't want to put a marker anywhere. (EDIT: I can provide the ESP file that handles everything if needed)
  6. I approve of this request... I wish someone made it!
  7. I'm sort of asking the same question that Teabone3 is asking. Do you mean the UI textures? OR are you talking about easy access to the Gene Projector?
  8. In Fallout: New Vegas there are no onions in it, same with mods. Which is why I propose a onion mod. Clearly I have enough skill to pull it off, I just don't to (just kidding I don't have any knowledge of fallout onion mod creating) If someone makes a mod that adds onions to Fallout: New Vegas please let me know.
