  1. I feel your pain. When I first installed the game I was getting ~20FPS. Took about a week of tweaking my system to get up to a nice 55FPS average (min 49 - max 63) Windows runs a lot of services in the background. Turning off the unneeded ones can help with your system's performance. There's a good guide for optimizing windows services here: http://www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/black-vipers-windows-7-service-pack-1-service-configurations/ here's some other links that helped me... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/articles/1153/? http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-tweak-guide#14 http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=354301 http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Installation PS: Ditch McAfee. It's bloatware crap.
  2. Hey folks I'm using XPMS-E skeleton, RaceMenu and Dual Sheath Redux. I'm having a problem with my weapons looking ridiculously huge on my character's back. There is a weapon scale slider in RaceMenu, but it only applies to the right-hand weapon. Seems to me that this must be a fairly common combination of mods. Has anyone ever made a slider for left-hand weapons? If not, is there anyone feeling up to the challenge of making one? ...or failing that, Can anyone link me to some tutorial resources so I can figure out how to make one myself? Thanks for reading.
  3. What a coincidence. I'm also experiencing this invisible werewolf bug. Anyone else out there experience this bug and figured out how to fix it? UPDATE: UPDATE 2:
  4. Thanks, I'll try that. I've searched high and low on the nexus for something that did the job. I found that ECE has camera control, but that function is not compatible with RaceMenu... meaning I'm s**t out of luck. I have discovered, however, that if I enter 'tfc' before 'showracemenu' then the camera will stay where I put it during character editing. Good enough.
  5. Friends, if you're like me you spend an inordinate amount of time in the race menu getting your character to look just right. Have you ever gotten motion sickness or just plain dizzy from the constant swaying back-and-forth of your character as you attempt to sculpt the perfect jaw-line? Well I have, and it gave me an idea for a mod. Since I don't have any scripting knowledge, I would like to share it with the community and see if I could garner some interest...or maybe just get pointed in the right direction to see this happen. The mod would be called "Stop Fidgeting Dammit". It would accomplish 3 goals: 1. Make your character absolutely motionless in the race menu. 2. Increase the zoom out function so as to be able to see your entire character from head to toe. 3. Allow you to rotate your character 360° so you can see that awesome back tattoo overlay. After some poking around in the CK and Papyrus wikis and checking out the functions available to modders, I believe that this wouldn't be too difficult to achieve... but I also see that I'm over my head when it comes to working with those tools. So, what do you think? Good idea? Maybe there is a mod that already does this and I just missed it? Any and all feedback is appreciated. Even if you just want to tell me to go wiz up a rope. cheers~!
