I swear, this game is so inspiring. I've tried dabbling in mods with New Vegas, but even after following the stellar Viva New Vegas guide, I was still unable to get myself to a point that I wanted to play and also remain stable. I don't blame the guide, I was no doubt screwing up. But after spending about a week straight and still failing, I gave up. But then Cyberpunk comes along and it's beautiful and fun and I can get into my own V's head as I play them. And then I started mucking about with the mods available and lo and behold I'm able to run them without losing stability. So now my brain is sparked with an idea that I wanna try and it'll probably lead down a rabbit hole: I want to try utilizing eye cyberware in a similar way as I've seen arm cyberware be done for Arasaka and some of the armor awesome arm replacers. I want to do what I assume was intended with eye cyberware and change eye color/textures with it. I've seen some great designs already, but I feel like there has to be a better way than just replacing the standard eye color or texture from character creation. So uh... I guess my question is, where do I start to figure out how to replace something?

So I've never played New Vegas, but I'm wanting to jump in using a comprehensive set of mods for a really solid experience.This is my first foray into modding and I've pretty much followed Gopher's set of videos to start with (sans the quest vid). I've since added a couple things I liked the look of along the way (such as the Pip Boy 2500) but I think at this point I'm just looking for a solid, comprehensive go-to list so I can finally start playing the damn game lol. I feel like I'm pretty computer proficient so if I've got to tweak .ini files or move things around I can follow along and figure things out. Idk, frozen with indecision and fear of overdoing it. I just want my first run of the game to look and feel as good as I can get it. If it helps with recommendation, I'm not on an entirely budget machine. I'm running the highest res NCMs pack and Ojo Bueno with no issues at all on an R5 3600 with (don't laugh) an RX 5500XT 8GB and 16GB 3200mHz RAM with plenty of storage. Thanks in advance for help or recommendations! And apologies if this is in the wrong place. Out of the seven options I had, this seemed the most appropriate.
