  1. Hey everybody! I'm not new to modding by any means (made a few Skyrim mods myself), but I /am/ new to modding the Witcher. I just found my old Witcher/Witcher 2 discs and I'd REALLY like some help as to go about installing mods for the first (and second) game. I use Mod Organizer for Skyrim. Is it possible to use that for Witcher? Do they install manually same as Skyrim? I can't use NMM, unfortunately, as I have some weird bug where no matter which version I try to use, it doesn't load. (I get stuck at the little loading logo and it runs forever. Yes, I ran as administrator.) So someone please shed some light on this for me? Thanks.
  2. Hah. Good point. I posted that from my phone, while at work, so brevity was important. The quest will add a new faction, a new fort/playerhome, a new quest/location aware follower, that armor I was talking about, and roughly 5 hours of gameplay. It centers around an ancient evil reawakened, a cult that worships it, and a group of fading mercenaries specializing in hunting monsters that are Skyrim's last line of defense against it.
  3. My modding team is looking for someone who knows his or her way around Blender to make a couple mash-ups of witcher models for us (along with some other minor editing of stuff we have permission for). If that's you, please simply send me a private message. This is a FANTASTIC new quest mod that will be released soon. Thanks for reading! -Paul
  4. I would do it, but honestly, I'm too busy with my own team's mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20246/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D20246%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D725391&pUp=1 It looks amazing.
  5. Tundra Defense KILLS your Papyrus. Get Pocket Empire Builder instead!
  6. Well, obviously, yeah, there can be clipping issues, but not anything that would bother me too much, really. I use the belts in Aesir armor with all kinds of different armors, and they don't clip much if at all with most armors. Also, doing it in such a way as to avoid clipping is possible. Ie, make armor pieces out of the belts in witcher models to use specifically with the witcher armor models mods. (Skyrim Witcher Experience Enhanced does this with Geralt's sword girdle and it works great.) Also, if you have belts that work with vanilla bodies, that would be AWESOME.
  7. Hey everybody! A small update: We're no longer looking for scripters. General CK modders are needed now, however, as two members of our team had to withdraw due to unfortunate Real Life circumstances. Please PM me to join! We welcome one and all!
  8. Of course. But Bandoliers doesn't have any actual belts. Just bandoliers and pouches and such.
  9. Seriously - there are so many armor and clothing mods out there and so many resources that include belts. Why is there no belt pack out there, with different utility belts, things attached to belts, harnesses, and all that? If someone makes this, I will get so excited I will jump through my living room window.
  10. Oh man. How did Claire from Lost end up in Skyrim?
  11. Cryptic, I'm afraid we're pretty well covered on that front. Sorry! But if you're willing to learn the CK, we'd love to have you. It's pretty easy!
  12. Did I mention this mod is going to be massive? DLC sized! It's maybe 1/10th of the way finished already. P.S. You can PM me to join as well.
  13. Hey everybody! I'm in charge of a team of modders making a huge magic overhaul and quest mod for Skyrim. We are currently looking for a talented scripter or two and a BUNCH of voice actors. Is that you? Want to be part of a growing team of enthusiastic modders taking on a totally unique project (as in, it hasn't ever been done before, let alone a thousand times!) Then just send me a private message! Okay, that's as far as my salesmanship goes. On to the details: Our mod - Age of Reason: The Mage Wars - (that's a working title) will drastically change the way magic is used and viewed in Skyrim. No longer will every other bandit chief have a battle-axe powered by the ferocious forces of nature; no longer will every other corner have a gaggle of conjurers hanging out around it. Magic (in all its forms, including enchanting but excluding alchemy, as alchemy is less about the magic and more about the science) will now be an extremely rare thing in Skyrim. (The exact amount will be roughly on par with the amount of magic in, say, the A Song of Fire and Ice/Game of Thrones universe, or the LOTR universe. Every magic-using NPC and enchanted object will be hand-placed into the game.) Of course, this is no simple overhaul. There is a very large quest-line involved as well, with player-choice out the proverbial wah-zoo. For, you see, a new sect has risen to power within the Church of the Divines--the Divine Inquisition--and they are not fans of magic. To these "devout" followers of the Gods, magic is dirty, unclean, and nasty, and those who use it are the same. It's unnatural, and those despicable "mage" people must have gotten their powers from a deal with a Daedra. And they're not alone. All over Skyrim, people are beginning to see things the way the priests of the Divine Inquisition do... which may be a safe bet, as the Inquisitorial Guard (the military arm of the D.I.) are there to make sure their voices are heard loudest. These warriors, who are based out of Hjelnskr Keep (a new castle near Winterhold), have a multifarious mission. Not only do they guard and watch the mages at the College of Winterhold (the only legal magical institution left in Skyrim), but they also hunt down rogue magic-users and bring them to "justice". And with the "Spellbreakers" (mage slang for the Inquisitorial Guard) after you, it's only a matter of time before you're arrested and taken to the College by force. ... Or is it? With all of this going on, tensions are running high all over Skyrim. Sooner or later, the Mage War will come. But who will cast the first fireball? And who will be around after? With this quest, the player will have many choices presented to him/her, including which side to take in the war, and a HOST of others. There will also be some custom made armor and robes (not going to say who might be doing it, as my fingers are still crossed, but let's just say you've heard of him), and roleplaying interaction with a TON of other popular mods (including Interesting NPCs, Vilja, Inigo, Thorald, and more!) So how about it? Want to join the team? We're not just looking for scripters and voice actors, but anyone who is dedicated and wants to help. Send me a private message with what you're best at in it, and we will get back to you ASAP! Thanks in advance! -Paul AoR
  14. Thanks for the comments, guys. And I like True Mages: A Mage Redux a lot! That's now my official working title!
  15. Okay. So I want to make this new mod that will, in essence, make magic in Skyrim an incredibly rare thing. (Think the same amount as, say, the world of Game of Thrones, or ADandD DarkSun.) This is going to include enchanting, NPCs, items, etc., I'm somewhat new with the Creation Kit, however. I've so far only ADDED things to Skyrim, and this will be taking a TON of things out. Could anyone tell me the best way to go about doing it? The mod is going to add a lot to the game too (since magic will now be rare, those who use magic will be hated and feared--will add a LOT to your roleplaying experience!), but the main issue is the taking out stuff. Can someone steer me in the right direction here, please? Just respond here or PM me. Also, also, if you can think of a cool name for the mod, PLEASE let me know! (I'll stick you on the mod's page for your trouble, too!)

Could anyone tell me the best way to go about doing it? The mod is going to add a lot to the game too (since magic will now be rare, those who use magic will be hated and feared for the most part, sort of like the world of Dragon Age), but the main issue is the taking out stuff. Can someone steer me in the right direction here, please? Just respond here or PM me. Also, if anyone wants to team up for this, I have some really cool stuff going on with the adding stuff too. (Making lots of new NPCs, voice-acting them to hate magic and let you know.) Also, also, if you can think of a cool name for the mod, PLEASE let me know! 17. So, I started a BIG project. A new joinable faction, based on "witchers" created by Andrzej Sapkowski. 2 separate main quests (depending on player choice), a bunch of side and radiant quests, a BUNCH of NPCs (hopefully about as detailed as the ones we know and love from Interesting NPCs), some gear, some spells, a cool new "mutation" system to turn you into a "witch hunter", the monster who hunts monsters. Unfortunately, I have zero voice-talent. Looking for skilled voice actors. I'm also looking for team-mates. Oh, as an aside, I've already gotten preliminary go-aheads from the creators of a bunch of other mods to mention and/or involve things from their mod in Witch Hunter. So, what does this mean? The NPCs at your witch hunter school will complain about Thorald Gray-mane, assassins from the rival school will head straight for Cerwiden, your healer, before going for you, the chef will make a special horker pie for Gorr, etc. etc. (Examples here, btw.) Anyway, please drop me a PM if you're interested.
  18. Hey everybody! I'm working on my third mod, and it's a biggie. It's a new faction based not-so-loosely on "witchers" in the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, represented in The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. There is going to be weapons, armor, a bunch of NPCs (spread all through Skyrim), two separate keeps (two separate witcher schools), two separate main quests depending on player choice (the schools), a bunch of side quests, a nifty little way to "mutate" your character into something similar to Sapkowski's witchers. All done as lore-friendily as possible, all with immersion in mind. (IE, there will be NPCs in cities that will spit at you, call you a freak, then ask you to kill some monsters for them - like they do to witchers. Lots more too.) Anyway, my voice sounds like it comes out of my nose, so I cannot voice ANYTHING. I'm therefor looking for voice actors - ideally at least five of them, one being female. I'm also a bit of a novice, so anyone who'd like to help, I would absolutely love to team up. (Besides, working with other people is how I get excited about projects.) Anyone interested, please send me a PM or comment here. Thanks!
  19. Hey everybody. I'm a new modder, learning my way around the creation kit. The first thing I've made is a mid-sized keep for a monster hunter, and it gave me the idea (since Skyrim Witcher Experience Enhanced is effectively dead {??}), why not put a new lore-friendly-ish guild into Skyrim, based on the amazing witchers created by Andrejz Sapkowski? So I'm looking for help. Anyone who wants to team up on this with a new modder, give me pointers when I need them (shouldn't be that frequently, I'm a pretty hands-on learner), and generally have fun with this idea. Ideas for the witchers guild: A few NPCs; guild leader, trainers for armor, weapons, alchemy, and spells Dogs too, because what's a monster hunter without his trusty dog to sniff out the monsters? Maybe have the NPCs make a bit of fun of the Dawnguard, for not having the guts to take on anything bigger than vampires. Have fun with it. Some radiant monster hunting quests would be cool too, as well as a main storyline. Anyway, if anyone wants in on this, just leave a comment. Thanks. -Paul
