  1. From your "best 10 perks"-topic here:

Mage Armor (Alteration 30) - The three levels of this perk gradually increase the amount of armor granted from alteration spells. If you're playing a pure mage, or meleeing in mage garb, this perk is for you. But much like Mystic binding, it requires you to buff yourself with armor spells before combat. Not hard to manage, but can be cumbersome to some players.

Would that be nice to include in the build? Might be nice for making your powerhouse even more powerful for those fights with more enemies than you can count :)

  2. I think I already made about 25 characters, lvl'd half of 'em to mid 20-30 and start over... reasons?

    01. I am a warrior, I want a mage.

    02. I am a mage, I want a thief.

    03. etc.

    04. I want to play an evil Altmer.

    05. I don't like that Altmer.

    06. "Trouble, kinsman?" annoys me.

    07. I am a paladin-kinda-guy, I want a battlemage.

    08. Made a breton battlemage, don't like his looks.

    09. Why do they always see my assassin after I shoot an arrow from 200 ft. distance?

    10. Play a "goodie-two-shoes", told self to NOT join the dark brotherhood.

    11. Joined dark brotherhood, crap...

    12. Loaded earlier save, found out that was hours ago... make new char.

    13. Play a sneaky bastard, still give to the poor. There goes the reputation.

    14. Be an awesome sword and board heavy armor warrior, want to play a 2h barbarian in a loincloth.

Want me to go on? :D

  3. As an Archaeologist, he and others like him (Zacheria Stitchen, Erich von Daniken, Laurence Gardner etc) are the bane of my existance. They completely ignore the propensity for human acomplishment and the value of ancient cultures in favor of a 'We couldn't do it today, so it must be aliens' train of thought. It is completely absurd and ignores hundreds of well documented facts.

But thats the boiling blood talking, and dragging us off topic...

Dude, I'm jealous. As a kid I wanted to either be an archaelogist or a paleontologist... and you ARE one! I'm a librarian now, also fun, but I reckon way less fun than your job :(

    Ok, back ontopic people!

  4. First off, Moredhel, there are few people whose pictures you could have posted which would make my blood bloil even more... That man... He... ugh... I hope he dies. I really, really do. And painfully. "The bedrock is slightly radioactive here! Dur, there must have been an alien nuclear reactor on this spot!"... How about the fact the entire province has a high level of background radiation because of an abundance of radon gass? ugh...

Anywho, onto the point. The Argonians, by our best explination, were created by the Hist. From what, we don't know. Theres a story that the Khajit were created by Azura from Elves (Which would explain why they are so affected by lunar cycles), so it's possible the Hist used an extant race as a basis for the Argonians as well. If they were created from Elven settlers in Blackmarsh, it makes sense they maintained some traits.

I do agree, however, that i miss the digitgrade legs. It added so much more character to them...

Hehe, well I only know him from the meme, and his head simply makes me lol every time I see it :D Afaik he's known for his "aliens" punchline and I thought it would be funny to change that to "Argonians", since they're the most alien race in Skyrim!

edit: and yes I also miss their typical walk we saw in Morrowind :(

  5. Cool build, bro! I'm trying it right now :)

I do have one little issue... be breton or be high elf. Bretons are awesome for battle-mages, that's for sure, but I'd like to rp a little "cause havoc to everyone and everything in the empire because I'm an altmer who works for the Thalmor" ;) Downside of altmer at the start are no initial 25% magic resistance and slightly lower conjuration tho, with gives me time to ponder about that...

Is the 25% crucial for the build or not?

edit: the altmer DO have +50 magicka at the start, which is very handy ;)

  6. Hey guys,

Anyone else getting tired of the cane/walking stick-like look of the elven and orcish warhammer? The other ones look alright (especially the dwarven one), but imho warhammers should look like this:

    http://big-boss.dnsalias.com/Rune%20-%20HoV/Rune%20Startpicture%20middle.jpg

Image is from the awesome oldskool game Rune ;)

Could anyone mod or add warhammers so they look more like the one posted above?

  7. My rather rich fighter brazenly walked up to targets, murdered them in cold blood in front of multiple people, then cheeruflly paid the fine with a wink when the next Guard came up. Got to have some use for all that gold, and I completely enjoyed the Orc fighter version of stealth.

Oh, how I miss the Morag Tong writs.

Oh hell yeah! Burst in, kill target, show paper to guard, walk away clean.

    <3

  8. Hey people, me again.

I was wondering if anyone could do a little modding so orcs can have that long human/elf (high only? havent tested it on dark- and wood elves) hair as well :) I don't like the "shaven with a tail", bald and big-ass dreads looks for my insane orc barbarian, I just want his hair to be long and loose!

  9. Hey,

I'm currently playing a Breton with a 1hander + shield. Since Bretons have a natural 25% magica resistance, the Block perk Elemental Protection gives another 50%, which gives a total of 75% when I block. Unfortunately, I've never seen any resist magic damage gear so far on any of my chars. I know that stuff has to lie around somewhere, so when I enchant it on my armor I should be able to reach 100%, right?

Might it also bepossible to enchant all the way up to 100% without the blocking perk?

  10. she is your housecarl. she is suppose to be living off you since you don't give her any bloody salary do you?

you are a slave master is what you are, you don't even give someone in your employ any salary and you are complaining about her eating your food?

and what do you mean your food and booze?

do you buy anything and put them in your house and find some missing?

apparently she gets her own food and booze from the goodwill of other people since apparently you don't even feed her

how is she a freeloader when you are the one deciding whether or not she follows you.

she will even give her life for you and do anything you say just because you are her master.

so what you should be thinking is why are you ok with owning a slave?

    Nice rant, bro :D

  11. But to be serious, my silliest death was the moment I lvl'd up, had 50% health left and a bandit chief's battleaxe was arcing towards my head. Got killed by his power attack :(

edit: and I hadn't saved since I entered the hideout (Redoran's Retreat, packed with bandits before you do the redguard woman-quest) ;(
