Yep, I know there's flour in-game, two of the recipes use it, though the it's really rare and would be hard to make the recipes, hence why Bethesda added the option to buy it from a vendor in Point Lookout. I was thinking if people wanted it I could add it to the mod to make things easier for people who don't own the DLC.
  2. hey, thanks for the offer, I'll probably cap the number of food items to 8 due to the menu length, but I could probably do with a mesh for cheese (if I get around to the milking brahmin idea), I can come up with textures myself though. I might also release a master version so you can come up with your own mod version and add in new food.
  3. VDSC VTR-003-101 The VDSC adds a new cooking element to Fallout 3, allowing you to gather recipes from books and cook new food items with the Cook-o-matic 3000. This mod adds: The Cook-o-matic 3000, a new house item which you can be purchased from the stores in Megaton and Tenpenny. Two new books, The Joy of Cooking for One and How to Eat Rat. Which can be found throughout the Wasteland. Upon reading, you will granted a new recipe to use with the Cook-o-matic 3000. Five new food items, along with the ability to create 2 recipes already in-game (Mississippi Quantum Pie and Mole Rat Wonder Meat). Master Chef, A new quest perk which you gain once collecting all the recipes. Two new loading screens. Plus VDSC-Manual.pdf, game manual (see screenshots for images). DOWNLOAD FROM NEXUS: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3495/3746404166_d434207e75_o.jpg OTHER MODS IN THIS SERIES: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2219/3746403788_b21eef0f16_o.jpg USE: Once the mod is running in game, all you need to do is head to one of the two stores which sell house goods, either in Tenpenny Towers or Megaton, from there you can purchase the Cook-o-matic 3000. The Cook-o-matic 3000 works just like the workbench or chemistry set, just clicking it to activate it. You can also move the Cook-o-matic 3000 around by picking it up with the Z-key should you wish to relocate it elsewhere in your home. The Cook-o-matic 3000 can only cook items once you've discovered a recipe. This can be done by reading the Joy of Cooking For One and How to Eat Rat books which are scattered around the Wasteland, you'll have to keep a sharp eye out to find them all. You can also gain recipes by completing quests such as the The Nuka-Cola Challenge. By finding all the recipes you'll also be granted the Master Chef perk, which will triple the amount of food cooked in the Cook-o-matic 3000. FUTURE: Should this mod prove popular I have several ideas to extend it further, some of these may or may not happen. Add a perk which allows you to automatically gain all the recipes (similar to the warmonger perk) Add a portable version of the Cook-o-matic 3000 Add recipes from DLC (such as moonshine) Add new cooking perks such as the ability to cook from ovens and even milk Brahmin! Ability to upgrade the Cook-o-matic 3000 with your food sanitizer Add flour substitute (such as 'I can't believe it's not Flour') for people who don't own Point Lookout Add new flour icon to replace it's junk icon COMPATIBILITY: This mod modifies both the Tenpenny and Megaton player homes, any mod that also places items in the corner next to the workbench will cause a conflict and should not be used. This mod is designed for vanilla games so will be unbalanced if used with overhaul mods which drastically change the way food replenishes the player's health. Some of the cookbooks appear at time-sensitive events during the game, so it's best to play this mod during a new game to ensure you'll be able to find them all. BUGS: I'm hoping there aren't any really but this is my first big mod (well bigger than a perk mod anyway), so if you come across any bugs, big or small (yes even typos) please contact me and I will address the issue ASAP.   4. Hey, I'm brand new to this board, I'm normally on the bethesda forums and found my way here on the slow long journey looking into modding weapons. I've got some ideas for schematic junk weapons which I want to turn into a polished mod with around 5-6 weapons (ideally), here's the first weapon I have in mind....The quad pistol: http://www.flickr.com/photos/piratephil/3643900340/ made up of .32 pistols, crutch, rake and surgical tubing. It's a HUUGE favour but I'm looking for someone to help make the nif files ready for texturing. You'll get full credits when the project is finished. Is anyone out there willing/able to help? Thanks.
