  1. SO it would stand to reason. I may have to get this started on my own if it doesnt catch any more interest soon, but even then, if my schedule doesnt improve, it' s unlikely I could release anything until mid summer myself. Curse you USN!
  2. Not familier with any of the three... most likely because they don't really enhance the game as change it. My idea was to situate this somewhere between Markarth and Windhelm, where there is a HUGE expanse of wilderness. If you were gonna start a new town with the least impact on existing holds, that would be my best guess. The general concept here would be somewhat of a mix of what HF gave us in terms of building, combined with some of the settlement building ideas of the Suikoden RPG series... especially the first one in my mind. Anyhow, we'l see if anyone who has a clue would be willing to run with this. I wish I had time to persue it myself, but with being currently attached to a sea-going command, I simply dont have the time.
  3. First, my apologies if this is being done elsewhere. That said... The idea behind the ability to build our own place using HearthFire is not a bad one, but a part of me thinks we can go it one better. Or maybe fifty or sixty better. Let's see if this gets some gears working: "Dear Dragonborn. You just saved an entire province, and, likely, the entire world from almost certain Draconian Domination. Instead of ignoring you now that you've put Alduin out of business, how about I award you something worth your efforts? By my power as (insert appropriate leader type here), I do hearby create the new Hold of *insert Name here* and name you as it's first Jarl." Basically, why stop with one or two houses in someone ELSE'S hold, when we could, theoretically, build up an entire town on our own? Sure, it starts small, not unlike the homes that HF showed us. But as it grows bigger, you gain the ability to attract your own villagers... recruit a blacksmith... need a General Store? On top of that, as you (if you) finish out the other major quest lines, those become represented as well. Thieves? THey got a local office. Companions? Welcome to thier only non-Jervaskkar Chapterhouse! THe Mage's COllege? A new house of learning to make them respectable again. Dark Brotherhood? A new resting place for the Night Mother. All of this should be possible, if not even more. Honestly, if I had even the slightest clue about modding, I'd be more than happy to help out here. No question it'd be a huge endeavor, but if you though making your own house was heart warming, how much more an entire town? THoughts?
