  1. Complaining about being able to exploit a game that gives you an editor that let you mod any overpowered item you could imagine of into the game is kind of silly (imho), but that is not why I posted a reply. Speaking about the "Exploit to end all exploits", is anyone here old enough to remember the "Armageddon" spell from one of the early Ultima Underwold games? That is what I would call the exploit of all exploits!
  2. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Leveling Anyway you should not worry about finding Daedric armor and such too soon, Skyrim is more balanced than Oblivion was in that regard.
  3. A guard told me off for abusing shouts to sprint around in the city. I felt so naughty. :P
  4. Agree totally with the OP, except for the negatives. What's wrong with killing moves? I find the occasional beheading of bandits quite satisfying. I response to Chaosrex: The OP can't be wrong - he is just stating an opinion, and so are you. While your objections are technically correct - you your self admit that Skyrim's UI is better than Oblivion's - and I agree. The UI is fine - while not perfect it is without doubt better than Oblivion's ever was, for both PC and Console users. It seems you and ScorpionHunter both agree, I guess the difference is whether you are a 'the glass is half empty, or half full' kind of person. And while it irks me that PC is no longer the main (or only) concern for game-developers, I'm prepared to face reality. Every modern game that wants to earn money has to work on the three platforms, and that means some compromises must be made. I personally as an old school gamer would like to download & install by patches myself , but I work with computers and know what I'm doing. The reality is that all software is becoming simpler and simpler to use for everyone, and that means automatic patching is required, and the majority of users have no clue what they are doing - so it most certainly reduces the number of support-cases the developer companies has to handle. Almost every major game release the last year has had Steam for DRM and Patching, so Bethesda can't be faulted for selecting it. While I would like to not have to register offline games online, that is the future - and it can't be stopped. The only way you can avoid Steam nowadays is to stop playing games. I'm not prepared to do that, I'm thankful that all game-studios seem to have decided that Steam is one and only framework. Steam is the lesser evil - at leas it's not GFWL... Anyway, complainers will keep complaining - that's every forum's life blood. This thread will soon die, as there's no point in arguing with someone that don't spout nonsense. ;)
  5. Neverever use placeatme on NPC's! This console command should be totally forbidden to use on anything but simple objects! Your duplicate's scripts will never work the same as the original Lydia. The proper way - and the ONLY way - to do what you really wanted to do is to use "moveto player" and "resurrect" on her original prid. If i sound flustered it's with good reason, I've gotten a number of bogus bugreports on my companions in previous TES-games from people using this damn command. DON'T use placeatme on any NPC. JUST DON'T DO IT. EVER! ps. you might need to do "disable" and "enable" on her too after resurrect, unless they have changed that...
  6. The stormcloaks are only the beginning, The entire empire will tremble in the near future, Ulfric is just a pawn to be used until I have gained enough power. Muhahaha!
  7. I just have to say I love the new rating system, and not only becasue it puts me back on the top-list... :whistling: ...but finally everones vote count equally, instead of the old system where one guy giving an 8 in reality got the weight of 6 or 8 votes, because that's how many 10's you need to counteract that imbicile, that probaly thougt he was giving you a good rating anyway. Also to be able to separate categories is fantastic!
