  1. In response to post #56144671. #56145561 is also a reply to the same post. Quote: "...,we are also working on enabling users of Nexus Mods to contribute into this monthly pool, so that any and all users of Nexus Mods can choose to donate into the total pool for that month if they so wish." I suppose this will replace the donation system we currently have.
  2. So you are telling us that people who previously would have had donated to the modauthor directly now have to donate to the nexus. And then the nexus decides who gets the money. Well played! Well played indeed.
  3. I don't know what your problem is. You search for mod updates and if there are any it shows you a triangle with a " ! " in it, right behind the versioin number in your modlist. No need to manually check 100+ mods.
  4. For me it was a no-brainer. SSE. Mainly because of the stability and super fast loading times and the overall polished feel of the game. No need for memory patches, safetyload ore other tools. "It just works!". Some immersive features like the "rain occlusion" or "water flow systhem" are plus points as well. You will also notice that many odrim mods that fixed stuff ingame (like distance overhaul for example) are obsolete in sse. In a nutshell SSE is a flawless version of the original Skyrim. So unless you can not live without skse and skyui, and the very few mods which depend on it (most mods use workarounds like spells), there is no reason to stick with oldrim.

  7. Like the title suggests i want to change the items you get as reward for completing certain quests of the civil war questline (for both stormcloacs and imperials) to some custom items. Unfortunately those enchanted swords, shields and what you get arn't unique so i can't just replace them. I took a look at the quests inside creation kit but i couldn't find any clue about those items. So, does anyone know where the path to this quest reward items is set?
  8. This happens if you are using a mod that changes the meshes and uv mapping (you are probably using SMIM?) and then use other mods that change the textures over it. Could be caused by ruins clutter improved?. If in doubt uninstall all retexture mods, reinstall SMIM and then add all retextures one by one.
  9. The secend one is already available for sse: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/731/?
  10. The main advantages of Skyrim SE are stability and speed and the lack of needing to install fixes for pretty much everything. This goes for the game itself (no need for memory allocation patch ect.) as well as for many visual aspects (for example things like the distance overhaul are not needed any more). In addition it features neat enhancements like rain occlusion (rain doesn't clip trough roofs any more) and a water flow system. -Instead of fixing the game you can now simple focus on the things that you want to change with mods and that makes it incredible fun. In comparison Oldrim was a pain in the ass. Seriously!

In comparison Oldrim was a pain in the ass. Seriously! I don,t use climates of tamriel or any weather overhaul because it makes to many changes to the lighting for my taste and i rather just want the vanilla colors to be improved, therefore i use "Nyclix's ENB" (which is basically just a reshade which makes it verry performance friendly). And i use RLO but only activated the dungeons esp because, again i want to keep the vanilla weathers and lighting. but i'm rambling... Here is a list of wht i use and love: .)SMIM .)Skyrim flora overhaul trees only .)verdant (overhauls the grass) .)simple bigger trees (SFO compatible version) .)Leanwolf's better shaped weapons .)Darker Nights (offers many options -don't go too dark!) .)RLO (only dugeons activated) .)Footprints .)realistic water two .)JK's Whiterun .)JK's Riverwood .)trees in cities (adds a few trees to cities -very subtle) For the textures: .)Vivid landscapes .)peltoploza .)rugnarok .) + all of gamwich's awesome "rustic" retextures .)Ethereal cosmos (i use twinkle subdued) .)ethereal clouds .)Nordic Snow .)Apophysis Dragon Priest Masks SE (these textures are incredibly beautiful imao!) .)JS Dragon Claws SE Another mod that i really love is "Immersive Jewelry" (adds over 3000 (!) new jewelrys which makes it really fun to explore because you will never know what you will find next.) (but note that this mod also makes a few changes to the crafting (you will have different ingots for jewelry or weapon crafting and ingots are a lot more heavy so you cant carry them around all the time.) That's it basically. I tried my best to focus on visual mods only. Please note that most of the mods are available for both Oldrim and Skyrim SE, so make sure that you are really on the Skyrim SE page before downloading! I hope you find it usefull. Have fun modding!
  12. LOL. Yea. Sure!  You must have a bit more to present than just a story and a few items to make people interested to help you with your "gigantic dlc+ size" mod. If you hade already done, let's say, 60% of all your landmass + a half finished questline and then ask for help to finish your mod your chances would be much higher. Do you even have an idea how much work that is? Look at falskaar for example. The guy who made it was working more than a year on it like it was his full time job, and he mainly did it to get a real job in the videogame industry, wich appearently worked out in the end. I'm not telling you that you can't do it, if you have the time it is possible, but you should know that no one is going to make your mod for you!
  13. GIMP! II'm using it for years and did all my textures with it. You can simply drag and drop textures into gimp and work with different layers that way. I always use the eraser to make parts that i don't need transparent and afterwards combine the layers, (always use "combine and cut to the size of the base layer" ((or however that function is named in english or your language))!). then export it as .dds.
  14. I think the whole dawnguard questline as designed to be some kind of gothic love story. You, your character falls in love with serana the moment she falls out of her coffin. From that moment you are no true vampire hunter any more, you just help her and after you realize what you got yourself into you try to save skyrim. If you have to kill vampires while doing that, then that's just what needs to be done. This made all perfect sense to me and i really enjoed this questline.
  15. If you have a stable oldrim game that is almost 70% finished i see no reason for you to move it over to SSE. If i where you i would finish your current playthrough on oldrim and if you want to play skyrim again start a complete new game on SSE. I have no experience with transfering savegames to SSE so maybe somone else can tell you about his/her experience with that, but especially in your case i wouldn't recommend it. Also there are no SKSE or Sky UI for SSE so far. My honest humble opinion is that it isn't worth the work, because i can see no benefit in doing it. But maybe that's just my thought about it.
