I have no problem if somebody else wants to start with advantages--and there are plenty of mods that do just that, from minor ones to major gifts. Myself, though, I prefer my characters to start without any help and proceed to make their own way. In this fashion, they get more involved in the game world, discovering things and making use of them. This has been a major theme in computer RPGs right from the 1980s: start with nothing, and explore.

Sounds, then, like the problem may have happened due to a certain configuration of mods, and has now corrupted the save game. What configuration it is we won't know until we know your mod loading order.
One other possibility: are you using quicksave and/or autosave?
-
Fonger, but why should we assume the worst, and take the most painful, long course of uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game, plus all mods? Let's try other stuff, first. There are many possible reasons this could be happening. And if none of them do...? Uninstall/reinstall it is.
-
that directly implies you've simply got UAC infestation (its a gift from Microsoft) solved by uninstalling the game COMPLETELY and re-installing it someplace - anyplace - else
He/she stated UAC was off.
Clasam, first off: ditch Cheydinhal Petshop. ; It causes problems for a number of other mods, and development was discontinued.; Second: are you using a mod managing tool such as OBMM or Wrye Bash? If not, I'd strongly suggest the latter. It can spot a lot of issues such as mods missing parent mods, etc. Give it a try. Third: be sure you have the latest OOO version, and reinstall that. Don't worry about uninstalling it, first.

Not until you list your mods, in loading order.
Also, you might want to explain what you changed in your lineup between the time everything worked well, and that "recently" point you describe, above.
-
Avoid using quicksave, as well. Like autosave, it's been known to cause issues of file corruption.

Thanks for answering guys.
He is actually set to Essential. I made him in GECK and I do have some experience with creating npc's,
You're too modest. You've done some fine ones, and I should have recognized your name at once. :)
Are you running any mannequin mods? I know it's pretty absurd to go the limit on these (256, I think, but I slept poorly) though if you do, items on companions/mannequins will start to vanish.
-
If you want to study how it's done, check out the scripts in Companion Vilja v4. It's added this feature.
-
I'd only add to David's excellent comments that there are some non-standard companions set to essential who will keep a "memory" of the clothes you've given them, and retain these after they've risen from the dead. I know Viconia, Saerileth, and Vilja (when she's set to essential) do, and that Arren doesn't. If a companion mod doesn't state in its description whether this is the case, it's a good idea to ask the modder.
-
What version of OSR are you using? Is it the latest solid one, or a beta? You might also want to check your Heap setting.
-
HeyYou's got a point. If the crashes follow waiting in a cell, it sounds like the game's running a delayed caching of files that's unsuccessful.
-
Oops forgot about that lock times feature lol my bad. As for missing tags that you have to hunt down, I didn't think about that so thank you for correcting me there. :)
No problem. Wrye Bash is a lot to keep track of. :)

If you're happy with your current mod order, you may not want BOSS changing it. While it's very good, there's more than one way to order things correctly to suit our needs. Assuming that's the case, right-click on the bar above your mods under the Mods tab in Wrye Bash, and click Lock Times. That'll prevent BOSS from rearranging your mods, while still generating the textfile log of suggested changes and all bash tags.
Tag the mods according to the log and you're good. Don't worry about the mods without the tags, they don't need it.This isn't quite true. BOSS is an excellent tool, but there are still quite a number of mods that haven't been entered into its database, as well as mods that change with new versions, and new tags. I used it about 6 weeks ago, and had 20+ mods that BOSS didn't know about. Some of these may in fact need bash tags. It's laborious, but the only real way to figure out the tags necessary is to hunt down the Nexus (or other site) page for each mod like this, and if the info isn't there, ask.

It sounds like a script misfiring. Check out Duke Patrick's Basic Script Silencer.

You followed the instructions in the MMM installer readme textfile to the letter, correct? It says exactly what you need, and how to install. The whole process is automated, with popups that ask you questions, and add the right ESPs according to your responses. You're not by any chance using Win 7, are you?
<br><br>You mention also previously trying to install it, and failing. Did you remove all the files from those installations?
-
Have you read the discussion on the mod page to see if there were any reports of a similar problem? If you did and there weren't, did you report it there to the modder for their response?
If they didn't respond, please list all your mods in loading order. It may help us sort out what's getting in the way. :)

A potion or spell of Cure Common Disease should do the trick. Your character can buy them, or make them if they're alchemically inclined.
-
I suggest you try loading that saved game without BHC in your mod lineup. At worst, the game won't respond, and at best, you'll show up at an inn in the Imperial City where NPCs (and PCs) go when loading areas for them aren't properly linked. Then you can simply exit the inn, and continue on your way.
Take seriously the suggestions about cleaning dirty edits. It's not that one mod like that is going to cause a lot of problems, but when you get quite a few, and each has several dozen, they add up. It affects the overall stability of the game. Here is a TES4Edit mod cleaning tutorial. It doesn't harm anything, if you follow the directions. It only removes duplicate cells in mods that already exist in the game. They aren't needed, and they can be safely left off unless there's a very good reason to leave them in.
You might also want to consider adding Wrye Bash to your utilities. It not only lets you see some Oblivion mod-based problems at a glance, it safely merges some mods (only useful really when you run a ton of them, like me), and has a lot of configurable options that affect gameplay. You can get it here. And this is a pictorial guide to starting up your use of it.

Oblivion was designed to appeal to a younger age group than Morrowind: FPS (as opposed to die-based) combat model, insane physics model (to make bodies fly upon death), plenty of quest-based hand-holding, screen compass and "go here to find X," less involvement of society in the lore, regenerating dungeons, treasure, shop goods, and enemies linked almost entirely to character level, bland scenery, etc. This isn't because it's a bad game. It's simply because Bethsoft wanted a much bigger market. Between the redesign, the new playing media, and the gung-ho PR, they succeeded.
Spiced up with a bunch of mods such as Frans, MMM, Vampire Hunting, and the like, Oblivion becomes the kind of game many of us who enjoyed Morrowind would take a lot of pleasure in . But it wasn't really aimed as a product at us. They certainly hoped we'd buy it, given that every sale counts, but we weren't the gold ring on the merry-go-round.

We'll probably be able to help you better if we know exactly what mods you're using, and their loading order. Could be almost any mod or group of mods interacting in any unpredictable way.
-
Glad to hear it. :) By utilities, though, I meant such programs as OBSE, OBGE, Fast Exit, etc, that don't load as mods in the game, but are still added by the player and affect it.
-
Please list your mods and utility add-ons, the former in loading order. Also: are you using Win7? And how much RAM have you got?
-
How do you mean, male-related mods? Just graphics? Because there are several male body-type mods out there, such as All Male Bodies, which offers 12 different body types. There are also a host of male-based armors.

Fixed. Thanks for the heads-up :)
Thank you, for fixing it so quickly. :)

Need some suggestions
