  1. Good morning! I'm troubleshooting my cumbersome load list, and trying to run down errors posted to my Papyrus log (Oldrim). I can find errors/warnings that include a reference ID just fine (using TES5Edit), but there are some that just provide a text string. Is there a way to use that tool, or another, to search the mods for a text string? That way I can at least see WHICH mod is throwing the error. TES5Edit is amazing and powerful, but I struggle with the interface constantly. I tried using a filter, but either I didn't set it up correctly or it just didn't work. A couple of quick examples: Function GetEffectMagnitudes in the empty state on type Ingredient does not exist. Function will not be flagged as callable from tasklets. - I'd like to be able to search for "GetEffectMagnitudes" Cannot open store for class "ddunequiphandlerscript", missing file? - and here I'd like to be able to search for "ddunequiphandlerscript" That way, even if I don't totally understand the error, I at least know where it's coming from, and can use that to help determine a go/no-go on the mod. Thanks! Rochndil, already pruning some stuff...
  2. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I didn't THINK there was a technical reason to run in a window, but as I'm way late to the party, I wanted to make sure there wasn't something important I had missed. After combing through all the great mod offerings, I'm happy to be finally playing the game. Tonight I hope to buy my first house (and drop some of my junk) and grab my first permanent companion. Rochndil, who still has to troubleshoot a minor SkyUI issue...
  3. Greetings! I'm new to Skyrim (but not to the Elder Scrolls series), and had a question about all the mods/tweaks/info I keep seeing about running the game in a window/borderless window. Why? It seems to run just fine full-screen. I've actually had the game up literally all day (paused most of the time, but still) without a single crash. AND that's a heavily-modded game. Is it just because you can't reliably <ALT>-<TAB> out to check UESPWiki to check quest data or something? If so, that's a real non-issue since when I'm playing an ES game, I squash everything in the background and close all non-essential programs anyway. Rochndil, looking forward to looting (err, burying respectfully) more dragon victims after he gets home...
