  1. Personally, I am not so worried for skyrim itself, but what about future titles, where they can engeneer an ingame pay-wall, where it is almost impossible to make/install mods without going thru steamworks, or simular stratagy. This is setting a precident, in which I am quite worried about. Will future games use this model? Will the only mods for fallout 4 be designed through steamworks? Its the president that this sets that worries me. Not the effect it has on skyrim itself.
  2. Wow. So I just learned of this yesterday. Not that I play skyrim a lot, but I just can't believe steam. I never liked steam. I only use steam for the few games that force me to use it. Although this issue effects the skyrim modding community a lot, I am wondering what effects this will have further down the line. When they come out with fallout 4, or or the next TES, will it be wholy designed around this? Will there even be a free modding community around as it exists today? Or will they /force/ mod developers to use the steam crap? That was my biggest concern. Just my 2 cents.
  3. I am wondering if it can effect the game play very badly (as in glitch out quests) if I run into people, before getting to them in the quest. For instance: (possible spoiler alert) I started a new game yesterday, and I have not really completed any of the story missions, or really even any combat missions as of yet.. I am just exploring around, and doing little bunny slope quests like bring package from point a to point b, or go tell someone something.. Basically just trying to stick to easy things, so that by the time I am exploring major dungeons or bunkers or whatever, I can unlock, hack, or fix my way through practically anything. But in exploring I have run across people like Deputy Beagle before inquiring about the delivery, and running into Jessup before even doing the Novac "come fly with me" quest.. (which makes the point of that quest useless, although you can still do the quest) I am wondering if things like this can glitch out the game very badly? I know its a sandbox game but I do want to finish the game for once !
