  1. My download speed is currently being capped on Vortex at 2 MB/s which is ridiculous considering I have a lifetime premium membership. There should be NO CAP at all. It's taking ages to download the mods I want to use right now. Attached is a screen cap proving that my premium membership is fact. I am annoyed. Very annoyed. My internet is not slow either. I have half a gig internet speed, 500 MB/s download rate. And my PC is connected VIA Ethernet chord, not WiFi. I'm being throttled and would like to not be. I'm aware that 2 MB/s is where most free users are stuck getting download speeds, as incentive to get premium or at the very least remove ads. I am NOT a free member. I have every right to be upset by this. Please fix this issue. Thank you very much. Wasn't sure where a topic like this fell into, so this section seems safest to bring this up. Well, anyhow, have any other premium members out there been running into this problem? Or had this issue in the past? And how did the issue get resolved? Apologies if I seem like a jerk here, but when you haven't eaten for 4 days straight. You get a little grumpy.
  2. Drowning Anxiety Can someone make a mod that lets you live for a small while even after running out of Oxygen? Maybe about 30 seconds or so (configurable) with a small track that begins to build suspense as the players left over lung oxygen runs out? In real life, even after you run out of oxygen in your O2 tanks, you can still last a little while longer. Holding your breath from the last bit of oxygen you breathed from the tank. Usually most people can last a solid minute or two before they drown, but more vigorous activity uses up more oxygen from the blood to the muscles. I got the idea from the scene in "Kingsman: Secret Service." SPOILER OF THE SCENE INCOMING! In the scene they are about to go to sleep when the room begins to fill up with water. Eventually the whole room fills up and there is no escape. As they remain underwater, the music builds up this tension like they're running out of breath and their lungs are burning more and more, begging for release. It is a very anxiety inducing scene and felt that it was a wasted piece of terror striking fear in Subnautica. Had it been incorporated, perhaps it could have been more infamous than the sonic games drowning theme. (You KNOW the one, don't kid yourself XD) The link below is the scene that this thought came from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeIFxC9wjdk&ab_channel=FastMovieTV
  3. Don't have anything nice to say? Don't say nothin' at all.
  4. In response to post #72204323. Well put HadToRegister. I've only very recently began modding Fallout 4 (and boy oh boy what a journey it is), but I eventually got everything working. Being someone who jumped into modding flat with Vortex, I can say Vortex really isn't all that bad. I've had infinitely less crashes and CTD's using Vortex on PC than I've had using Beth-net's manager and trying to sort mods myself on the Xbox Console. (That's just console though, its atrocious to mod on.) I've been playing Fallout 4 on PC for neigh on 5 months now and only had 5 CTD's in all that time. I think the DEV's earned my approval of this manager. I am looking forward to seeing what else they add in the future. Congratz on Version 1.0 folks! I'd bake a cake, but I don't have eggs... or any of the other ingredients for that matter...
  5. If anyone else played the game Prey back in 2006 (the actually good original one), then you'll remember the Leech Gun. I loved that weapon and remember the first time I played Prey. That weapon was just so awesome. Then you get the Sun Beam ammo for it and my god, that noise! If there are any mod authors or creators out there that can possible make the Leech Gun a weapon mod for Fallout 4 I will love you forever! And as for the sound of the weapon, here's a link to it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_7d8L4mZAg&list=PLa_Ip8F-zVSk-Dp8RaFrVfEG9q1Vcj6WZ&index=46&t=0s The weapon in Prey would find these "nodes" sticking out of walls and you'd have to "Leech" the power the nodes produced to change the element of the gun. Obviously Fallout 4 can't do that, luckily, we can craft our weapons to utilize whatever we may have on hand. The most common element that was available for the weapon was "Plasma." Only in Prey (2006) it was red in color and not green. Then there was Frost, which is pretty self explanatory, then you could leech Lightning, which fired off giant bolts of devastating electricity. And then at god tier, you had the Sun Beam ammunition for the weapon (as shown in the video linked above) which was so powerful, it would push your character back, and literally SCREAM when fired. So if we had rehashed ammunition casings using the Fusion Core ammo, we could make it reload like a laser mini-gun, utilizing its own unique type of ammunition that can only be fired from the Leech Gun. And since technically Bethesda has already added many Doom and Prey references in their Creation Club, this could easily be explained in a lore friendly way (unlike Bethesda does). It'd be a beast of a weapon, so of course it should be VERY heavy. Like 50-100 lbs or something (depending on upgrades used). And it should NOT do damage like the pea shooter that is vanilla .50 caliber hunting rifles. I'm thinking the weapon should not be craft-able, only acquired through a quest when you reach a certain level. Maybe have a broadcast start coming through on the Pip-Boy/Pad that comes from a secret underground bunker with a lore friendly way of explaining why the weapon is there. The ammo should be craft-able too. If you wanted to go deep into the creative aspects you could create new resources in the world that could be found/bought from vendors. Component pieces, such as "Lightning in a bottle" or "Trapped Solar Radiation". The other two elements would be very easy since you could just utilize Plasma Cartridges and Cryo Cells to make the other two ammunition types. And all of them should at least need to use Nuclear Material, since the ammo shouldn't be easy to make as the weapon should do MASSIVE damage with the Lightning and Sun Beam firing mechanisms. Of course we should also be given a hotkey (using MCM) or a "consumable" item in the inventory (much like what was done with the MK 41 Gyrojet HMG mod) which would allow you to switch the weapons ammo on the fly. I was also thinking about making 5 types of different upgrade slots. The "Internal Mechanisms" which upgrades the weapon internals to increase range, projectile speed, and DPS rate (for beam type elements, like Sun Beam and Frost). The "Focus Crystal" which is the weapons internal firing mechanism for the elements to improve their accuracy and penetration power (ignore resistances basically). The "Efficiency Module" which will slow down the weapons core drain rates without sacrificing fire rate. The "Ventilation Systems" which will help with weapon recoil by increasing energy venting efficiency. And lastly, "Output Rail Accelerator" to give the weapon a flat increase in damage and power! If I sound dumb its because when it comes to mods and what is ACTUALLY possible in Fallout 4's creation engine, I'm completely ignorant. I don't know anything about modding, nor how much work it actually is to code anything. I have a gist as to how much work it is to actually make something like I'm suggesting. But you've all done the impossible before, figured I'd ask and hope for the best. Best case scenario, someone takes this on and makes it wonderful and goes above and beyond making more features I hadn't even though about. Worst case scenario, no one does anything and I keep dreaming, basically... they say "no thanks". Regardless, I'd like to say thanks to: TheRizzler1, asXas, Niero, Deadpool2099, The Shiny Haxorus, fadingsignal, Gambit77, ToastyFresh, WarDaddy, Ha_ru, PickleJar, DNXyken, unforbidable, MPankey, jim (LOL), ANiceOakTree, Zazuban, nater, Ben Ephla, herpderp2323 aka derp (what?), MaxG3D, Cryax, ChaosWWW, Scrivener07, SparrowPrince, snarkhunter, Kassent, Cirosan & shadwar, Zzyxzz, GameDev1995, 3nikhey, Skywarrior1, ShanicTheOatmeme, colebylamoreau, FX0x01, DanMak, Navaro, Net, registrator2000, Hitman47101, H1v3m1nd, AronaxAE & FancyPants (Okay...), Zana Daniel, ClearanceClarance, mm137, Wanaming0, guicool, Vicyorus, Pie_Savvy, AGodComplexPikachu, CurioNC, EmissaryOFWind, JTesmer, Kirse10 imAarwyn, Rubberfox, RoboAsimov, TrophiHunter, Wendara, Krisser143, WunderWafflen, Expired6978, MrPMG, Koozebane, LString - John Lai (AKA legend), neeher (also a legend), DMagnus, Mad6od, ajhakra, The6thMessenger, Nova, reg2k, Neanka, shadowslasher410, NewerMind43, Deathlock47, stefanmb, Matakor, holycowmuncher (the f**k?), Meatbag101, ricky horror, CVedant95, Fallkross, Denseleagion, Brandoman Neeher & cdante, Myst, Bretton, TheLich, Flipdeezy, doctrderp, Azar, Gulch, Draco856, Skully, Spiffyskytrooper, KJ666 (oh no), F34R, Zachtan1234, tangrichard, Zawinul, henkspamadres, Sharlikran, Trainwiz, cadpnq, Darkman32197, Borjoyzee, ModClub, TinyManticore, Oh Deer, LogRaam aka Gabriel Mailhot, L0rd0fWar, Unofficial Patch Project Team, Itzal713, Zorak912, Hein84, Vtaw, aerisarn, TheScout201, SheepTalk, Wyn Xombii, Koozebane, and tooun. Yes, that is everybody from my mod list that showed up under the author ribbon. Took me 40 minutes to go over all the names and make sure I didn't repeat. So don't go saying I don't appreciate all these people have done. They take time out of their day to improve upon something that Bethesda refused to improve upon themselves, and for the most part, most if not all of them aren't even paid to do it. The least I can do is list off all their tags in appreciation for the hard work they put into everything. Y'all rock! Keep being awesome Nexus community! WOO!
  6. Pretty much what the title says. I never knew how difficult it would be to find a mod that adds new craftable Power generators to the power list. Apparently, it's very tough. I haven't found a thing. And the ones I saw videos on and had links too, are set to Hidden by the mod authors and thrown in merged packs (which I DO NOT want). Or They're deleted from Nexus. One such example is "Alternate Power Sources" https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32855?tab=images as can be seen here in the link. I've seen YouTubers walking around in their settlements with things like Nuclear Reactors that are about 2 stories tall in their settlements. I really want to find out what THAT mod is. But I have no idea. It was a mod showcase for weapon mods, so there was no way to know what that mod was. The YouTuber whom I was watching is "AverageBaters." And I've been trying to get into the minutemen playthrough, but its really hard to power up all the things I want to within my settlements. Granted I just downloaded a mod that triples the vanilla generators power outputs, but still, that's only about 30 power for one large genny. I would love to get more variety in my power options.
