So I said screw it and reinstalled optimized textures pack again and then loaded the save. Stuttering was virtually gone extept in some heavily loading areas but yeah. Loads screens went a up a few seconds, but Maybe the base game assets are just poorly optimized and sorting through that and HD textures are the flaw of the game? in any case I also remembered to hit the reset archive invalidation button in NMM so they actually didn't crash my saves this time. Why can't this game just work ALL the time....

i hear you. I caught on the bandwagon early, but since these texture loading problems I have just been playing without much textures except a few I like the most. Honestly, though I just tried using the Havoc wrench texture and the loading of a save game kept crashing until I uninstalled it. This is messed up.

Yes, if you read through several posts in here about crashing. All causes seem to be related to how the game is loading textures of some kind.

i too found all I could do is start a new game. As that seems to be the only way around it.

It has to be with how textures are loaded for sure. I have found removing large texture packs like optimization packs and Grafix drastically increased the likelihood of avoiding the crashes. Not sure if the textures become corrupt as it seems the more conflicting textures that are present that need overwrites the more likely the crashes occur. in any case you're not the only one who has this issue. Also I can start a new game with no problem and play for a long period in a new game as well.

I have found if you are using texture packs to systematically remove them from the most recent installed. Or just remove the largest ones first.

Well, I thought I had found the culprit with the number of textures in the data file. started uninstalling them. Started to work again, but it happened again after using Bigalo's config tool. ugh..All I changed in the config was to allow infinite ammo for NPCs. sick of fists fights lol. but most of the cause seems to be the number of textures needing to be loaded in a game save or even fast traveling. going to try and optimze the hard disk for texture files folder and see if that helps. Well, I think I found the solution. Given the number of texture mods I narrowed down one possible explanation is that one texture mod is conflicting in some way with another. Either mismatch texture sizes or a bad file causing the crash. Mainly I found the most luck in removing Grafix texture packs from my installs. Now don't get me wrong I don't think on a standalone basis there is any problems with this texture pack, but for some reason it crashes when another texture pack is using some of the same textures. I guess this one is solved by no one other than myself, but honestly if you're having similar issues with loading saves it may save time to just remove texture packs if you have them. Load order need not apply.

It seems there's is either A. combination of mods corrupting saves overtime, or B. compatibility issue somewhere. I have carefully checked mods to see if there were patches and kept them updated with the DLC. i also use hard world enb but switching from olympus enb didn't seem to have any impact. if you spot something in there let me know. I have steadily removed lighting mods and see there was no impact on the crashing. I also attempted using loot. Same results. hmm...still nothing. <Corrected> I went into the launcher options and switched to windowed mode and it showed up.... :psyduck: I guess AMD card makes a difference in a mod somehow...?!!?!?!? Well whatever it doesn't make sense but it is working now.

I disabled the ones not recognized and I still get the missing menu.

I ran the game after following STEP and it worked fine. Then I ran boss after following STEP to make sure I had the right order. Now the main menu ui wont even show up. Everyone remembers this antagonist in FO3 and the option to let him live. well, why not in NEW VEGAS. maybe brewing some plot for the enclave OR wants to start over with the NCR. Who knows. It would be a great crossover between the 2 games.

So I use a manual save and open it up to capabilities of controls go buggy.I try switching to another weapon and the animation freezes with arms down and I have no capability to use the weapon the pip-boy or the main menu. I tried turning some mods off and it doesn't seem to affect this bug any way. I tried buidable bots off, running perk off sprint mod off. I tried different orders. etc. see the load order and tell me what ya think..
