  1. I'd love to see more head presets for Half-Orcs, absolutely! And the other races that tend not to get a lot of love. It seems that at the moment, most character creation mods are almost exclusively for humans, elves, and tieflings-- and even then they tend to be for body type one only.
  2. Heya folks! So, after doing a quick search I didn't find anything here about installing mods on various Linux distros, so I thought I'd make a post providing some information just in case anyone else comes to these forums looking for some answers. Now, I'm confident anyone already playing on Linux knows about ProtonDB and how to consult it. At this point, running and playing the game should be pretty simple. Modding proved a little more challenging at first. I attempted a few different methods, each with varying levels of success. I thought I had succeeded when I was able to get Vortex to install and run via a Bottles prefix, but for some reason every time I tried to install mods, the application would delete all my .pak files-- I don't know why, didn't bother attempting to figure it out. Frustrated, I decided to try and get BG3MM working one last time before just giving up and playing without mods. Thankfully, another Linux user already has us covered! To get BG3MM working, I followed the instructions located here: https://github.com/Kuuchuu/BG3ModManager-LinuxLauncher And it works! Very well actually, all things considered. The UI can flicker a little bit, but everything else functions (aside from installation and detection of BG3SE). That's alright though, as BG3SE can be installed manually, and despite the warning in BG3MM (shown in screenshot 1), BG3SE mods will function properly so long as you remember to follow its instructions for Proton and Linux. Additionally, if you are on a laptop with a dedicated GPU like I am, you'll want to put your "prime-run" parameter after BG3SE's (shown in screenshot 2). Importantly, you will need to change where BG3MM is looking for specific folders and files. Screenshot 3 shows how I have my paths set up. And that's that! Have fun with all the mods! Addendum: Native Mod Loader mods work out of the box without need of BG3MM or anything else, so if you're installing those mods just follow their instructions.
  3. Heya folks! I have an itty-bitty mod request I hope someone could help with. I'd like to see either the Urchin background have its Slight of Hand skill proficiency changed to Perception, or have Ranger's Urban Tracking Slight of Hand skill proficiency changed to Perception. Basically, I think an Urchin background Ranger with Urban Tracking makes perfect sense -- that background and skill go so well together thematically -- but currently, both provide Slight of Hand. That means there's no reason to take both, and doing so right now is just a waste. That's it! Thank you kindly!
  4. Curious question with no ulterior motive, I swear. Well, perhaps that's not entirely true. I'm actually over here trying to decide where I want to move my screenshot sharing to. Way, way back in the day I used to use photobucket (as did we all) before I moved tumblr and then imgur. But, both of those are really more a social media thing now (or in the case of tumblr, always were). What happened to the simple, high-quality image hosting without all the social stuff attached to it? Ah, well. So, where do you host your screenshots, and do you have any recommendations? =3
  5. Gradual ghoulification gives me feels.
  6. Long title speaks long truth. I've noticed what I think is a bug in Robert's Males v5.2 and I'm not really sure what to do about it. It's very much beyond my abilities to fix, and I don't believe Robert updates anymore (for bug fixes or otherwise). However, I'd also like to note that the comments section of the mod in question proved barren of any references to the issue I am facing. Either I've come across a unique problem, or the issue is so miniscule no one else has actually noticed it. Here is the problem: a single pair of shoes (Huntsman Moccasins) appears to have an incorrect or corrupt mesh of some sort. I'm no expert by any means, so I'm hoping someone could confirm (and perhaps fix?) the issue. Default Bodies Robert's 5.2, Average So, what do you think?
  7. Surely I can't be the only one a little saddened by the fact that female body textures are numerous, but there's not a single complete male body texture that is seamless and of the same quality. So, that is my request. Or rather, I suppose at this point it's more of a plea to anyone with the talent. I would love to see a detailed male texture that is both face and body, that ideally works with the Sundracon meshes from the Better Males mod. And while sure, the Better Males mod comes with textures, those textures aren't seamless, thus causing quite a few visual issues compared to things like UNP and the textures associated with it. I would also ask for Khajiit and Argonian textures as well, but there is already amazing work going on for a beast race mod. And really, that's that. Pretty please?
  8. New claws look amazing, and I'm excited to see Khajiit when you get to them. Question though: I saw it mentioned that you're using the vanilla skeleton as a base for this. How is that going to affect things like XPMS or mods that depend on it such as Dual Sheath Redux or Realistic Ragdolls and Force? Conflicts with Better Males isn't much of a worry, since Better Males doesn't do much for the beast races outside of feet and genitila I believe, so that's easily replaceable for these amazing feet/hands. Of course, the chances of people taking compatibility into their own hands after the mods release is probably fairly high. I apologise if this was asked before, as well.
  9. Can I say I love the poster above me? I came in here, read the first couple of pages, and then decided I would skip to the last to essentially post what he just did. The thing I want to see most in this game (and future TES games as well) are proper Khajiit. I would love to be able to choose between [appropriate] Khajiit types to play as. Proper Suthay-raht would be at the top of the list, followed by Ohmes-raht, and Cathay-rhat. To be fully honest, I thought the Khajiit in Skyrim (and Oblivion) were meant to be Ohmes-rhat at first due to their legs and feet, but no, Bethesda just doesn't want to model proper legs for them. *Sighs* So, if you guys want to create more Anthro races, be my guest. Khajiit and Argonians are enough for me seeing as how cats and lizards are my two favourite types of animals (and Anthros) in that order, but please, for the love of Alkosh, create some proper Khajiit while you're at it. I would love to play as a Cathay-rhat.<3 (But I'll take a proper Suthay-rhat over nothing :3).
  10. On most chairs/stools/benches in-game, Khajiit (and I assume Argonian as well) tails clip through them. And it's not a subtle clipping either, such as the tail going through the back of the chair. It's quite worse in the fact that the tail goes through the seat of the chair and then through the floor. So far I have only found one chair in game where this doesn't occur, and it drives me batty every time I take a seat or see another Khajiit do so, and their tail just points straight down like a stiff board and clips through everything. I don't suppose anyone out there has the ability to fix this? It makes me cringe for my poor Khajiit every time I sit him in a chair.
  11. Don't suppose anyone still has the plain glass potions? I'm a little irked that I had these installed not an hour ago, overwrote them with another mod (which does mass clutter) with the intention of redownloading and installing SLOD's again, only to find them removed. Sigh.
  12. So I've started playing Awakening for the first time, and was all excited to try out the new Specializations. To my horror, however, there isn't currently a mod which removes the ugly ability and spell effects from the Awakening abilities. Now, according to the Bioware forums modders don't have access to the source scripts or what have you for Awakening which would make such a mod possible. However other people have also said that there is a way around this to edit a VFX change in through a GDA edit or extension or something. Now I've love to be the person who could decipher the instructions on this thread about how to go about it, but being an absolute idiot I'm having some trouble deciphering what has said. Truthfully, the limits of my modding abilities include manual installation of mods and making faces in the toolset. Well, I can compile a chargenmorph file too. Heh. Mucking around in GDAs and ERFs however seems to be beyond what I can do. Is anyone interested in doing it? (And ideally making sure it works with Combat Tweaks. :3) Edit: Just wanted to add that while I'd love something like this for all the new effects with the Awakening talents and spells, I'm specifically only after one, that being Beyond the Veil for the Spirit Warrior Specialization. I like the purple tendrils that the effect has, but it's the blue glow that drives me insane. However I doubt he glow itself could be removed while still retaining the tendrils. Oh well.
  13. I was highly dissapointed by the bard specialization on my first playthrough. I had taken it expecting something it wasn't. Now I understand that DA:O does not run based on a D&D ruleset and that lore dictates all use of magic must be restriced. That said I was wondering if it were possible to create a mod which expands the skills of the bard specialization? I have seen a quite a few like this for shapeshifter which is understandable, seeing as how it's quite underpowered. Back to the point though I feel bards should have access to some limited spells making them more like D&D bards. I've been playing bards for a very long time and would definately like to see something like this come around. If no one has an interest I may try it my self... but that could be disasterious. I was thinking bards could be able to learn certain spells like: Grease Stinging Swarm Disorient Haste or Telekenitic Weapons I know there is a mod out there that adds haste to the bard songs, but I'd actually prefer it seperate as the spell itself if it can be seperated as such. Pretty much spells and abilities that resemble the classic bards.
  14. I suppose this is somewhat on topic. If a mod like this is created I wonder if the opposit could? As in, a mod which removes the + or - which shows after a conversation choice as well as the bar in the character panel? That would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to know my companions' influence of my character. I want to be kept guessing. After all, I can't just open a book to see if my friends like me or not. XD
  15. My favourite has to be the human noble. Of all the origins it's the only one which really drew me into the story. All my character wanted as vengeance even to the point of being bitter and forcing conscription before her father's eyes. I admit, I bawled my eyes out at the end of that origin. It was so sad.
