I just updated SKSE64 and the game barely starts up before it crashes. It did this before I updated, actually. I was hoping updating SKSE would fix the problem. It actually got worse. It went from maybe 2 seconds to 1/2 a second before CTD. So I checked on Vortex and got this error message (see attached pic). The one at the end is the one I *think* is giving me problems, since I've had the other "errors" pop up and my game ran just fine. What should I do? The frustrating thing is I haven't been able to play for months. I finally get a chance and this happens. That's Murphy's Law for ya, eh?

The only thing I really want to do is add long hair, but it seems kind of complicated. Could someone recommend a reputable mod and explain what I need to do? I have a bit of modding experience, but I've been spoiled by Vortex and Nexus Mod Manager.

Just to clarify, I don't want to switch the game I'm already playing (Skyrim LE) to Vortex. I want to keep that one as is, and start a brand new game of Skyrim SE using Vortex. The mod in question is Legacy of the Dragonborn V.5/Oddessy of the Dragonborn. Both still in development. The mod author said that the would no longer be compatible with NMM. Just for Skyrim? Give or take, 100-115. I don't have an exact number because it's been doing this weird thing where the mods will be grayed out or have a red "no" symbol, but will still be present in my game, or they'll be active with the green check and not be present in my game. Sometimes I outright delete them and they'll still be in my game. lol. No idea why. I also have some for Oblivion. 29 to be exact. And I forgot I did start up a game of Skyrim SE awhile back. I have 26 mods there.

I want to start a new game (Skyrim SE) and found out one of the mods I want doesn't support NMM. So I have to use a different mod manager, like Vortex. I'm also in the midst of playing a moderately modded version of Skyrim LE. I'm almost at level 50 and don't want to lose my progress. My question is: Would I still be able to continue the game I'm playing using NMM *and* set up a new game using Vortex?

So I just defeated the dragon that spawns when you shout at the glowy thing. Afterwards I tried to enter the Debate Hall. CTD. After that I tried to enter the Hall of Rumination. Same. What can I do to fix this?

Thanks for the help! I've allocated more memory where I could and it seems to be running better. I also decided to load an earlier save. So I'm not entirely sure if one or both things helped. So far I haven't had any more purple textures *knock on wood*. I did have a random crash in Ustengrav. I decided I needed a break afterwards, so I haven't gone back to see if it crashes again. Cross your crossables for me!

I need help. I'll be able to get as far as the waiting screen, then only some of the graphics will load (See pic. I'm standing in the Riften Market here.) and then it will crash. Before this happened, I was getting purple textures so I decided to save, close, and start up the game again. Thanks! I'll check that out! And I know one must exist for the plants one. I was watching a Let's Play and saw the plants going away as the person harvested them. I've tried contacting them to see what mod made it possible.

Hello! I find it very disappointing that, after finishing the guild quests, all you are able to do is collect money every so often. Are there any good mods out their that extend the guild quests/allow you to keep doing work for the guilds? Honestly, if I had my druthers I'd demote my character just so I can do more stuff XD; Also, are there any good mods out their that make plants disappear when you harvest ingredients? Or should they disappear already and something is off with my game? ^^;

Hey! So, I was playing Oblivion a moment ago. It froze, so I had to do a hard restart. Then, I opened up the game again and when I went to continue my game it gave me this message: "Save game version is 0.00 and current version is 0.125, so errors may occur. Continue to load? Y/N" So I said "Yes". The message came up again. so I said "Yes" again and it crashed. Then I opened it up again and try to load a game. When I clicked on "Load" it just CTD. What's wrong and how do I fix it? EDIT: FIXED! After I calmed down a tad I thought to myself "I should google this!" and found the answer. It required me to lose about 20 minutes of game play, but that's better than losing everything.

Hey! I did figure out the thing with the sack. Lol. What threw me was when I first started up after character creation I had all my gear on me, save for any $. So I thought it was an auto-equipped situation. Then I thought there must really be something wrong when I tried it again and got nothing at all. Also, I found the mod by watching a Let's Play and I think the gear might have been automatically equipped. Maybe that was an older version? Or I had a brain fart when they checked the bag. lol. Anywho...Thanks for replying!:)

I don't have any that effect lighting/the environment. The only graphics altering mod I have is one that alters the face so it doesn't look like a potato. Other than that I have a map mod, an alternative start mod and the unofficial patches.

Heyo! No matter what options I choose, I always end up with 0 gold/septims (are they called septims in this game?). Also, the first time I tried it I had nothing at all in my inventory.
