Hello All. I have noticed that many of you are making up your own back-stories for the Androids I have recently released. I find this to be great! I love hearing all of your ideas and seeing how my mod concept has ignited your imaginations. The androids I have released here do have their own back-story, so I thought I would share it here. *WARNING* this post is in the spoilers section as it has spoilers for part of the main quest-line, specifically involving your Kidnapped Son. If you have already gotten to where you figure out Sean's destiny, or you don't mind this information being spoiled, then read on. Also this will have spoilers for the quest-line I create, that I think I will make as a separate mod so that it will be optional, and you can keep making up your own lore! Ok, so here is the main quest spoiler. Sean was taken by the institute, 80 years before your unfreezing. My quest will begin just after you dispose of the institutes stooge. So what happened was this. When the institute stopped the freezing process in Vault 111, to retrieve Sean, they initiated a lock of the POD doors that was not suggested by the manual, and basically broke every stasis pod except for your spouses. When they leave, they do not realize that you are put into near stasis, not actual stasis. Thomas Rogers, who survived the great war, and was mutated by having the FEV virus in his system, and being irradiated by being near to a warhead detonation on October 23 2077, monitors the institute infiltration of Vault 111, discovers their flaw. He entered Vault 111 after the institute, but could not determine the cause of their visit. he did see that there was a program set to release you in 80 years, so decided to remotely monitor your vitals, something the Institute did not do. 60 years later, Thomas Rogers sees an anomaly, and returns to Vault 111, to find you, aged to a man of about 80. Partial stasis kept you alive, but you still aged. Thomas Rogers then decided he would awaken you, and tell you of his plan. How you became an android: His plan is simple, he wants to transfer your brain into that of one of his androids. It turns out that Tom managed to keep the research notes, and even one of the Model 4 androids from being destroyed my General Washington Wallace's directive. This would allow you to live through to seeing what the Institute had in store for you, and hopefully allowing you access into the Institute. Thomas Rogers needed to get in, but the institute is aware of him, and his androids, but only a Model 4 could infiltrate their interior, as they have detectors for the Model 3 A.I. Core. Thomas Rogers had tried to transfer himself into the Model 4 he had left, but could not as his mutation interfered with the machine's ability to read his brain. He had held onto this tech and android, hoping to find a strategic way of using it, and found this in the Sole Survivor's plight. Upon reviving you from your slumber, Tom explains all of this to you, and gives you the choice. You decide to go along with this, even though it means temporarily removing your memories of becoming an android, as it makes the subterfuge more convincing if you are not even aware you are an android. So Tom uses matter transference tech to remove you from Vault 111, and to his facility that has the tech, which just so happens to be in the basement of his old boyhood home. Tom copies your mind, and you also become linked to the consciousness of the android (unit P14Y3R) Tom then transfers you to the Android factory/ all inclusive resort to live out the rest of your days in greater style than any post war style. Tom leaves the android you out of Vault 111 for a full year while you and it become used to the mental connection you share. After a year the Android version of you is shut down, and all memories are rolled back until the moment you went into Partial Stasis, and placed back into Vault 111, all logs of this are expunged from the records, so that the institute would not know it occurred. You live for another 15 years, before passing peacefully a mere 5 years before being woken up again. At the moment of your death, Tom transfers all of your memories since being parted with your android self, so that it can be restored to you once your mission is complete. Android Information: Model 1 Adult Prototype Unit Unit run, 1 unit created This was the first attempt at creating an android. While identical to a Unit 3 android in all ways, this single unit was designed with a blank A.I. Core, and was to be the unit that the scientists at TRI-R taught basic skills, like movement, and higher reasoning. This unit, which was a full size adult, with full robotic strength, overpowered the scientists, sometimes without even meaning to, causing it's education to become difficult. So the product line was shut down and the Model 2 unit was developed. Model 2 Child Units Unit run 8 units These 8 units were designed to each learn a core movement as well as a core mental lesson, the data from this would all be compiled into a full A.I. Core that contained all of the lessons. One of these units becomes unstable, and almost takes over the entire facility. This unit is eventually deactivated, and a replacement is constructed. Three scientists are killed as a result of Unit 6's malfunction. Model 3 Adult Production Unit Model Run 2563 units before factory shutdown on October 23 2077, as a result of the rogue program "Scorched Earth" deleting Command & Control programs from the main server. 1000 units sent to the U.S. Army on October 01 2077 1000 units made as 1st retail run. 500 units created to serve the guests of the All Inclusive Resort, including courtesy clerks, janitorial and security staff. 12 units created as demonstration units and sent to 12 higher education facilities on October 14 2077, tracking info shows all units arrived before the bombs fell. 50 Preorder units created. 1 Experimental unit created, this unit was not given set directives, and was allowed to use it's A.I. Core alone to function. At first this unit was employed by Thomas Rogers Incorporated, but later parted ways with the company. This unit leaves the company when they decide to shut down Android Thomas Rogers. Thomas Rogers fights to keep the experiment going, and let the android do it's own thing, the board agrees, but dis-connects it from the TRI-R network entirely. Model 4 Human Host Units Model run 7 units (one of these is not logged and avoids destruction at the hands of General Washing Wallace) This unit was designed by Thomas Rogers to run off of a Pure Control Unit, instead of an A.I. Core, and was only designed when Thomas Rogers is informed that his body will begin to fall apart because of his poisoning. Thomas Rogers copies himself into one of these units, is forced to destroy 5 others, but manages to keep one, and eventually transfers the player (you) into it.

Or 12 hours? I have been trying to get a mod up since 11:30am, now its 11:06 PM, and I still have no usable file. Just like OP stated, everything looks good with the files, the magnifying glass shows all of the contents, the virus scanner report shows all contained files a virus free, but the download that it shows is not the one that is downloaded. My mods created before this date still work, so no idea where this is broken, but can assure you, it is.
