  1. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you the same guy who made the Shifter mod for Deus Ex? I can't believe it took me this long to notice. That's my favorite game of all time. You, sir, have my undying gratitude for life.
  2. I'm having the same problem. Everything is getting unchecked in NMM whenever something changes. Lost my whole setup. Don't worry though, this'll probably get fixed soon enough.
  3. Hi everybody. Just getting ready to release the new Combined Community Sound Pack for F:NV (aiming for an early October release hopefully) on the Fallout Nexus. I'm still securing all the permissions and getting some sounds together for the reloads and fixing bugs but I thought I'd release the pack here for some beta testing. Basically, the Combined Community Sound Pack is a sound pack for New Vegas that replaces the sound effects for every firearm with high-quality replacements from talented sound artists like myself, Vunsunta, Nightmare Mutant, Mateoski, Navaro, and more. Each weapon has its own new set of unique sound entries which includes distance sounds, so you can now tell which firearm is being shot at a distance rather than hear a generic crack sound. Unique weapons such as A Light Shining in Darkness, the Medicine Stick, and the .45 Auto pistol have unique sounds as well. So far it's in ESP form, which means you can turn it on and off at your leisure. This will be an option in the future because without replacing the sounds directly, modded weapons and new weapons such as the courier's stash weapons do not use the unique entries for the CCSP. This will be fixed in the future, but I'm planning an ESP version and a manual install version for the full release. In the meantime you can download the base version, the GRA version and the Honest Hearts version (they are all compatible and build on one another so use them all if you have the appropriate DLC) at http://www.rivierasoftware.net/CCSP.zip. If you don't feel like installing it feel free to listen to all the sounds in the zip file itself without having to turn it on. And of course, any feedback, bugs, and suggestions (especially new sounds) are welcome, as this is a community pack.
  4. So, I've created a sound mod using recorded sounds based off of Battlefield 3's weapon sounds (which are very realistic). I'm guessing such a mod would not be allowed due to the fact that the sounds are based on an existing game with its own copyrights, but I've seen other mods around Nexus that use sounds from other sources by just crediting them, like R2D2 sounds for ED-E. Can anybody clarify this for me?
