Little late to this issue but I was having the same problem. I found a workaround on my end by setting the value to "true" in the config (not in game). I can reload saves just fine now. I get the feeling too driving around out of the map and seeing that sign leaving night city :)

Okay I used another plugin which is capable of importing nif with .kf also.. It's called nif animdata utils. Can be found on loverslab

Yes I did tick the Animation and Merge Skeleton Roots

Idk how to deal with this error when importing an animated nif the animated nif is vanilla female_body nif with the animation mt_idle.kf
