I was experiencing this issue as well. Tried Opera, Internet Exporer, Firefox. Tried my laptop and desktop. Tried random nexus sites from the http://www.nexusmods.com/games/? I was continuously redirected to. Finally found this topic, tried the method jlowe424 posted and successfully downloaded a file! Using that as a hunch, I changed my Favorite download location from USA - Dallas Premium to CDN (Content Delivery Network) and now I can download mods normally.
