  1. So what is this mods.bethesda.net site? I don't even have a mods option in my game menu.
  2. Adding the stars to plugins.txt seems to have done the trick. Oddly I didn't have to do that on my own PC to get mods to work.
  3. I've tried adding those lines to Fallout4Custom.ini, still no joy. I don't have a plugins.txt in my Documents folder, but I did find one in AppData which already listed all my mods, though I haven't added asterixes yet. There is no "Mods" option on my game start page.
  4. I've downloaded several mods for my brother including Settlement Frontiers and Functional Weapon Racks, Unfortunately none of them seem to be working. I've dumped the files in the Fallout 4 data folder, and used the Nexus Mod Manager to activate the esp files but nothing is happening. I've tried adding folders to sResourceDataDirsFinal in Fallout.ini and added bEnableFileSelection=1 to Fallout4Prefs.ini I also tried adding bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 and blanking sResourceDataDirsFinal. Still nothing. Any ideas guys?
  5. I've been merging some mods using the FNVPlugin, and a question occured to me. I've noticed the BSA files always have the same name as their corresponding ESP files. Is this a requirement, or just a naming convention? If it's a requirement it occurs to me that merging mods that have corresponding BSA files could stop them from working correctly.
  6. I think I get it now. Thanks guys.
  7. Merging the mods seems to have done the trick. Thanks very much.
  8. Apparently there are issues when merging mods that use different master lists. Is this not the case?
  9. I was reading in the FNV Plugin comments that it's best to edit the mods with FNVEdit first so they all have the same master list. Since I've never used FNVEdit, any tips?
  10. Nuts. I don't suppose there's a setting I can adjust that will allow more? Or is it more dependant on hardware?
  11. I mostly play ranged characters. So there's no way to directly compare the values? It sounds like only those who are very familiar with the inner workings of the 2 systems can really make any kind of decision regarding which armor is better to wear.
  12. G'day guys, I'm going through a whole butt load of mods my brother wants on his Fallout NV and I've run into some confusing issues. The problem doesn't start straight away either, it doesn't seem to kick in until you've run around for a bit. When I hit Esc and choose Save, all the save slots say "Corrupt". There's also texture issues. My weapon turns invisible and loses it's firing sound and my body has a giant exclamation point around it. Other textures have also been replaced by the exclamation, eg some stuff in Doc Mitchell's house including his nurses (mod) entire body except like her head, hands and feet. I also stumbled across a corpse I'd raided earlier that had turned invisible except for head, hands and feet. I've tried deactivating the most recent mods added, which appeared to fix it. But then when I started reactivating them to find the culprit by trial & error the results were conflicting. I'd add some mods, get the error, remove them, problem gone, add some different mods, problem returns. Has anyone run across problems like this before? Could someone point a finger at a possible culprit? Is it possible the cause is the sheer number of mods being applied?
  13. I've noticed a few of the armor mods here use DR instead of DT. I'm sure you have your reasons, but how are we supposed to determine which armor offers better protection if they aren't using the same system?
  14. I'm not creating a companion, I'm downloading some other people have created. Many of them specify that you need a particular companion creator installed to use them.
  15. G'day guys. I was looking though the many companion mods you have available for download and I notice there are several different companion creators kicking around. Since the custom companions seem to need the creator used to make them, i'm wondering if having multiple installed will cause any compatibility problems. Some of the companions I was looking at require EZ Companion, NCCS or RR Companions.
