  1. started playing fallout 4 again and iv realized there aren't a lot of mods that add food and especially edit recipes that will work in survival mode. most of the bigger mods have not been updated since late 2015 or early 2016 so they tend to gut survival foods if using mods like Logical Recipes or Wastelander's Cookbook I have also noticed that cannibalism in vanilla and mods are usually only cosmetic or effect perks. the only big cannibalism mod i found was True Cannibal overhaul again not updated before survival. The mod I would love to see would be a combination of these two styles of mods one that add a small amount of ingredients (mostly milk) and new combinations of base ingredients as new recipes as well as giving more realistic and proper amounts to these recipes and vanilla ones with proper survival difficulty rates. and adds a new and improved dimension to cannibalism so instead of (or as well as) eating a corpse where it lies (very unhealthy) an option to collect humanoid parts and cook for later with new recipes and survival rates. some negative effects to eating raw "long pork" could be lose of stats and movement speed and eventually death over long term, and high disease rate and radioactivity (depending whom you eat) this could also apply to the base vanilla cannibal perk. while eating cooked people stew would have a lower disease and as long as you keep away from those pesky brains (much how cows get mad cow) then lower risk of death. i think most importantly would be an mod for food and cannibalism that is up to date with changes made with survival
  2. generally i use FNVedit to go through my load order and if it stops partway through read the last mod it tried to load and what other files it tryed to call and arrange loadorder accordingly
  3. all nvse files are placed into the main fonv folder (not DATA) and then new vegas should be launched with the NVSE_loader.exe afterwards type GetNVSEVersion into console to see if it was loaded correctly and that its up to date
  4. are you launching new vegas from your nvse_loader file? if not try that also type this GetNVSEVersion into console to see if you are running nvse and the correct version don't want to spoil willows location for anyone who doesn't already know i wouldnt try to manually add mods unless you know your way around them. usually i let NMM add my mods unless there is A. no NMM support or B. it just wont work no matter what. also check that willow is checked off in your load order. many times iv added a new mod and for whatever it was added unchecked and i didnt bother looking before starting
  5. i seem to have a problem where traders (cliff in particular) restock within minutes of trading with them last. i am unsure if its all the traders but i am able to confirm it is happening with cliff as i keep buying ammo and selling him stuff just to talk to him a few seconds later to have him no longer have anything i sold him and have full stocks of ammo and other items. this has caused him to lose the key to the storage room. im unsure if it is caused by one of my mods (i use many) or just a game bug but besides this small problem all my mods seem to run together with few problems here is my load order if it helps. 6. no i switched to medium and it still does it. im also using the 4gb enabler and nvse. iv just decided to start from a whole new install and see if i cant get it back to working order before i try again. this time starting with medium and using some of the suggestions such as your stutter remover suggestion and the nvec version of more perks to hopefuly clear up some of my load list. my problem is mainly that after only a few minutes my games ram usage can go from a stable 500k to over 1.5 million kb of ram from just walking around in goodsprings on a new save....so i figure there has gotta be something i broke or such that is causing this iv had steam delete my local content as well as deleted the fallout new Vegas folder from my steam directory...im almost done re-installing so im going to make those changes after and see if it helps fortunately there was only a few mods that i installed manually (mostly just texture replaces and a few other mods)
  7. after starting a new save with medium instead of large and it crashes right outside of the store in goodsprings atleast now im only geting 1.3 million kb memory usage before the crash
  8. cool ill try some of that now..... also i know about the "limit" for mods as i myself reached mine at around 150 (started losing textures and such) so im down now to about 140 also yes i have only 1gb of vram ill try medium see if that fixes it and thanks for the merged more perks....should free up some space for MORE mods
  9. I recently started having a problem that after loading one of my saves after a few minutes (10 at most) i crash to desktop every time. i know for a fact its not one of my mods as i have used boss and fnvedit to check if a .esp was loading before its master and have found no problems and even went as fare as to make a patch. i run fonv using NMM for my loading of mods with archive invalidating on and have NVSE installed correctly (typing getnvseversion in console brings back the correct version) i use 4gbnewvegas to actually launch my game after loading i use my task manager to see the amount of memory i am using and it is already up to about 1,600,000 kb (almost 1.6gb) soon after (im assuming when it hits 2gb) my game crashes. isn't 4gbnv suppose to make it to where i could use all 4gb without the game running out of memory if anyone knows why it is that my game is using such huge amounts of memory before i even get into new vegas (which should make it much worse as i have freeside and strip open mods and repopulated wasteland) my final question is if using a mod that changes the timescale to 1:1 would make it to where things that change over a period of in-game time (merchants refreshing, corpses disappearing etc.) would make the game have so much required memory having to hold on to old info like all the stuff i sold the merchants that it would run my ram requirements through the roof. my system specs are: OS: windows 7 64bit processor: AMD phenom II x4 ~3.0ghz memory: 8gb graphics card : AMD Radeon 7770 my load order: im also using NMCs texture pack set to large. im aware that it is a VERY large mod list but i have never had a problem getting through the main quest until today and haven't made any major change to my mods for a while (besides turning willownv off (along with files required for it) and using niner instead (not currently using him as having to many companions just makes an hours worth of pushing to get through doorways (someone should make a mod where companions move out of the way if pushed :P) any help would be appreciated
  10. i too can say that i have seen this same problem with a number close to 150. for a long time i hade problems where i would be walking and suddenly lose the texture for a gun or an entire mesh and alsways thought it was a newer mod i had added. i even tried contacting the maker of said mod and he reassured me his mod couldn't be the problem as it didn't alter the things i was losing. after removing some less then necessary mods i soon realized that after i got it down past 150 (im unsure what my actual limit is ) that i could play fine with all the mods i want
