  1. to be honest if your game is only crashing every 2/3 hours you´re probably more lucky than most of the players that use as many mods as you do :P I´m no expert on load orders and you also have lots of mods that i don´t use so i can´t be of much help with that. However these 2 utilities have saved me lots of headaches regarding crashes: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22282 http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10400 Hope it helps
  2. Usually when using vista or windows 7 its better to install oblivion to another location other than the default one. If you want to use it in the default location you have to make sure you run every exe file as admin(this includes OBSE, OBMM, the CS etc, basically every executable file you have in the oblivion folder and subfolders too i think), to do this you can right click on the file, choose properties, go to the compatibility tab and check "run this program as an administrator". If you have OBMM check the FAQ in the readme, question 16 in the faq speaks about this problem. The readme is located in the Oblivion\obmm folder. Hope this helps  Cheers
  3. If i were you i´d start with the tutorials on the Construction Set Wiki: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Main_Page It has lots of basic tutorials for everything related to modding, modeling, texturing, scripting etc. The tutorials there also usually have links to all the tools you need. Or you can just go to the tools category to check them out: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.../Category:Tools If i recall correctly the wiki also provides lots of links to external tutorials. Cheers Jahmir0
  4. You´re welcome :) And good luck with sorting it out.
  5. Hi Jenrai. Not sure if this is going to be of much help since i really don´t know a thing about python other than it allows certain programs to run and use that language when installed :P Anyway, i have both python 2.5 and 2.6 installed and also blender 2.49b and wrye 278b(just installed today, i had 277 before i think). I didn´t have any problems with any of the installations and the only thing i can remember that might be helpfull is that i first installed 2.6 and only after that did i install 2.5 and wrye bash(i recently reinstalled oblivion). Like i said this probably won´t be of any help to you but i was very surprised at how smoothly i was able to install both python versions, and i remember thinking it might have had something to do with the order i installed them by. This is nothing but an uneducated guess of course, but i thought i´d mention it anyway. Cheers
  6. Hi there! The files contained in the Body Variants folder are meant to replace the ones that are in C:/Programs/Bethesda softworks/Oblivion/Data/Meshes/Characters/_Male depending on which body type you wish to use. So, if you want to use one of the lowerbodyPants.nif(lowerbody with cloth) files you simply have to choose one of them, rename it to lowerbody.nif and put it in the _Male folder overwriting the one that is already there. Basically there are 4 files that determine the body of male characters, upperbody.nif, lowerbody.nif, hand.nif and foot.nif and are all contained in the _Male folder. These are the files that need to be replaced whenever you want to alter the body type(or just a specific body part) you are using(usually the foot.nif and hand.nif remane the same and you only replace the lowerbody.nif and upperbody.nif files). Having said this, you really don´t need to use anything contained in the body variants folder, its just a bunch of different body options that you can use if you want. Hope that helps. Cheers
  7. Create the folder textures\weapons\kyoshiro, rename ShadowStorm.dds, ShadowStorm_g.dds and ShadowStorm_n.dds to itami.dds, itami_g.dds and itami_n.dds respectively and place these inside the kyoshiro folder you just created. After that you can delete the textures\weapons\Shadow_Storm folder. That should do it, i think :)
  8. Hi! I´m working on a completely new head mesh myself so i´ve had this problem too. The head must be positioned at 0,0,0 coordinates when you export it to nif. You must then reposition everything in nifskope. I would advise to check out the first page of this tutorial by throttlekitty: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18566 Specificaly the end of the first page. It took me a while to figure out that part, since its a bit vague in the tutorial, so if after reading it you still can´t get it right let me know, i´ll try and help you out. Cheers  Jahmir0
  9. If this is a technical issue regarding the site maybe you should send a PM to one of the moderators i think. They´re probably the only ones who can solve the problem. Cheers
  10. Hi again. Here is my first try at the ears, i just messed aroud with the earshuman.nif in max and made a new earshuman.egm. I don´t know if its exactly how you want it so check it out in game and let me know if you want me to change anything. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9CV99CAD Cheers
  11. LoL You´re welcome :) And yes its very difficult to get a perfect match between the head and body complexion. Like you said its just a matter of taking some time to play with the slidders. Good luck with that. Cheers
  12. Hi, i´ve never done ears before but i can give it a shot. I´m not very experienced in modeling for oblivion but since no one else as offered to help. I´ll post here to report any progress but this might take a while (that is, if i am able to do it at all). BTW love your characters  Cheers Jahmir0
  13. You probably didn´t install HGEC correctly or you installed the underwear version instead of the nude one. Try doing this: 1-Extract the HGEC Body zip file to a place of your choosing on your computer. 2-Open the folder you extracted(HGECBody_v1dot21) there should be a folder inside it named screenshots. Check out the screenshots to decide which body type or combination you want. 3-Now go to the Nude folder to get the body type you want. Basically you have to choose 2 files that will replace the games original ones, the femaleupperbody.nif and the femalelowerbody.nif. Explore the folders and compare the names on the screenshots to the names of the folders to know which body parts you want*.Once you´ve selected copy the femaleupperbody.nif and the femalelowerbody.nif to your Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Characters\_Male folder(if you don´t have this folder you have to create it) 4-Now go to the folder named common inside the HGECBody_v1dot21 folder you extracted, inside that folder are 3 other folders, copy the one named textures to your oblivion data folder (something like C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data if you installed to the default location). 5-In the feet folder copy the folder named meshes to the location mentioned above and in the Hands folder open whatever folder matches your body choice(normal or fighter) and copy the meshes folder inside it to your oblivion data folder. *the lower body parts aren´t named in the screenshots but it goes like this S-small hips M-Medium Hips L-Large Hips LL-Very large Hips And thats it :) Hope it solves your problem.
