Nope. Only site giving me any trouble is the skyrim nexus. Is there something I can do about this if it's an IP problem?

I understand that but this problem remains the same no matter what time of the day or the week I try. Happens on weekends, weekdays, night, morning, always the same 10 second cycle no matter what. If it was just the server overload, the problem wouldn't occur every single time I try or at least would change it's pattern, right?

I dont have any problem whatsoever with other nexus sites but with the skyrim one, I can only browse for about 10 seconds before I lose connection. Then I have to wait at least 30 seconds before I can reload the page I was on. After that, I have another 10 or so seconds and the process repeats. It's extremely hard to download mods this way. I have no idea what's wrong, tried deleting cookies, reinstalling browser, trying other browsers. I'M currently on Chrome but tried Firefox and IE as well, same results in all 3. Again, this only occurs with the skyrimnexus, all other nexus sites work fine. Help, please.

I think very generally speaking, skyrim's biggest problem is how small a leap it is from oblivion. It refines everything that made that game great, of course and adds some new elements too but overall, oblivion was a bigger step forward from morrowind. I dont know, maybe they thought it's best to play it safe, maybe they're holding out on the big things for DLC.

So all these video cards happen to go down the sink at the same time when skyrim comes out? Talk about a coincidence. Btw, someone said it's a problem with how the game cant use vertex texture fetch properly on some cards. Up to bethesda to fix it.

It helped a lot, I played for 3 hours without this glitch and even after that, it only appeared once and went away automatically after 2-3 seconds. Thanks!

Might sound extreme but I've radically decreased the occurance of the stretching glitches by manually downsizing plant textures to a quarter of their original size. I still get these glitches but maybe once every 30 or so minutes and even then, pausing for 3 seconds makes it go away. So putting the texture option to low did nothign at all but manually doing it and still playing on high helps? What? F..king ridiculous but at least I can sort of enjoy playing now. Also, my FPS in towns increased by 5 after this. o_O What's going on in this game? Screw you, Bugthesda.

I dont want to sound ungrateful but the same thing has been said by other people lots of times in this topic and it didnt work. You think noone else thought of drivers?

The ini tweaks only make the stretching a little less frequent for me. As for the drivers, they dont support my legacy card, so I cant even try them. I remember that the same problem was eventually sorted out with an official patch for oblivion so it didnt even need the ini tweak any longer. Is it realistic to expect the thanksgiving patch to fix this? Does Bethesda even read these f***ing forums? Oh, I guess the barely-even-noticable texture problems on xbox (5 people are having) are more urgent.
