  1. Maybe I should rephrase my question a bit, does anyone know how the shoddycast does their montages? it never seems like they're dicking around with the thir person camera to get some movement shot. Thank you for the answers so far though. I should note that one of my desired shots is of my character's boots as he walks into an abandoned church.
  2. Hello! I just got Adobe Premiere recently, and I've been playing around and having some fun with it. At the moment, I'm working on a short fallout montage with some cinematic shots and music. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to get good camera angles and shots. I do know the basic tm, tfc, fov, sgtm, and all that good stuff. My main wonderment is how do you get good free camera angles while moving your character around? And while I'm on that note, how do you get animated shots of NPCs? I would also like to know if anyone knows how to get good large rotating/panning shots, and clean, stable player movement when working in first person. This is a very well done montage here: can anyone tell me how he got those amazing angles and camera movements? Thanks!
  3. Because gablablaabaaa TECHNOLOGY RUN AMOK!! Honestly, they don't shut the hell up. Probably also extreme laziness on Bethesda's part as any faction could have just taken over. I guess it was just easier to end with one big boom, and then dump you back out with a "go do some side quests or some s#*!." If i'm honest, it probably would have taken a lot of work to sort out those endings.
  4. Thank you so much man, that really helped a ton. I actually got it working this time! lets just hope nothing else breaks while I finish up the rest of the workbenches...
  5. After looking for a while, does anyone know how to add a workbench scrip to an activator to simply avoid all of that furniture and animation nonsense? I'm not too good with scrips, but i remember back in the GECK, all you had to do was apply the script to a new model to make a workbench. Obviously the creation kit is quite different, or I'm just looking at it the wrong way...
  6. To respond to greekrage's post, I have done the exact same thing. It works fine when I use vanilla static objects, but when i add, say, my custom static nuka-cola bottle, the whole thing drops to the ground and becomes a physics object. Wmy only wonderment is, is there something I can do in nif scope to stop this from happening? maybe disable physics somehow? And in response to kitcat81's post, is there any way to disable or alter these "system blocks" you speak of? And could you elaborate on how to change the animation markers? that would be extremely helpful. thanks!
  7. This is an odd one so bear with be, Thanks to the other users and their very useful information, I have been busy taking meshes for misc items and turning them into static items to be placed into my house mod. This has all worked perfectly, however, when i try to group these new models into a static collection, they seem to turn back into a physics object and can be moved around. Since i am a bit of a scrub when it comes to modeling and Nif Scope, i have no other way of putting these objects together to make a custom container mesh. I simply create a Nif from my static collection, and use that as the model for my container. This seems to work perfectly fine when the collection only consists of statics from the base game, but when i add my own custom ones models, it turns itself into a physics object, which is infinitely infuriating. Second question for you good folks, does anyone know how to make a custom workshop station like a chemistry/weapons/armor bench? the interior of the previously mentioned "house" would look terrible with the vanilla workbench models. I have also tried my static collection way of making workbench models, and that ended up exactly like you would imagine, the model fell to the floor and the player got stuck in the wall. As you can see, I'm really out of my depth here, so any help at all would be amazing! I know you guys are awesome, and i would appreciate any feed back you can provide.
  8. Okay, thanks man, I'll check what that script's all about, and try to do the models, though it may take a while.
  9. Hi there! I just had a simple question that I'm hoping some of you folks can get it straight. I just began work on a row house player home mod, and i wanted to make it look all cluttered with items. Only problem, most of those items are miscellaneous, movable items which can make for a big mess. I've seen many player home mods that use static versions of these objects to decorate the place. I'm not completely sure how they did it, but if i had to guess, it looks as if they converted every single model to static, which sounds beyond tedious to me. If that is what must be done, then so be it, but I was just wondering if there may be an easier way to do it. One thing i did try; I had grouped all of these pieces and put them into a loading screen static collection. Unfortunately, even though they were a static collection, the whole piece simply fell to the floor when i tested the physics. Could there possibly be a way to do this? Once again, if anyone has any insight into any of this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Thanks man, i'll see what i can do, although I'll have to figure out what you mean by "persistence qualities".
  11. Hello there! I seem to be having trouble with a simple mod I am currently tinkering around with. In short, this mod basically swaps the armors within specific outfit lists. The goal was to change what most people are wearing without going in and giving every single NPC a different pieces of armor. This seems to work well in theory, however, upon loading up the game, I noticed that no one was wearing the changes outfits, they all still had on the vanilla arrangements. When I started a whole new game, this seemed to fix the problem, however, I do not wish for people to start a new game just to activate so simple of a mod. Does anyone know why this is happening? And if so acre there any solutions/workaround to this problem? Thanks for taking the time to read, and i hope we can solve this!
  12. Hello, I need a bit of help, see, i need to generate some lods for the wasteland (i know, hefty order) but i keep getting this error: http://i.imgur.com/o1c3hnU.png?1 I've downloaded LOD essentials pack, but i still have missing TGAs. i am currently trying to convert them all by hand but its tiring. If anybody knows how i could speed this process up or a pack that i could download, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  13. Hello to whoever looks at this. I am currently having problems with my render window switching to the cell list window. it may happen when i move and switch cells, or it may happen when i simply click on the base terrain. if anyone has any answers to this problem, they would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
