  1. Hey all, I am trying to get a very simple mesh I created to work. It is showing up in nifskope with textures(I have double checked all texture paths), and I used the same process for skinning in 3dsmax that I used on previous successful meshes. I doublechecked my BSdismember modifier, and it is fine. I used TESedit to make sure the correct model was being used in both armor and armoraddon sections. It flat out won't appear in game either on my character, or on the ground. What could I be missing? Thanks,
  2. Hey all, I posted this over in 3dmodelling, but not getting any hits. I have recently got into modding, and have been beating my head against the wall trying to learn to model Skyrim armor. Quick question: How do I have certain equipment hide the hair, hands, and feet of the characters that equip them? For example, a tight fitting hood that I dont want hair to clip through, or shoes with heels? Is this done in 3dsmax, nifskope, or something else? I heard it is an option in the creation kit, but can't find anything in there that helps me. The piece of equipment I am making will hide the hair, hands, and feet. Any help would be awesome!
  3. Excellent! Is it possible for one piece of armor to hide multiple parts? The piece of equipment I am using is a whole body mesh.
  4. Hey all, I have recently got into modding, and have been beating my head against the wall trying to learn to model Skyrim armor.   5. One other thing, after locating material editor, and other material utilities, it shows the files being there, but the thumbnails are black. My models also aren't wireframe, but a single shade of gray(not sure if that makes a difference).
  6. I have double and triple checked all file paths, and followed all the instructions I could find for installation, still no luck. I have even tried putting a copy of the loose texture files directly in the file path(before any of the sub files). As far as trying to add them manually, where is "Menu Function"? I have 3dsmax 2015 if that helps.

  8. I have tried both. Right now they are in a duplicate file structure set up exactly like my data folder, just with the default meshes extracted.
  9. Hey guys! I really hope someone here can help me figure this out. Whenever I import a mesh in nifskope, 3dsmax (with nif utility), or blender (nif plugin), I get no textures. When I try to export the mesh and view it in game, the textures arent there either. I am pretty much done with Blender(completely impossible for me to get used to and use effectively), but 3ds max and nifskope are pretty critical to me. I made sure to install the nif plugin for 3ds carefully, and my file paths have been checked 100 times by now. This is really driving me crazy, and stonewalling my modding efforts, so I hope its just some stupid thing I forgot to do, or some easy fix. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
