awesome :) i messed up when making my pc cos it was my first build and ended up with 32bit lol.. 8gb ram sat round doing nothing lol glad to see your game is working skyrim has been the most annoying game to stabalise

just looked through your mods.. you don't have any of the mods installed that conflict with hearthfire but you have a lot of retexturing stuff.. if you're running a 32bit system your pc could be running out of ram and closing correct me if i am wrong anyone.. if you're on 64 that suggestion is moot also is HQ snow the snow that is falling from the sky or the snow on the ground.. because if its the snow on the ground it might clash with better dynamic snow.. find that on nexus i also found that the flora overhaul used a lot of ram especially if your draw distance is high .. i am no expert on mods though.. so don't take my suggestions as solutions

firstly i made a mistake yesterday.. the place i was getting the crash and the falkreath hearthfire place are actually the same place i was just coming at them from different angles so didn't realise lol.. secondly.. as i got my latest CTD when i got close to the falkreath land plot i thought it must be something to do with it so then i googled.. turns out a lot of people have this same problem.. on approach of the land plot you CTD.. it conflicts with the "Places" set of mods..so i will try those.. but yea it seems most likely to be the cause of the CTD's they are too consistant in that area.. i can 100% reproduce the CTD in that area and no-where else i have yet visited in the game i will keep you updated.. will also post how i fixed it, if i did, just in case anyone else with my problem somehow manages to stumble onto this thread UPDATE: Yey fixed!! it was the places mods: oakwood and another one can't remember the name.. although i unsubscribed from them the esp's didnt deactivate so i thought it hadnt worked but i checked just now and deactivated them and no CTD :)

thankyou for helping i have been following your list.. but i have just worked out this is actually the hearthfire CTD the same thing happened when i tried to get near the falkreath plot of land.. so there must be a plot of land near riverwood? correct me if i am wrong? so i am working through their fixes now.. thanks again though

Graphically it's running stable and good FPS on ultra settings, quite surprising as my graphics card is a GeForce GT 630 which is said to only manage medium, but i have the 2GB version so thats possibly why. Quadcore Phenom II CPU(3.4ghz) 8GB RAM (32bit windows so most of that is sleeping)

Yes it's another CTD thread.. I seem to be getting CTDs in the area around the bleak falls barrows exit.. north of riverwood.. the CTD happens anywhere around the lake and just now it happened after i exited the barrows so i couldnt even fast travel Is this a known bug with a fix? Or could it be a mod problem.. I can't think of any mod that can be doing this except maybe climates of tamriel conflicting with a weather in that area?

Hey this may have been asked before and sorry if it has. Basically I much prefer using my xbox controller but unfortunately as you know I only have 2 hotkeys.. now there are a few people who have mapped new hotkeys onto the xbox 360 controller but they also remove or move functions that the original buttons do and I don't want that.. So is it possible to free up the keyboards hotkeys 1-9 (or is it 1-0?) while the gamepad is switched on.. You modders can do many a glorious thing.. surely you can simply free up my hotkeys? :) Thanks for any help or even for telling me it can't be done :)

Hey all So i am a new Skyrim PC player converted from PS3 so of course I am having lots of fun with mods. On ps3 I never got very far and especially on the main quest I never even got much further than learning the vuld shout.. Anywho.. I have just been playing the PC version with many mods installed.. and I was fighting the first dragon ( the one the jarl of whiterun sends you to ) and this dragon was speaking english in sound clips that didn't sound very good.. I couldn't hear what he was saying but when I killed him he said "Dovakiin No!" Is this actually a part of the game and something I have done has allowed me to understand the language.. or has one of my mods made this happen? I certainly never heard a dragon speak in english on the ps3 (upto where i was anyway) and this dragons voice sounded a bit rubbish and not very immersive.. So yea am I experiencing just something the game randomly throws at you or has someone but this into a mod somewhere to annoy me (i've only installed serious mods)

So I built a new PC this week.. Budget but a decent build: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard AMD Quadcore Phenom II Black Edition (3.4ghz) 8GB RAM (Corsair Vengeance) - although my pc says 2.92GB usable in the system section I don't know why (i am not amazingly experienced) The only downfall is a low spec Radeon HD 5450 graphics card.. but even still this should be able to run Skyrim on low. I have added quite a few mods and the game was running okay yesterday.. a bit laggy in places but fine.. Now all of a sudden it stops responding after about a minute of play everytime I load it.. I uninstalled any mod I recently added and I am still getting it.. So unless someone can help me.. I just give up on Skyrim.. I spent £300 on this system and it can't even scratch my favourite game.. very disappointed

This mod doesn't seem to work.. tried it on both of my systems now.. anyone just got the files? EDIT: Thanks Chipatta how could I have been so blind!! just repeating what Chipatta said.. for STEAM users, the directory this wants to install to is wrong, you need to browse and direct it to the steam directory of morrowind.. also when you do this.. don't put it in datafiles.. but it in the file that contains datafiles otherwise it won't work
