  1. I just tried to download: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76086/? Same issue on Skyrim nexus just now, which made me think to check here. Other issues I'm having (Was considering creating my own thread for this, I'm simply 'lazy' I suppose). I've been logged off randomly more then once recently past week or two. Downloads are unusually slow (I have a 15 Megabit or 7.5(isg) Megabyte download speed avg. from my isp) NMM downloads are... weird, they don't download correctly or install correctly, this could be unrelated and I may create a separate thread if it keeps up. I simply have been downloading mods through my browser and adding them separately. @Thandal Yeah, often refreshing makes the issue go away. I'm not sure if it's a local issue, I'm not sure how your servers are setup if it could be related somehow to where I am but still other non-nexus sites seem to be working just fine. My ISP and router can be a pain, they (knock on wood) are working at the moment.
  2. I am having this problem too. New Vegas Nexus mods and Fallout 4 mods, over the past few days. The exact message is: "The file is currently being uploaded to our file servers and it will be ready to be downloaded soon." Usually just refreshing takes care of it but its often various mods I run across. The odd thing is some of the mods have not been updated in months or even years, so unless the servers themselves are being updated, refreshed, etc. I wouldn't see why I would get this message. If you want links here are the ones I recall from today and the past couple of days: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13593http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42952/?http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35701/?http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55024/?http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35620/?http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35620/?http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42952/? I haven't downloaded mod myself this but I did notice this mod has the same issue on Fallout 4 Nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14627
  3. Hey all, I wasn't completely sure where I should post this topic, so if it's in the wrong sub-forum I apologize.A multi-part minor set of issues I'm sort of dumping at once (sorry), nothing game breaking as I'm still playing now, just annoyances, but I do hope someone could point me in a direction for one or more issues. I'm replaying Oblivion for the first time in several years on my new PC.I have a GTX 980ti, 24Gb DDR4 RAM, 3.7Ghz i7, SSD boot and install drive, Windows 7 Pro, all latest drivers as of this post (Before you say this is overkill, I use this machine for 3d modeling and programming). I reinstalled the game completely as well as a couple of mods one by one all through NMM. This is when I noticed the first issue, NMM and Oblivion. Here are the mods I have (plus a couple of texture packs for face and general enviornments), I used the latest Loot to sort them:I also have a few obse plugins: Fast Exit, Oblivion Reloaded, Pluggy, Enhanced Camera, and better cities helper. I have the latest (as of this post) version of NMM, and it doesn't seem to like Oblivion mods anymore. A lot more crashing during installation (which causes faulty installs and I have to manually uninstall the files). Many mods like Better Cities caused NMM to consistently crash if I tried to install it, OOO was the same way. I eventually only used NMM to install the simple, unscripted mod installs like Arena Alive. Another issue that has been cropping up is the crashing on loading certain cells (sometimes). That is very little information I know but I can't find a discernable pattern. Whether it's Shivering Isles or The Captain's Cabin in Dunborrow Cove of Thieves Den DLC. The crashing was more often when I had auto-save turned on so I turned that off. I can brute force my through these rare occurrences by saving closer and closer to the trouble spot. Once it crashes, I'll load the most recent save and often I can proceed on my merry way blissfully hacking my way into the Deadlands of Oblivion without more crashing. I wonder if its because of an issue with the textures loaded in RAM? I just used a 4gb memory awareness patcher on Oblivion.exe (yes I made a backup) to see if that helps, I'll let you know if it does, otherwise assume not. Finally, an addendum of sorts to my prior mentioned issue. I've had two crashes thus far on my 12 hours of playthrough, these were special crashes in the fact that they happened as I saved. I loaded my prior save and every time I tried to save after loading it subsequently crashed. I had to keep loading prior saves (playing Bethesda games as long as I have, you learn to keep a few GB, yes Gigabytes, worth of backup saves on hand for your playthroughs for just these sorts of issues) until I found one a bit of a ways back that finally did not have any issues with me saving. It was like my save got a weird corruption after that point on that caused crashing while saving. This happened a second time. As with the previous set of crashing I can't see any obvious pattern with locations, quests, armor, or etc, so I believe it's another behind the scenes type issue. I apologize for the long post, I hope someone is willing to assist with one or more of these issues. People can debate on which is the better game, Morrowind, Oblivion, or Skyrim. Personally, I just think they're all awesome games with their own set of unique merits that shouldn't be ignored. Thanks all, I can't believe I've been here 8 years already. I know I'm a pretty quiet member sometimes only coming out to either complain, post a small picture, or etc, but you guys have done some pretty awesome work and have been a great modding community. Edit: As I got into the Shivering Isles the crash on save and even random crashing started to become far more frequent. I decided to try Wyre Bash and it's remove bloat from save function. This seems to have worked very well for me thus far. This may lie some of the issues with the crashing I am having, save bloating leading to save corruption?
  4. As much of a pain as it may be, I'd advise at this point to do a couple of things. You said you used a Save game cleaner, was it this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? It seems to work wonders for me. Next up, WyreBash, google it, install it, and create a bashedPatch. It merges mods and creates a patch automatically to greatly improve compatibility. I've used it since my days in Oblivion modding. It looks like you have a few mods requiring a bit higher amounts of RAM. For Skyrim modding I usually recommend around 4gb of RAM and then use a 4gb awareness patch on the executable, feel free to google it there are tons of info on them and I believe there is one on the Nexus as well. Also make sure drivers, skse, and Skyrim are up to date. If that doesn't work then try re-installation. From the logs it looks like some loose files and esps are activated and missing. This has happened to me before and NMM has lied to me about what's activated. You could remove specific and tweak files from the my documents and the appData folders, but I'm not 100% of what's to blame here so I would personally recommend fully uninstalling all mods via NMM or whatever you're using. Uninstall Skyrim, delete any leftovers in Skyrim folder in my documents (besides saves) and the Skyrim folder in %appdata%. Then reinstall everything one by one. After basegame and DLCs are installed, the safe route is one by one installation of each mod with Mod organizer or NMM and testing the game. It's a pain, but alot of us have had to do it one time or another (more then once in my case for Skyrim and Oblivion). With this method, it may cause issues with your current saves, ensure to use backups and the save game cleaner between uninstalling and installing to reduce the risk of corruption which even with that you could still lose your saves. Best of luck!
  5. As WinterandStars stated, BOSS or it's newer counterpart LOOT should make it pretty easy to create a good load order and tell you about any major incompatibilities. If you still have issues afterwards that's when you try by hand to look for issues. You can google for both of them easily enough to find the installation website.
  6. If Xycote's method doesn't work, then you could try with console commands to start the main quest. 'setStage MQ101 900' - without the quotes should complete Unbound. if that doesn't work you could try 'completeQuest MQ101' - without quotes. This is not too recommended but should work. Afterwards just go to Dragonsreach in Whiterun to see the Jarl, this should advance the quest. If that fails then do 'setStage MQ102 100'
  7. Not a question just positive feedback. I've been a member of the site for some time, and lately as far as I can tell, the sites are running extremely well and I'm impressed. I used to experience a lot of almost random down time where it'd work one moment and then it'd time out. Now for past month or two, mostly since the switch to the latest format, it's ran very smoothly, no problems, quick download speed across the servers. I recall I made a topic about my concerns regarding the switch, but I was wrong. So great work to moderators, admins, coders, and web devs. That's all, thank you.
  8. Bump/Update: So two new symptoms popped up. I deleted Skyrim.ini folder to see if there was a weird setting in there that caused the issue. And it sort've fixed the issue but now I have massive save bloating (doubled in size after 10 minutes of playing, also note I have it set to reset cells every 24 in game hours.) Also occasionally the save will take extra long to create however upon loading it'll tell my my save is corrupted. Also not long after those issues, if I try to keep playing the game reverts wholly to the issue mentioned above. I restate, I haven't added anything other then the bookshelves mod mentioned above which I removed and loaded a save to before I installed it. Update: I reinstalled Skyrim and removed scripts from save. So far so good. But I still don't know why it happened in the first place.
  9. It seems I wrongly posted on the Predator Vision forum. I know I just recently posted about an issue here but, this is a new separate issue. Every mod that uses Skse, Face to face, predator vision, auto unequip ammo, all stopped working and actually behave very glitchy. At one point I couldn't turn around (yeah, the camera was locked in place), even after reloading the save. All MCM mods dissappeared from the MCM menu. Predator Vision started with having a massive script delay, with it activating/deactivating like crazy, then it stopped working entirely, the buttons didn't do anything. Is there anyway to flush Skse scripts or something? I tried removing them, nada, I tried cleaning the save, ziltch. I loaded said cleaned save without skse saving and reloading with skse, didn't work. Also reloading earlier saves work, for a little while then it stops working again. I have removed all recently installed mods that have scripts (really the only one was http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24359/? bookshelves script SKSE by McGuffin to replace unlimited bookshelves) My mod list is huge and I'm not sure its because of any one mod, it sounds like an issue with skse, but I'll post my mod list if request, also this is in my Skryim.ini: [Papyrus]fUpdateBudgetMS=800fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=800fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=2000iMinMemoryPageSize=256iMaxMemoryPageSize=512iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=2457600 My computer can handle Skyrim, I have i7 3.6GHz, plus nVidia GTX Titan 6gb VRAM, with 12 GB of RAM, (I'm a developer). My drivers are 100% up to date, Let me know if you need anything else. My last 3 playthroughs all ended out in a similar fashion, I finish dawnguard and a few side quests and by that time some gamebreaking bug rears it's ugly head. Can somebody please help me? I'd rather not have to shelve this game again, plus my winter break ends soon and it's back to the grind.
  10. Hello everyone, Before I start let me just state that I love this site. It's a great way to bring in brilliant minds in one spot to talk about and work on things we love. And the moderators and developers seem to work pretty hard based on Dark0nes posts. Now then my main criticism in general with the Nexus, both site as a whole and mod manager is it seems like they're trying to tackle too many issues at once. Example, recently Nexus allowed for just about all modable games to have a spot here on the site. A good move, however the servers are still struggling to keep up the load adding more complexity to the back-end will just slow things further. If the decision was made to bring more users and therefore more income via ads and usage, my thought is, wouldn't it be better to improve current areas of problems. This will encourage more users into becoming members, as personally giving money to a site that goes down almost daily is not overly appealing, respectfully. The mod manager still crashes and recently starting giving me consistent blue screens when I decided to dust off oblivion and install a couple mods. Its hard to get one site and one manager working for so many different things and handling countless users per second. But the phrase "Jack of all trades, master of none" comes to mind. I serve as a consultant for a IT dept. at a hospital with several years experience at 3 different locations, as well as 4 years college in computer science, software development, I'd advise focusing on one problem at a time, build more trust with the users and in this you'll amass more members and in turn more funding to aid with the overwhelmed servers. Thanks for the time and best of luck.
  11. CollisionFix - makes vampire lords fit through doorways Calypsinvestigator - adds female clothing armor Obis - Organized Bandits In Skyrim This is sorted with BOSS, I just uploaded the wrong list rather then loadOrder.txt WyreBash hasn't worked for me before, but it's worth another try. I also recently cleaned out any loose scripts that wasn't attached to anything, works fine in vanilla I just can't easily pinpoint which mod causes the issue, filtering 200 mods is tedious with me having alot of work projects occurring now, hence me asking if there have been any fresh cases of this lately with any of the large mods I've used. Thank you though for your response and time.
  12. Hey everyone, I'm having an annoying bug where everytime a cell is loaded all the bandits in the cell are instantly aggro'd and attack me. I'll walk near a bandit fort and I see 15 red dots on my compass appear out of nowhere. At first I thought it was Requiem so I (and for other reasons) switched to SkyRe. Same issue, logically I tried uninstalling OBIS, same issue, even with a cell clear and a new game. Most likely its one of the many (211) mods I have installed. I can deal with it, but it is annoying with followers, as AFT never worked for Serana for me and she goes charging in with spell and sword like a fool, as my character is still "newish" in this run and bandits get overwhelming quickly with SkyRe and OBIS installed. If anybody has an idea of what I can do or a fix I'd appreciate the advice. I'll post my orderlist down below. 13. Anytime I enter volkihar castle I get a ctd. Here's what I've tried to do to fix the issue: I have removed ALL mods, I've tried a new game, I've verified integrity via steam, I'm fully updated (game and drivers) my computer specs are more than enough to handle skyrim as I normally mod the hell out of it, I've reinstalled the game (after uninstalling and removing any trace of mods) I've deleted the ini file to force skyrim to recreate them. I've tried just the unofficial dawnguard patch, and just to confirm I do have a legal copy via steam (just in case someone was curious). Does anyone have any tips or advice? I've gone through countless forums looking for answers. I just reinstalled the game too as I was having a save corruption issue before due to some loose script running around and only got 3 hours in. I was so excited to get it working for a while since school starts up next week I was hoping to get one more playthrough down.
  14. Hello everyone. I've played skyrim countless times including the civil war quests, only recently did I have any issues. I'd like to start off saying I've searched for countless fixes and none worked. I have NO mods activated that would alter dialogue or the skyrim quests (Several texture, had a follower mod, a few weapon and armor mods and a couple mods adding npcs). Also note I used a bashed patch and boss, beyond that my game is pretty vanilla, just with some rainbow sprinkles to pretty it up...I am fully updated.I have a legal steam version.I tried unofficial Skyrim Patch (latest version)My computer and drivers are updated and can handle skyrim (I've seen people ask about hardware for some reason even though it is irrelevant to this or similar issues)I am very far into the game, I already completed Alduin Quest line, DLC, Companions, Mages, Brotherhood, and Thieves guilds lines, as well as countless side quests. The details of the issues are as follows: After completing the Defend Whiterun Quest for the Legion I received [...] quest and report to Tullius without any marker. After talking with Tullius I figured perhaps it's just a minor bug and I can continue, well I received Reclaim the Pale quest, and again no marker, but hey, I've done the quest before I know where to go.... Legate Rikke is nowhere to be seen. Okay I'm very familiar with the console, a simple: prid 198bb, moveto player, should fix it. However she doesn't have reporting for duty and just walks away. I've tried waiting 30 in-game days, completing other quests, even removing mods that should be irrelevant (Amazing Follower Tweaks as it was the ONLY mod I had that did anything with dialogue). I've tried using a much earlier save from before the civil war quest line began (before I picked a side at all). Now, the civil war quest is the only quest line I have yet to complete (even the dlc is done), so their isn't a chance I'm starting a new game yet again, I'll sooner just use console commands to skip the whole thing if I must, though little Lucia would be disappointed with her dad if he didn't reunite skyrim without cheating. Does anybody have any solutions or fixes that I may have missed? Magical mods fixing the quest and the legate, or a console command to fix the dialogue idk...
  15. Hmm, I forget why I don't have that one module... Regardless. I am trying to use a new playthrough, though I've tested on many other saves as well. I haven't deleted everything in the skyrim folder, but when I reinstalled I did clean out my registry. If I delete everything I'd have to download everything again, and my ISP is a pain with a strict measly 40GB a month Download limit. (Only provider in the area sadly and I'm not the only one on my internet connection) So I was trying to avoid complete fresh reinstalls including all mods. I've done a full reinstall once before and it didn't work, I just didn't delete all my mods and such. I've used wyre bash in the past, I just figured with the problem occuring even with ERSO deactivated it wasn't nessary, can't hurt though. I'll give it a shot when I can.
