  1. How to replicate this 'bug' Download 2 Collections which share mods and install them both on 1 profile (skip the overlapping mods for the 2nd Collection install, select Ignore or not in the collections page...won't matter) Uninstall the 2nd Collection you just installed (the one where you didn't install overlapping mods) and delete the archives when prompted. Result: mods from Collection 1 will be deleted when Collection 2 is deleted if that mod is listed on both Collections. Basically, Vortex isn't differentiating pre-existing mods from mods in Collections so when you say to Vortex "Hey, I want you to delete that Collection" Vortex will say "Alright, I'm going to delete everything that Collection is listed as having!" when it should say "Alright I'm going to delete everything that this Collection downloaded and installed!".
  2. Not sure exactly what happened here but my Skyrim SE install is bricked, even after uninstalling anything that wasn't a texture/mesh mod, including all mods I had downloaded + installed since the last known functioning install of Skyrim SE. Still in the process of trying to fix this disaster...but Vortex may need some debugging on the developer side of things...if it's derping up this badly...not sure it's a pebkac on my end. This is the 1st time I've ever had Vortex screw the pooch this badly - and the result was pretty much the worst thing that could have happened outside of hardware failure. I also get a lot of failed to parse warnings and constant prompts to give Vortex admin privilege/plugins which are not being uninstalled properly (they'll show as disabled, not uninstalled) with outright orphaned animation files that Nemesis reads. The parsing error I suspect comes from Vortex trying to do everything at once instead of queuing commands to uninstall mods. If you need any logs or whatever, I'm happy to provide them. EDIT: after uninstalling basically all my mods, my install is still bricked. I will have to fresh install, reinstall all my mods and pray that the Nexus Collections I am subscribed to will still work even though I didn't renew my premium this last month or 3. If a mod reads this please PM me to discuss this further.
  3. Tried Vortex and I HATE it (it's too automated, causes me nothing but grief and wastes time with troubleshooting weird stuff instead of just installing my mods the way I want and letting me handle the rest). No biggie though, there's other options... Problem I'm having is that the site now prompts me to download through Vortex now or manually. I can't select NMM like I used to be able to. Tried deleting API keys but that doesn't do anything to stop the site itself from sending Vortex download requests and showing me options for downloading to other mod managers like it used to before I installed Vortex. Need some help on how to de-couple the website from Vortex so it shows other mod managers as download options.
  4. I'm also running into a problem. Not sure if it's NMM community edition or if it's Dyndolod 3.0...but if I uninstall, redo Dyndolod and then install that new file; CTD upon exiting the Alternate Life starting area. This is the 2nd time I've had this issue happen and frankly; not impressed. The only fix I've found is literally doing a fresh install.
  5. Works perfectly fine for me, weapons trigger all the effects with no issues. Currently trying to fool DM into thinking unarmed attacks from Vampires are either weapons of some kind of to fool it into thinking Vampires are transofrmed werewolves (same effect).
  6. I was going on a little bit of a download spree for Skyrim LE, got to around 3/4 of the 400 mods I needed to download when I was spammed with that fun API limit, which I get, if you didn't have that, you could end up with some major issues. My problem is that all the queue'd downloads have now error'd out, meaning I'm going to have to go and spam APIs again after figuring out what mods haven't downloaded which is near impossible. Guys, I know money is probably tight for Nexus but you've got to step up your game. This creates more load on your servers than it would have had if your systems worked properly. How can you expect me to pay for a service when your limitations to prevent your servers from getting overloaded are so ham fisted that downloading 300 mods triggers it and then instead of having downloads paused, the server does something as stupid as just cuts off the connection period? You really, really, really need to get it together when it comes to the fundamentals like this.
  7. The issue is your servers and this happens every time there's any large amount of users downloading stuff. It could be a routing issue but it's unlikely since a lot of people are having the problem of slow or failed downloads, regardless if they're Premium or not.
  8. This is why I will never buy premium again. In Canada, we have something called an implied warranty and by not providing something remotely close to that advertised downloading speed they are not selling a good or service which is fit for it's intended purpose they're in breach of contract. Serious terms for a small issue...but this issue has been going on for years and Nexus staff always push back when they full well know the issue is that when they get busy, people get stuff like 500kb download speeds if they're lucky. Maybe they need to hire someone who's well versed in statistical analysis to sift through their network traffic and figure out what exactly the issue is, if the Nexus staff aren't already aware of it. I know that servers cost $ to run...but when that's your primary function; a file hosting site for mods...and you mess it up...that's pretty bad. I hate to be that "You had one job to do" guy but that rings pretty true here. Anytime there's any influx of users, the site dies in a tire fire. That's a sign you need more or better servers.
  9. As a premium user downloading from premium servers, I also have this issue. I have 2 downloads going manually, 1 at 400 kb/s and the other at 37 kb/s. Please tell me this is going to be fixed asap, I understand if free servers are constantly under extreme load but the premium ones shouldn't be. Not to this extent anyway.
  10. oh FFS, Partial Downloads are being deleted because IT'S A PROBLEM WITH THE NEXUS for the Nth time you've been told by everybody in this thread. Stop trying to download an overly large mod while the Nexus Servers are having a problem, and wait until they get fixed. Simple as that. How is that a problem with nexus? That's a problem with Vortex...Vortex is DELETING partial downloads without authorization. A website cannot delete files from an app without permissions which have not been granted. A failed download would be a potential fault of the website. A failed download which no longer shows up in Vortex is Vortex's fault. You lack basic understanding of the issue here mate despite my repeated clarifications. Also, I paid for a service, by law the merchant has to provide me a reasonably working service. It is not my problem that Nexus has heavy load or whatever is going on, I don't have to be understanding, I'm a paying customer and as such, I expect what I pay for to work - within reason. Because download links on the Nexus are TEMPORARY, so when the Nexus times out, the link gets removed. NOTHING TO DO WITH VORTEX for the 6th time. Also, sometimes Services you pay for HAVE PROBLEMS, it's to be expected in anything. From your local Grocery store having their ATM machines down so you have to use cash, to your car tire going flat. You're trying to create an issue here out of frustration, that EVERYBODY is Currently Experiencing, but only YOU are raging about. So when a file half downloads, what you're saying is that it's not actually downloaded? Are you high? Do you have any understanding of how programs work, permissions involved, etc? No. That's not how it works. The file gets saved in temporary files then finalized after the file has been verified. What's happening is Vortex is "losing" the file in it's UI. As in it's being removed arbitrarily. When there's a download error, the UI tells you and you have the option to resume the download....arrrrg. Oh it is expected to a degree, but again, I am a paying customer. And as such, I have rights. Don't be an apologist. I have every right to complain about 2 separate issues going on at the same time that may or may not be interconnected. Welcome to the wonderful world of providing a service and not following through adequately; you get unhappy customers who know their rights. You need to stop. Now. I'm not "raging". But you are getting me to that point. So instead of pretending you know what you're talking about, go play some tetris. Don't confuse shortness for anything but, that's dumb and I'll have no part of that nonsense.

  12. I I'm not missing any point. The program provided doesn't download mods properly, crashes and then, without permission, deletes the entry that is downloading instead of pausing the entry and resuming when either told to manually or automatically. The site hitting capacity isn't my problem (if it actually is hitting capacity, the speed of download is fine, it's just the mod managers downloading which is screwing up, resulting is a gigantic mess that can result in overages), I paid for a service and in my country, that requires the service to function to a reasonable degree via laws regarding implied warranty. It did not function to a reasonable degree and the workaround is going to cost me 12+ hours in time along with counting towards my data cap. Again, this isn't related to the mod managers screwing up an install process. They're free programs and that functionality isn't related to the site whatsoever so I'm on my own if things break in that regard. But the downloading of mods being screwed up massively is related to the downloading of mods from Nexus by their programs. It's not unreasonable to expect the programs to download files from a premium service properly. That is bare bones functionality. Luckily, this won;t result in overages for me. But if it did, according to the laws in my country, Nexus would be liable for those changes as those charges would be a direct result in something on their end from a premium service not working properly. I chose my words very carefully, perhaps you need to reread what I stated since I mentioned this is basic functionality in regard to downloading mods and how Vortex is DELETING my paused downloads when the program inevitably crashes or freezes, cheating orphaned files and making it near impossible to track which mods in my history that I've downloaded. Doesn't matter if everyone is having this issue, I paid for a service, I expect it to work. If that can't be reasonably assured, the reason is irrelevant, that's the merchant's problem, not the customer's problem.
  13. If the servers are having issues, then premium users need it fixed asap, for us it's a paid service which is why the other guy is probably unhappy and why I'm also unhappy. Issues with Vortex or NMM are to be expected, they're free programs but connectivity to the servers is a Nexus responsibility that no ToS or EULA can waive if someone has paid $ for said access, at least in my country, that's how it works. It could be different for others.

  15. Drag+drop takes FOREVER and still results in freezes. You have to drag+drop 2-3 mods at any given time just in case that crap mod manager decides to screw up and I'm talking about having to re-download and drag+drop hundreds of mods...hundreds. Again, this isn't a complaint about a mod manager messing up installs. This is something as basic as downloading mods screwing up. That's pretty bare bones...and while this comes across as critical, it's supposed to. I can name hundreds of other programs which don't screw up something as basic as downloading a file. If NMM/Vortex were paid products, I'd be pissed because they're sub-par programs that have trouble doing what cheap, open source torrent clients can do without issue; download a freaking file without crashing and if it does crash, it doesn't bloody remove the entry from your downloading files... Note that this never happened before that "new" update to the site that started spamming everyone with those garbo popups asking for donations and to pick a slow or fast download nor does having premium fix this issue. The download speeds themselves are fine.
