  1. I was thinking about the weight limit and making it dynamic. so say you have 60lbs then run speed is 100% but at 65 you drop to 90% speed etc. Has this been done in previous fallouts? Any thoughts?

  3. So you are saying lightning bugs blind a person with each flash? Come on. Go out at night and watch a lightning bug flash and see how much area is lit up from the flash. In fact take a camera and record it...
  4. As for the suggestion to talk to the Realistic Lighting Without... mod creator, I did and He said this "747823: rajendra82: I'm using ENB because of the UI problem with FXAA injector. It would look terrible if I changed the brightness dynamically. I also got rid of everything I didn't need from ENB and only lost 1 fps without the shader and it looks exactly like not using it. liv2dieat8: Well, the interiors seem to do the same thing. The ambients are lowered in the lighting template and the imagespaces are modified some to remove the "sun color". If it doesn't fit your taste, of course you can make your own version. I don't want to have a "mod team" going, but if someone makes a mod that removes point lights that don't come from a ligthsource, and adds them to every object that should be a lightsource, then I'll promote that mod for use with mine. As for what you said for a promote I will tackle that mod (sounds time consuming >.< ) I think I will do it as an addon to my mod or yours. That way People still have a choice or they can just grab the addon from mine and apply it to yours. Also are you doing a version for just outside or just inside? I know I just want to focus on inside bc of the weather mods and others like it and the dark nights and such mods. Going for just inside myself. EDIT: I fail. Did not read the entire readme...   5. It is dim bc thats how I like it to be lol. I have it set at 3 bars I think. That is not bc of my mod. Since this is skyrim modding I did not want to post, but since this has to deal with my mod for skyrim and it shows an example I suppose it might slide. I will post the Skyrim version once I begin the testing phase.

Ok so I was modding a few things and here is what I was talking about with the global ambient lights First Default http://i41.tinypic.com/ap7e55.png Second is with ambient set to black but the ambient template on http://i44.tinypic.com/157zwba.png And third is with ambient set to black AND the ambient template off http://i42.tinypic.com/5z4jrb.png The forth version is in the video with the globals set to black and template off but also without the static lights. The mushrooms have a glow bc that is their texture but they do not produce light. Now the last option is not realistic. But the second of third maybe a viable option. Any takers for opinions? As you can see with both options you still have that flood look that the whole cave has light. Just that the light is very diluted.
  7. Skyedit works but it is a pain toget it ingame. If you add it to a chest any mod that changes that chest overwrites it. same with stores and such. Only way I found to make it work with all mods is make a recipe. Blah. But making a book is simple. The format is a bit different that oblivion. The bookmaker for oblivions does not work well BUT open an existing book in skyedit to see the new format. Easy as hell to learn. And new pictures to add to a book need to be in dds format. Download Gimp and open any picture then save it as a dds. Simple to do. Same works for the textures. To make a unique book with a title on the book cover you need nifscope and gimp (both are free) the process takes a matter of minutes for a noob to learn. perhaps an hour at the most. trust me bc I am a noob and have made many new nifs and dds files and a few books.Like I said getting it into the game can be a pain if you want it to be totally compatible with all other mods. Need more info or help just pm me
  8. edit on my post that said" The second version I will remove by have all" should be "The second version I will remove by hand all the torches and such" So one with only the global gone the second version with now global and no torches and such. So people can choose their flavor. As for AI that will take a lot of work
  9. Perhaps there is a way to alter how npcs react in low light. Maybe through scripting? Basically what I vision is entering a cave. A torch lights up the first room and perhaps down the hall, but as I turn the corner it is dark. Go further and turn again and now it is pitch black. So I pull out a torch and drop it. I see light down a long hall that goes dark So I cast a mage light spell and send a glow ball down the hall to see it wiz past 5 spiders who now notice me.Thus the fight begins. This is what I will work hard to create. I will provide a better example with fallout for the time being until the creation kit comes out. Tomorrow or wednesday (have college after work tomorrow >.<) And perhaps not everyone will like but I will try my best. Do not like the current dark mods.
  10. True true and true again. But after messing with Fallout I have found a few fixes. First the is a global ambience light then second a source light. I deleted both. With just the global ambient gone the muchrooms actually add a light that fills most the cave (barely) so I will make two versions. One that just removes the ambient global so a torch will light a room up but if no light souce is there it will be black. I will make a video tomorrow showing the difference. With the method I describe you will have what you say the other mods lack. Light souces will remain but the 'ambient global" will not. The second version I will remove by have all the torches and such to have only certain caves and such be pitch black. Perhaps that will provide a solution for most people?
  11. The graphics are on medium lol. This is mostly vanilla with 2 mods plus mine. zombie mod and flashlight mod. No downloads yet. Will upload the Fallout one by this weekend. Not sure many will download though lol.
  12. Well I am finishing my mod in Fallout NV and looking to add it to skyrim. Concept is caves have NO light. Was wondering if there is a way to edit light in skyrim without the creation kit. In fallout its in 'cell/lighting/ambient' Not sure if I must wait to get to work on it. Been trying for hours with geck/skyrim... No luck. HURRY creation kit. Sigh. Any thoughts?

  14. Well this will be my first mod. Working on the nifs and textures right now. Basically I plan to add more animals and types to the world. Wild horses (can't be tamed) to new foxs and fish and such. I plan to add rare animals hand placed and also more common spawning ones. Plus a fe books listing new loot from the animals and background on them. IE animal guides. Also new ingredients and clothes. Anyone who is willing to help with new models would be great. Im not good with that and dont know how to animate. But I can take care of the rest including adding new ai for them and such. What do you think?
