  1. A full beta by mid March? That is fast! Thank you!
  2. In response to post #43389245. #43391895, #43394075, #43413580, #43418170, #43421690, #43422755, #43423015, #43433395, #43435465 are all replies on the same post. 60 here, but also a devoted user of MO for Skyrim (programming 6502 in the 80's prepared me for it ;). Tannin probably won't see this but I dropped $50 into his paypal years ago - more than I paid for skyrim. I was one of those who feared that he'd hit the dreaded project killing bug when his commits to MO2 dried up in July. Kudos to Nexus for paying him a lot more than I can!
  3. the latest enb's manage graphics memory allocation (somehow) and stops ram/vram mirroring. I've actually had nearly 4gb vram usage and 1.5gb ram usage.
  4. first step is to do what boss says, clean those mods. It's actually very easy and doesn't take a lot of time. You should be able to do all of those in 15 - 20 minutes. Edit: well, maybe longer since this is your first time doing it. It should still take less than an hour your first time around.
  5. Install Skyrim Performance Monitor and see if you're using over 3k system memory when you CTD. If you do, you can be almost assured that it's because your textures are too high res. It's not about video memory (I also have 4gb) but system memory. the Step forums have a perty good recent thread about this. I dropped from the 2k Skyrim HD and Skryim Realistic Overhaul to the 1K versions and went from consistent CTDs moving in and out of buildings or simply running around Solitude or Whiterun to nearly none. I'm using right around 2.9GB in Solitude now. For infinite load screens, try removing the terrain manager stuff from skyrimprefs.ini. Another thread on step said that step's z-fighting fixes can sometimes cause this. I removed those lines from mine and the number of times I hung on a load screen went to nearly zero. Finally, lotsa scripted mods? Not a clue if that's the problem and not the two above. I try to run only as few as possible of those cuz I don't have a clue on how to troubleshoot that  With those two adjustments and the last resolution I've gone from being This Close to quitting skyrim to a nearly trouble free game. I still crash now and again and have had a couple infinite loads in the last two weeks or so but it's like night and day.
  6. I dearly hope someone does. This is not the way for CoT to end.
