  1. Glowbow: There are quite a few quest ideas floating around already, but I am interested in hearing yours, if you care to rewrite it. So I know it's been a long time Nightinglae, but I am thinking of taking the project out of hiatus, and doing more work on it. Here's where I stand: There is a lot of interior work to be done (houses, a cave or two, a couple fortresses, etc.) Then I also need to do NPC & AI design and implementation, more exterior work (which is my forte), quests (which I am a novice at), any scripting work that needs doing, detail work throughout the entire mod, refinement and testing of all of the above, and more besides. What I can do to lighten the load a little bit is ignore everything and just focus on adding interiors & "life" to the town. If I focus on one area at a time, it will be a little boring but at least each part will (hopefully) get done eventually. Eventually I will also need someone who is skilled in the art of papyrus scripting. But for NOW, I need to focus on my 日本語 final exam coming up.
  2. One of the possibilities for me is releasing the island in its current state to the nexus for anyone to play and do whatever they want with it. I think that would give it the greatest chance of being picked up again by modders. I haven't decided for sure yet though.
  3. I'm around still... I should have explained the following a long time ago, and I apologize for not doing that. I'll try to explain the situation regarding this mod: I'm a level designer by choice, and I decided months ago that I really don't like doing anything else when it comes to modding (except in very limited amounts). And what's the point of modding if I don't enjoy myself, right? However, that leaves a huge part of the mod (~60-70%) with nobody to work on it, since my partner dropped out months ago. After that happened, I admit I kind of lost interest in working on the mod, and then a month or so ago, with Skyrim in general. My interest in all Elder Scrolls games comes and goes, and I feel that soon I will be ready to boot up Skyrim (and the CK) yet again. I guess I should remove the banner from my signature... But to do that would be to admit this project truly is abandoned. I'm not ready to say that, even though it has been months since I truly worked on it for any amount of time. So, what this project needs, if it is its fate to be finished, is people who specialize in scripts & quests. I myself would continue doing level design for the project if it were resurrected. I hope this happens, because I am still interested in the project!

  5. @GaryFishFX - Sure, you can help. We'll be needing voices (can you say "yarrrrrr", "wench", "grog", "shiver me timbers", etc. convincingly? xD), and we may need a new scripter, depending on how my friend TheSkoomaKing feels about continuing working on this mod. There is a need for detailed interior work as well! So, I'll message you sometime soon, with the files. @Everyone - Here's some new images of the work I've done on the exterior of the Dormant Volcano island:

  8. @HallLytton - I like many of your ideas. There's already lots of loot, and there will be a big complex below the volcano. I can definitely do the magic eye patches! I wish there was a working parrot out there, but alas, none. There shall be swill aplenty, but cannons not so much. A simple gambling system is not out of the question either, nor are prostitutes and STDs. There's the body tattoo mod, we could make custom pirate tattoos (a heart with a scroll that says MOM on their arms? xD). A crew will be hire-able, but I like the first mate idea. There's a telescope mod out there as well. Exploding barrels should be possible. Well, that's about it. The seafaring spells are not likely. @SirNoobie - At some point Beta testers will be needed, but the mod is not developed enough for that to be necessary. @Tehandyman - Great job with the Blood Horker outfit. Really like it! There will be several captains in the mod, we can certainly make one of them Blackmane, if not the leader of the Blood Horkers.
  9. We think alike, my friend. I had thought to make the leader of the BH be called Graybeard about a month ago, but was like, nah too much of a similarity to the Greybeards... But you bring up a good point about him being able to match or even exceed the player's skill. Would make for a very formidable last boss...
  10. I think Skyrim Mod Talk would be a more appropriate place for this, so that more than just established modders could see it. Anyway good luck!
  11. This (and the above-linked skinning animation/knife requirement) was requested of me back in February-ish (edit: sorry, March-ish) 2012, to go along with Realistic Wildlife Loot. Needless to say, I didn't do it; lacked the skills. Seems like there's a good chance it'll finally be done though, woot!

So... a shorter version! @IruleHyrule: Thanks for the ideas, will probably add in the dancers (only if no external animation mod must be used), maybe the hot springs. @artificialsloth: If you still want to donate ideas, concepts, or whatever you can do, feel free! @EaglehawkAves TheSkoomaKing deserves thanks too; most of his work is yet to come, but I have no doubts about his scripting/questing abilities, nor about his desire to see the mod finished!
  13. Yeah, I haven't spent much time on the Black Market yet. Most of my time has gone into the island itself.
  14. @Strokend - Most of the buildings in this image have interiors, with the exception of a couple of the houses.
