[Question about the Windows 10 update/driver issue.]

Just did my windows 10 update for this week, still broken. What's that fix that was being talked about?

Well do you have a key that you are planning to use specifically to add remove? If you could trigger to open a workbench menu and pause the world it might work as a clunky way for now until you can bypass the screen and just have it switch on off.

That's the thing. I have 0 mods installed right now. Just the extender and fresh install.

What version of Fallout 4 are you using? Have you verified the integrity of the game cache? Have you closed and reopened Steam in the system tray? Try it, I have to do it somethimes when it updates wrong. Have you ran the Fallout 4 Launcher? Have you made a Bethesda.net account and without using F4SE or INI edits, have you logged into Bethesda.net from in game at least once. It has been a requirement for a few versions now. Have you uninstalled your game and made a new Steam Library outside of program files by going to Settings -> Downloads and then installing to the new location?

 

I have indeed signed into Beth.net because I thought it was going to be something a dumb as when GFWL was around. There are only issues when F4SE comes into play, and seeing as mods need it, kind of not cool.

I'm currently waiting for F4SE for an update.

I use 1.6.9 and I have the current update for F4SE and Place Everywhere. There are mods that are crashing the game because of Bethesda's changes to Fallout4.esm. So don't wait for something to happen because nothing will magically fix things. Disable the mods in blocks of 5 or whatever you need to do to fine the mod or mods that cause the crash.

Guys how do I create a Fallout4Custom.ini ?

You usually right click in the Windows Explorer and go to New -> Text Document in the drop down. However, you do have to name the file Fallout4Custom.ini instead of Fallout4Custom.txt.

 

I tried both methods of custom and regular and F4SE still CTDs on me.

I was having exactly the same problem - it may not be the same as you but my issues were caused because I copied the test folder into my Data - the instructions didn't tell me to do that - it told me to copy the dll's & the exe - I thought I was being clever - when I went into Data/Scripts & Data/Scripts/Source and removed all the stuff added in the test folder - hey presto game fixed - what I get for trying to be a smart arse!

i just took a peak, all i have in my source folder not from my fresh install is my F4SE.psc I don't think we had the same issues.

@schwartzpedro just tested your theory and you're correct. F4SE crashes out still. However, it's not NMM as I can launch from there with the regular exe.

I'm still in the same boat as @ClockworkWriter I'm currently waiting for F4SE for an update. I at first thought it was one of my mods but it is in fact F4SE and the INI files. I launched without any use of F4SE and as soon as I added it crashed. I'm not the greatest computer scientist so let's all put our heads together on this please, we're probably not the only two.

I'll have to try reinstalling without UIs, right now i seem to get a boot from regular launcher but can't even get to the main menu without CTD since the patch yesterday.

Alright I've been having really bad CTD issues for the last while. I autosave on a 10 minute timer otherwise it's disabled. Everything starts off well until I get to Dawnstar then things go CTD everytime i enter a new place.

 

I've got an i7 4700 series for my CPU 12GB RAM and a Geforce GTX 750ti 2GB

 

 

This is my load order done by LOOT currently. I have 149 mods installed. Which one is causing my CTDs everytime i enter a new area? Hi-res patch was disabled for my 2k texture pack.

Have you guys ever watched the documentary Atomic Cafe (1982)? It's a documentary about the cultural impact of the nuclear bombs. It might be cool to get a few things out of the content that is from news reels and old propaganda.
