  1. Hello, I wanted to edit this mod, Real Weapon Names Update Updated I felt some of the names picked were odd after researching MGSV's gun trivia, so I wanted to try and fix it from my perspective of what fit better. I have finished replacing the names and am currently experiencing issues trying to install this mod and in creating a new mgsv file for the new mod file. Every time I have tried I get these pop-ups: SnakeBite Error MakeBite Error I am not sure what I need to do to fix this issue as I have not come across anything online, if it will I have linked the unedited fpk file as a text document and my edited version at the bottom of this post, in case the error lies in the format of what I may have changed unknowingly. If anyone can offer any advice I would appreciate it so I can avoid and handle (possibly simple) issues like this on my own. Thanks in advance. Unedited fpk mod text Editied fpk mod text EDIT/UPDATE: So I found out I was a dumbass and doing this completely wrong, I have now installed and properly used the modding tools necessary (FPK and Lang Tool) to edit this mod. However, I have run into a new issue. Whenever I attempt to recompile the XML file into the lng2 file by dropping the XML on the Lang Tool, it doesn't seem to compile anything into the lng2 file as the size remains at 0, windows explorer does however state/update the time and date the lng2 file has been modified/recompiled. When I first realized there was something wrong was when I had installed the mod via Snakebite after building it in Makebite, when I booted up Phantom Pain I noticed all the weapon text was missing. If anyone knows what I may be missing or doing incorrectly please offer whatever advice you are able to.
  2. Sorry I know this is quite an old thread, but I was just wanted to clarify something about this post. When you say "Run it with one or no mods installed first." by Install do you mean Applied? Or do you mean that you literally have to install every mod one at a time and then run the game?
