I found that in Oblivion that the infamy system is pointless. Someone should create a mod where once a player's infamy reaches a certain level, they get a criminal nickname that would get a Black Horse Courier article written about them. While optional, it would be really cool if the NPCs could recognize the player with that nickname. If you do create this mod, please make it compatible with vanilla Oblivion.
