I had the same problem you experienced. If you're using AFT then make absolute sure IT'S ALWAYS at the bottom of your load order. Ever since I made sure of that it's always worked flawlessly without problem. Also companion infinite ammo and unbreakable power armor maybe the problem because of the fact that it may not be compatible with it. If I'm not mistaken you can actually set infinite ammo and unbreakable power armor using AFT. You just have to find the option too.

I just spent my day-off trying to get my Fallout back to its original state. All day I have been downloading mods and getting itself back to the way I had it before it died. Now all of a sudden I can't read ANYTHING that registers as a note. I pick up a comic book. The game freezes and sits there waiting for me to restart my computer. I have absolutely no idea what would make it do that, and on top of that now my NMM won't even load up. I click on it to do so and it does nothing. I even try to run it as administrator and that does nothing as well. I just hate the fact that I spent my day-off basically doing this crap, to waste my time. So if anyone could help me with either of those problems I would greatly appreciate it.
