  1. Hello everyone, Back when I played the original Mass Effect trilogy I fell in love with the FemShep's Closet mod for Mass Effect 3 https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/427 The one I'm particularly interested in is the Puffy Vest one, seeing as I tended to use that one for my main Shepard. So I was wondering if anyone would be able to convert this mod to the Legendary Edition Thank you all in advance
  2. So I took a few steps back, rewatched the tutorial and redid a few things turns out I'd forgotten an entry in the .mmh file heh...go figure However...it's working now, it's actually working! both in the Toolset and in the game itself :D https://i.imgur.com/8y9gDfQ.png you can still see some gaps between the hair and the scalp though, so I'll likely need to work a bit on resizing it some more and...for the final piece https://i.imgur.com/8cgdzrI.jpg In-game screenshot...no longer floating and even bends beautifully with his head
  3. I like it too, but I'd rather have it working correctly  I'm currently redoing some steps to see if maybe I missed something, we'll see how that goes
  4. So another few days later and I've managed to get my hair to export and everything else I've even managed to get it into my game, yay me! However, I seem to have made a mistake...well, somewhere because atm. it looks like this > I've no idea what or where I did something wrong though
  5. Alright look...I could really use some help from someone here, anyone I've come to the last step after doing everything following an old tutorial I found on YouTube (Rachel Bood's tutorial in fact) and everything has gone well so far...I've been able to figure out how to copy weight paints, how to sort the faces however now that I've finally reached the part where I need to export/replace my hairstyle...I keep getting something weird and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong Whenever I put in replace I end up with a split second of this The actual hairstyle is never imported, but it does import the smaller version that doesn't fit the head. I really can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, so if anyone can tell me...please do :pinch: Edit: So I've tried several times today to import the hair and I found out something strange, when I import/replace the hair with an attached skull cap it sits properly (however it gives a double skull cap), and when I do it without I get the result as seen above I've also taken a screenshot of the console message that displays when I import/replace the hair...maybe this'll be useful to someone, I don't know
  6. Hi...yes, me again...also, talking to myself apparently...no matter So the other day I got the bone weight copying done, but I'm a bit stuck on the next phase...ordering faces https://i.imgur.com/OgoRg0p.png I'm a bit confused as to where to start when one orders the faces on this type of hairstyle
  7. I wanted to post a little update, I've been following some tutorials and I'm currently at the bone weight copying stage
  8. First things first...I'm a complete noob when it comes to modding, however when I see all those amazing mods here on the Nexus and elsewhere I get the urge to try it myself. Now, I've already made some minor things, made a few small mods and several head morphs. However, I wanted to try my hand at something new, and thought to myself...let's try our hand at some conversions. So for the past couple of days, I've tried my hands at converting a Sims 4 hair to be used in Origins (Also I'm absolutely clueless as to if I'm allowed to upload such a thing if and when I have it finished, so for now I'm just making it for personal use only.) The hairstyle I'm trying to convert/port is this one from the Sims 4 Realm of Magic pack https://i.imgur.com/hxOrmPf.png the program I used exports the hairstyle like this > https://i.imgur.com/neZMHb1.png, which includes the bald cap (I've seen that the bald cap isn't include on custom hairs, but I'd really love to use this one) after a few days of trial and error I ended up with this https://i.imgur.com/rfox611.png and as you can see, the bald cap of the hairstyle clips horribly with the rest of the model (the orange outline is the bald cap from Origins) so the other night I thought, let's carefully delete the flat areas of the hairstyle (which I assume to be the bald cap) but that...had some mixed results https://i.imgur.com/wJOo1S9.png the hairstyle no longer fits nicely to the head, and it also leaves rather big gaps between the hair and the bald cap :pinch: now, as I said in the first paragraph, I'm a complete noob when it comes to this type of modding, and I can't for the life of me figure out a solution to 1) make the hairstyle fit the head and 2) make it so I don't have too much overlap between the hair and bald cap As to why it's on a qunari male...that's because I want to make a fancy hairstyle for Sten that's similar in tone to that of his comic appearance if anyone can give me some tips, or perhaps point me to a nice simple tutorial (or even someone willing to maybe help me out a bit) that'd be wonderful
