Anyone know what this is? Black smoke with orange and purple sparks. I've searched this whole topic and have not found this. I think it's a dragonborn effect. When I disable dragonborn plugin in nexus this effect goes away http://i62.tinypic.com/15db2xl.jpg

Wow! This is a really long thread. I've tried everything suggested here yet still have that black fog aura thing around my character. Sexchange, recycleactor and the race change remove the aura- however after I save, close and reload my save- the aura is back. Any thoughts? I'm going to try to remove all my mods next to get rid of this thing. Will be a pain but hoping that fixes the issue.

I have this same glitch- and like with you it's very annoying in 1st person as the smoke obstructs your view. I've tried Cure all batch file, sexchange, recycleactor, change race, resurrect. Sexchange and recycleactor remove it. However after going to first person or immediately saving, quitting and reloading effect is back. Did you find a fix for this?
