  1. Have you found an answer for this? I have the same issue.
  2. A question to the clever ones if I may? How do I recreate the Moondial Puzzle in Castle Volkihar? I'm rebuilding the entire castle from scratch (just for the hell of it), and the "main part" of the castle is done. Now it's time to do the Volkihar Ruins and Valericas lab and all that, but I can't figure out how to get the moondial to function. Everything is already in place, including the missing crests, so if any of you have the know-how to recreate it, I would be much obliged if you could share that knowledge. Thanks in advance \m/
  3. Is that Volkihar? Looks like it. You can't go that way. Literally. Didn't you maybe move the mod into the Volkihar region unknowingly? Even if you try to fly there in VL form, you get sent back. That castle is just an LOD from what I can tell. You actually travel to a different region, like you do when you go to Solstheim.
  4. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but did you dress them up in the CK? If so, open the console ingame, disable the npc, and enable him again.
  5. Thanks for the replies guys. The only instance of the SKY_HAV_MAT value I can see is this one: http://i1317.photobucket.com/albums/t635/Jurie_De_Villiers/Untitled-2_zpsf5eaf0c5.jpg I can't change it and it is already on "stone", but in-game the sound is still that of a wooden floor. I am aware that I am using a wooden floor mesh, but surely there is a way to change the sound? Or am I being an idiot?
  6. Asking for some help please. How do I change the sound that a floor piece emits? I Googled around and I found a mod on the Nexus that fixes the incorrect sound in Solitude and various other places, but I need to know how to change it for my own mod. I have stone floors, but when I run on them they have the wooden sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. This seems to be a new thing. Never had this particular issue until yesterday. I've had the game crash on me going to Dawnstar. I could not even go near it and the game would crash. So I uninstalled a re-installed (after exhausting all other options, naturally). Started a fresh game. Then it crashed while doing the Purity of Revenge quest for the Companions. Everything else loaded fine except that specific part. Earlier a friend of mine had issues with the game crashing every time she goes near Riften. And just now, not 30 minutes ago, I had the same issue in Solitude. So far the only thing that works is to reload a previous "full" save, outside the problem area. Could this be some Steam update causing issues? Just a thought. Seems too coincidental to see the same thing from various users. Best advice I have personally is to save often.
  8. "and I have to manually add .rar files" Oh, the horror.
  9. In response to post #10269672. #10269902 is also a reply to the same post. TooTiredToArgue... :D Now there's a contradiction to action if ever I saw one. I mean no offense. I find all this quite enjoyable.
  10. What an entertaining read. It's like watching Groundhog day on Groundhog day. There are always going to be people for this change and people against it. Now if everyone (authors and users) simply respects one another, then none of this would be necessary. Sadly, we live in a world where the word "respect" is more uncommon than common sense. In that light, kudos to Nexus for implementing this. It's a necessary evil.
  11. I just got all the things. I'm so used to CS6. Never used Paint.net in my life. But I'm going through it now and it's not that bad at all. Thanks again! Gave you Kudos on the Nexus :)
  12. Thank you very much! Gonna check it out right now. Much appreciated!
  13. Thank you DrNewcenstein. I figured it had something to do with bump map. I'll need to read up about this a little more, but what you say makes sense. The one I'm talking about is for a wall. When I place a lightsource near it, it shines like a mofo. I've had the same issue on a bed before. I changed the texture of the vanilla green to red, but ended up with what looked like a plastic sheet. So I used the vanilla _n and it was fine. I haven't delved into specular or normal or bump maps before, but now it seems it's an unavoidable evolutionary step in modding. Thank you for the reply.
  14. Hi guys. Just a quick question. How do I save my "_n.dds" files in the correct way? What I mean by that is is, is there a specific setting for ordinary files like a wood texture or a bedspread or something similar? My objects tend to shine in-game, and I know it has something to do with this filter. I hope my question is clear enough. Your help is appreciated.
  15. Avast! is probably cursing Bethesda for creating a game that has millions of followers who also happen to use Avast! Crazy stuff. Wonder how many people actually resorted to formatting to get rid of the "virus"
