  1. I'm trying to find where the game applies extra damage resistance for robots when they still have armor and am coming up utterly short. I recently installed True Damage and SCOURGE and for the most part they are working very very well. The big problem I'm running in to is robots. They are obscenely tough. Even garden variety Protectrons are eating 5mm like they're just so many nerf darts. I've started running around with a .308 battle rifle which takes care of them, but the issue is the others. I am doing the Lost Patrol mission and encountered a Mr. Gutsy and an Assaultron on the road north of the satellite array and I utterly cannot make a dent in that Assaultron. Using GETAV I've discovered it has a DR of 120 and an HP of about 650, which is what I would expect it to have with SCOURGE but every hit I make (even in the head) only takes off a minuscule part of its health bar: I'm talking several hundred rounds of .308 to take it out. This is obviously not correct. I was able to destroy the sentry bot at the national guard base with only a handful of rounds. What I'm seeing is this: the robot itself is about as strong as it should be. The Mr. Gutsy and the sentry bot both went down quickly but only AFTER I broke some of its armor. The assaultron seems to have unbreakable armor. I cannot find anything that is overwriting the base DLC01 templates and I cannot for the life of me find where the settings are for the robot armor addon. Can somebody point me in the right direction here? I'd appreciate it. I'm getting highly frustrated and am very much not looking forward to the Mechanical Menace plotline (that just fired a little while back, I've been avoiding that part of the map so far).
  2. I've been using Immersive Scrapping for years and have had no serious issues with it, but I am getting the feeling it is becoming obsolete as it hasn't been updated in nearly six years. However I'll be damned if I can find anything else that comes close to the scrap recipes added. Does anybody know of one on any platform or am I out of luck?
  3. I decided to try the CC Survival mode this time rather than Frostfall like I normally do and quickly discovered that very few of my food items actually fed me. I pretty quickly discovered it was a mod overwrite (specifically Alchemy in my case) but started wondering if there was a Synthesis patcher for food. I haven't yet found one so I figured I'd come here to ask.
  4. I recently fell in love with the pack guars included in Mihail's Guars and started thinking. I do not ride a horse for RP reasons, but the amount of stuff a horse can carry is denied to my PC unless he buys one. Owning one with a saddle would not make sense, but the pack guars would make an excellent pack animal. Now I've been trying to convert one of them to a horse (just standing around waiting to get claimed) but it crashes as soon as I hit load, so I'm obviously doing something wrong. I do not have the expertise to figure out exactly what, though. I'm hoping I can get somebody else interested.
  5. I'm having the same thing happen. The funny thing was it was all of a sudden. I started getting back into Skyrim SE modding, I installed my 200-ish mods, then the next time I opened Vortex it utterly stopped responding. It will close, but that's it. It's highly annoying and I have no idea why it's having problems all of a sudden. Just a while ago I let it just sit to see if it would ever come to life. It didn't. Eventually it apparently closed on its own without me noticing. EDIT: just to clarify, I've used Vortex for years and have been running it just fine for Fallout 4 and X4 for some months now. It's not until just today that I've seen any problems. Wrye Bash shows no problems with my load order, so I have a hard time believing it's some kind of corrupted mod install.
  6. I posted this on the Steam forums too, so hopefully I'll get a quick reply. I'm playing a Live Another Life character where I started out in Raven Rock's dungeon, so I am not particularly welcome after having escaped from it (RPing, btw; I fully realize it's stupidly easy to get past the guards to the boat). I am trying to find an alternative way to get from Solstheim preferably to Windhelm (where my Argonian character will get trapped on the docks and have to escape from THERE). I already found three, Warbird's Dwemer Train Stations, The Hand of Azura/The Ilnari, and LVX Magick's Boats, but for one reason or another I don't care to use them. Does anybody know of any others? I'm trying to avoid the whole walking under the sea of ghosts thing that Train Stations and Underground Dungeons does. What I really want is something like the Red Wave from Fallout 4, but sadly that seems to never have really been done for Skyrim (unless you like using behemoth ocean liners, but I don't).
  7. It's been done with Home Plate, so I know it's possible, but I don't really have the creation kit- fu required to do so myself.
  8. I appreciate the Weaver handgun stance (being a firearms enthusiast in real life) but I much prefer the single-handed animations that are used when you are in power armor. Is it at all possible to use those all the time?
  9. I'm going crazy trying to find a specific mod I remember downloading several years ago. Basically, it was a bunch of standalone retextured bomber jackets that were placed in certain locations around the map. For example, there was a Vault-Tec jacket you could pick up in Vault 111. I can't for the life of me remember what the mod was called and I have utterly failed trying to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. I recently discovered settlement blueprints and I love them a lot. I honestly am not sure how I ever played without them. However, I'm running into an interesting problem: most of the fully developed settlement blueprints have large mod requirements. I don't particularly want to download many many mods that I will never use for only a single blueprint (and yes I realize I can generally get away without downloading all mods, but I don't particularly want to weed through what I need and don't need to download). Basically, is there a list anywhere of vanilla or near vanilla (say 5 mods or less) blueprints for the various settlements? I'm hoping to find blueprints for all or most all settlements. I'm also avoiding the gigantic utilitarian block house settlement. I want settlements that look real. Any help would be appreciated.
  11. Based on what I've been seeing it DOES seem to be some mod related issue. However, it doesn't seem to be as simple as just getting rid of mods as the bug seems to be baked into the game at this point. I ended up doing a complete restart of my game and the issue did not return (at least on the first run which, granted, I ran straight to Concord after leaving the vault).
  12. you already know where to start your search Congratulations, you are no help whatsoever. I'm having exactly the same problem. I am 100% sure it's related to some mod I just recently downloaded. I'll report back to this thread if I figure out what mod(s) are causing this problem.
  13. I feel dumb. I have looked at this page SO MANY TIMES and NEVER saw the manage tracked files button.
  14. Also, scripts don't seem to work until you open Vault 111s door. It's a bit odd. The only reason I've noticed is that when using the pipboy flashlight if you turn the light on BEFORE opening the door the game uses the 360 degree lamp. However, it changes to the directional flashlight beam DURING the opening of the door.
