  1. This guy has obviously way too much time to waste when you see all the pointless rants he posted here... Seriously... It's spamming at this point.
  2. You have to install FO76 mods manually for the moment. Follow the installation instructions on the mods pages.
  3. You glitched through the vault doors?
  4. The problem with what you're saying is that it's based on assumption and speculation, there is no official statement that 100% prove that private servers will be only rented server from Zenimax. So far we only know one thing and it's that they are still thinking how they will officialy allow modding in the first place. And your point about adult theme/content doesn't stand. I mean, kids shouldn't even play Fallout 76 in the first place as it's +18 game. Then your point about "sensitive vulnerable adults", you could literraly apply it to any online games. And like clif081 said, it's hilarious to said that when you know the game is already full of blood, gore and dismembrement anyway. In my opinion, that would be really bad to only allow rented server because in this case that would mean modders could only develop and test their mods by paying for a private server in the first place... That's beyond stupid at this point. Though, I can see Bethesda introducing "creation club" content via the Atom Shop, that's entirely possible. Honeslty, I really hope Bethesda will choose to do something similar to Conan Exile for private sever (and by extension modding). It works well as far as I know, and speaking of adult theme/content, knows that there is type of mods too and there isn't any problem with it (as far as I know again, maybe I'm wrong). But hey, only time will tell. I believe there absolutly no point debating on what Bethesda will do right or wrong about private server and modding, because there is no way to actually know what they are planning as long as they don't publish any official statement about it. And so far, they didn't block the basic modding we're able to do at the moment. It might change, who knows... But again, no official information about it. And on a personnal note to you Zanity, no offence, but are you like on a crusade or something to scare people about FO76 modding? I mean all your messages are more or less all about "Don't mod Fallout 76, it's dangerous and bad!". I'm not sure what you're try to achieve by doing that. You should let people having fun and mod their game if they want to. There is no harm done as we can only do "aesthetic" modifications on the user side. So why being upset about it?
  5. Hacked? As far as I know, there isn't any "hack" involved when you can just "open" BA2 archives and using Bethesda own tools (archive2) to pack audio files into new archives. The fact that the game is online doesn't change the fact that any modifcation (texture, models, materials, sounds, music and interface) are only on the user end, so that doesn't differs that much from offline modding "rules" on this point. If we had to follow all "stupid" copyright laws, even simple modding wouldn't even be possible anymore... Btw, even if for some reason you end up earing a copyrighted music via an user microphone, how are you gonna prove that it's a replaced file and not just his music player playing in the background?
  6. There is no official statement about (non-supported) modding as far as I know and nobody got banned either (pretty sure we would know by now if it was the case). So, is it safe to mod? I'd say textures/interface modding shouldn't be a problem. But remember that you're doing it at your own risk since we don't know what Bethesda is planning to do (if they decide to something about it that is). Just keep an eye open on Bethesda announcements and news concerning the game in case they decide to something.
  7. Replacing XP sound is possible, but having the game play a random one would require a plugin in order to make that happen. So not possible until official modding support basically.
  8. Well, that's an awful long answer for a simple question... So here's a simple answer that actually respond to your question: Is it hard to do? No, it's actually rather simple as it's only a texture replacement. You can even use Fallout 4 blood/gore texture mods for Fallout 76 as it's the same files located in the same folder. Though you may have to convert them to the DDS compression that FO76 is using. Yeah, that's why the tool authors updated their tools for Fallout 76, so nobody use them to mod Fallout 76, right? If tool authors didn't want anybody to use their tools with Fallout 76, maybe they wouldn't have updated and uploaded them in the first place, don't you think? Source? I didn't see any official statement from Bethesda about that. To be clear, I'm not denying that it might happen. But if they didn't want modding to happen (before it's officially supported that is), maybe they should have though about it before releasing the game? I mean, they could just have prevented the game to load any non-official .BA2 archives and that would have blocked any modding to be done. But they didn't... And it's not like it was a supprise that people would try to mod their game at soon as the game was release, they know how big is the modding community with their games. Your "can of worms" was already openned, at it was even openned during the beta. And for the rest of your post... All the mods (and I'm talking about textures, materials, models and interface editing/replacement) that can be done are only user-side modification, other people won't see any of your modification you're doing unless they use the same mods. And text chat is an entirely different problem. On a side note Bethesda seems to have planned (at some point) to add a text chat, as records has been found on the interface about a potential text chat. I'd like to link you the post with the sceenshot that show that, but I can't find the post on reddit...
  9. It's not moddable without a plugin, as you need to change some records in order to make the helmet removable in-game. So no, there is no simple way to do it unfortunatly.
  10. Download the latest version of Material Editor, it should work.
  11. Hi everyone, I am the creator of Mojave Imports. If you don't know my mod, my goal is to add new items (from previous Fallout games) seamlessly and in a lore-friendly way (if possible) into Fallout 4. For more informations about Mojave Imports, you can read the mod page. I'm currently looking for a 3D artist/modeler who has experience with NifSkope and 3dsmax Nif plugin. At the moment, I need someone to remodel some items (moslty from New Vegas) like Atomic Cocktail, Sunset Sarsaparilla, Steady, Hydra, Hypo and Super Stimpak. There will be probably other items to remodel, but one thing at a time. I need someone who is able to create new 3D models and import them into a fully functionable .nif for Fallout 4. I can work on the diffuse/specular textures and the material file, so you don't need to provide them. But I will need a normal map texture for each models. And of course, you will be credited for your work on the mod page. If you're interested, you can reply to this post or contact me via private message. Thanks in advance.
